Gameweek 26 concludes at the home of the champions for a match-up which became a very different proposition only late last week with news of Claudio Ranieri’s departure.

The Foxes now hand the reins to caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare in a bid to halt a dismal run that has seen them lose all of their last five, with not a single goal scored in the six.

On paper, this seems a formality for Liverpool, then, although Jurgen Klopp’s men will surely be anticipating a reaction both from the team and the vociferous Foxes faithful tonight.

Nonetheless, the Reds arrive in buoyant mood. They come fresh from a fine 2-0 victory over Spurs back in Gameweek 25, a match that saw Sadio Mane emerge as a two-goal hero and a Fantasy hot property ever since.

Mane has been involved in 17 goals (scoring 11, assisting 6) – more than any other Liverpool player and is backed by more than 366,000 new owners, with over 113,000 FPL managers handing the Senegalese the captaincy.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Carragher nailing it: Leicester won the game based on energy and commitment. That's not based on tactics.

Most sprints, told to play higher up the pitch. I do feel like Ranieri changed the winning strategy, it'd frustrate me as a player.

Cheers to the guy who convinced me to do Sanchez->Mane and Amat->Robertson over Phillips->Coutinho and Ibra->Kane/Costa.

Probably would've made the same transfers anyway, but at least now I can project the blame for a very average gw off myself.

Fair enough. Meant it light heartedly, didn't expect such a reaction.

Clearly no sense coming on here looking for advice and then turning on people when it goes wrong, but I suppose I've seen enough people genuinely think that way that I should've seen that it would be taken seriously rather than jokingly

No, you can't. However, you can take the responsibility for not having the courage of your convictions, for getting a lower score, and for thinking, shamelessly, that you can project the blame off yourself.

Was the best pick of the bunch, actually. And will continue to be, I think. I picked him over Mane this week for a reason...and it wasn't luck. Look at his average positioning recently. He was way forward and unlucky not to get a haul against Spurs. And he saved me 1.1M.

From watching game Coutinho looked to play himself back to form despite poor Liverpool performance overall. Is Mane ( who I am not sure recovered from Vardy clattering into him) to Coutinho to release cash to get Aguero in for - 4 overall crazy idea?

Why not do Mane to Sterling to free up Aguero cash, then Sterling to Coutinho for GW28?

2 to the power of 12 = 4095 other teams
Not even halfway through yet unfortunately

Good achievement, but those numbers make it sound much better than what it is due to the way the numbers decrease slower and slower each round. But still a good achievement though.

So it looks like Firmino wins round 1 in the Firmino vs Mane battle, seeing as his failure cost less.

    That's how it works right?

      Firmino due vs Arsenal 😛

There's something to be said for having the brand name 2 points as opposed to the knock offs though

Didn't watch the game. Sadio Mane injured? Why was he subbed off?

    I can never win. Ugh.

    Guys, need some advice here.
Who would you rather have for the next gw?
    1) Alli (Everon H)
    2) Siggy-4 (Burn H)

The Siggy transfer is relative, because by taking the -4, I'll be saving a transfer in gw 28 if that makes sense. If Siggy doesn't come in gw27 I use the Ft for Alli-->Siggy in 28

I'm actually leaning towards Hazard + Lukaku --> Sterling + Aguero (-8) with the following team:

    Foster - Grant
    Azp - Coleman - Baines - Robertson - Amat
    Hazard* - Alli - Eriksen - Siggy - T. Carroll
    Ibra - Lukaku* - A. Carroll

Go or no go? What would you guys prefer?

Well my team before the wildcard and with the -8 would have scored 42 points. WC team got 60, so already 18 up!

11 ready for GW 28 and no one idiotic going forward... quite confident there!

Have cash ITB to get Aguero if they make it through and have Grant ready. Could get Sane/Sterling too if I wanted to be bold, but would probably just stick with the two of them.

Just means all my transfers after next week will be with end of season doubles in mind.

Deadly. Should have 11 myself for gw28, but just Aguero if City have the double.

Early wildcard may well have been the way to go, still plenty of free transfers between here and DGWs

        Definitely captain.
Would be very very tempted for the triple. Depends on his minutes mid week (and if they make it through of course!)
