There’s just a single Gameweek 26 fixture on Sunday’s menu as Tottenham Hotspur entertain Stoke City in the 1.30pm kick off.

Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli boast the main goal threat for the hosts as Maurico Pochettino names the same XI that started against Genk in midweek – an indication that Spurs will line up in a 3-4-2-1 set-up.

Snapped up by over 96,000 FPL managers last week, Kane was the sixth most captained player in the Gameweek – he’s bagged four goals in his last two at the Lane and fired a hat-trick against Fulham in the FA Cup last weekend.

Eriksen, meanwhile, has delivered double-figures in four of his last six home appearances in the league and served up a goal and assist on Thursday evening.

Alli has managed attacking returns in four of his previous six at the Lane but was still subject to more sales (66,000+) than any player without a Gameweek 26 fixture.

Meanwhile, Fantasy managers have the chance to do some early scouting on Stoke’s main men ahead of a potential double Gameweek 27.

Should Man City progress past Huddersfield on Wednesday night and confirm the double, the likes of Peter Crouch and Marko Arnautovic could find their way into our short-term plans.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Refs prerogative though. Should be the same but people see and react in different ways to a situation. Looking from the outside is different to being inside. Up to the ref within guidelines ..

No, of course he has, the season he got his transfer to Napoli.

            1. Somalion
              • 16 Years
              9 years, 5 months ago

Yeah 14/15 he scored 15 league goals, but as a RW. Every other season has been below 10

        2. Camp No No
          • 12 Years
          9 years, 5 months ago

Anyway, I think that's also a lot because he has only been a sub player at Napoli, never a starter.

Playing the last minutes instead of the whole game also brings his shots/90 stats up, of course, but still, I think he definitely could be a 10+ goal scorer if he was a starter in a strong team like Napoli.

      2. Camp No No
        • 12 Years
        9 years, 5 months ago

Nah, even that's harsh, tbh. He has always got a good number of shots/90, and has converted at a fine rate from everywhere. Maybe a little too fine, but he definitely can shoot. And I can totally see why he could succeed at Southampton. They've been producing high number of good quality shots all the season, but have converted them at a low rate. They really have just needed a guy who gets in to scoring positions and can convert a good chance when he gets one. Gabbiadini could be just that guy.

        1. Somalion
          • 16 Years
          9 years, 5 months ago

I think his positioning is a really key part of it. His current output is still unsustainable, but with their quick breaks and fast wing play, a nippy poacher in the box may well be the answer to their issues.

          1. Camp No No
            • 12 Years
            9 years, 5 months ago

Of course it is, but at current rate he would score 50+ goals/season, and that's not what I'm suggesting. 😆

Southampton is already good at keeping possession and has so much creativity in their attack, it's a team that really can use just that type of a player and I can totally see that he can score 10-15 goals for them in PL every season, sometimes even more.

Not saying he's a great individual player, but put in the right team, he can have great value as a good level goalscorer.

            1. Somalion
              • 16 Years
              9 years, 5 months ago

I agree, all he needs is to be around to take shots in the box, as long as that is his sole job he may well do a very decent job for them

…and actually, more annoying than any claim that PL is the best, is the arrogant overlooking of the other leagues as carp, and pretending that players/clubs in them just generally don't have the quality compared to PL, which simply is not true.

What do you prefer for GW27
    A) Jesus + Eriksen > Kun + Sane (-4)
    B) Jesus + Phillips + Kane/Lukaku > Kun + Sterling + Llorente (-8)

    B) with Lukaku is tempting as I would be happy having Llorente for GW27/28/29, but it would give me a benching nightmare GW27 as I would have to bench one of Siggy, Eriksen, Kane, Mane or Pedro!
