Manchester City finally book their place in the FA Cup quarter finals as they hit five for the second match running and confirm their double Gameweek 27.

Man City 5 Huddersfield 1

A Sergio Aguero brace and fine performances from Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane broke a spirited Huddersfield at the second time of asking.

It also sparked an overnight rush to buy into the consequent double Gameweek for City, who travel to Sunderland at the weekend before entertaining Stoke City next Wednesday.

Aguero leapt from ninth to fifth for players purchased with more than 36,000 swooping in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, Sterling rose to second (from fourth) with over 28,000 investing overnight. Both John Stones and Sane also enjoyed an increase in transfers among Fantasy managers keen to exploit the short-term appeal of Pep Guardiola’s players.

And short-term it is. A blank Gameweek 28 will follow, with Liverpool at home and away matches at Arsenal and Chelsea to come after that.

The victory over Huddersfield was a very City performance – at times irresistible in attack, often incoherent in defence.

The recalled Claudio Bravo looked like a man giving up goalkeeping for Lent when he dived over a Huddersfield shot to give the visitors a shock early lead.

But when Sane equalised from a Sterling assist and Aguero scored from the penalty spot following a foul on Nicolas Otamendi, the tie was only ever going to end one way.

A Pablo Zabaleta tap-in from an Aguero cut-back before the break confirmed the primacy of their attack, although the visitors still had good chances either side of half-time as City’s defence once again failed to impress.

Sterling set up Aguero for his second and substitutes Kelechi Iheanacho and Jesus Navas combined to round off the scoring at the death as a tired Huddersfield finally capitulated.

Aguero (12.7) now has four goals and three assists from his last four starts in all competitions and his high price is clearly not an issue for some Fantasy managers.

Guardiola was certainly keen to talk him up post-match.

“It’s the best Sergio Aguero ever. Today the performance was amazing. The runs were at the right moment and the right tempo. His performance was top.”

Sterling, however, is looking particularly consistent – he has either scored or assisted in his last six matches in all competitions – and his 7.8 price tag is rather more easily afforded by those with less cash to splash.

Let’s also not forget Sane, though, whose opener took his tally to four goals and three assists in his last seven starts across all competitions. Setting you back 7.5 and with 1% ownership, the German looks well set to emerge as an enticing differential for the double.

Manchester City X: Bravo, Zabaleta, Stones, Otamendi, Clichy, Fernandinho, Sane (Navas 81), De Bruyne (Delph 75), Garcia, Sterling, Agüero (Iheanacho 79).
Subs not used: Caballero, Sagna, Fernando, Silva.

So Alli -> Sterling is worth a -4?

I think so - Sterling with 2 easy games could definitely make up for Alli's points + the hit

It's the higher risk, higher reward strategy.
I am doing Alli to Sterling (-4), Sterling to Mane (-4), Mane to Sanchez (-4) over the next 3 weeks as I'd rather have key players each week than go without.

    B) Coleman (tot)
    C) Walker (EVE)
    D) Naughton (BUR)

I think A is a no brainer to bench but I'm not sure about playing Naughton over Coleman...

    Have Sterling at the moment.
Thinking of getting Sane in, rather than do a "reverse ferret" to swap Lukaku Aguero for one week.

    Am I (in)Sane?

I think the damage an Aguero haul can do if you don't have him far outweighs the scenario where he underperforms (we'll all be in the same boat)

Would not leave Aguero out in the DGW, especially after his displays in the past week

I brought in Sterling and Sane as well. Left Aguero out because I didnt want to loose Ibra or Lukaku. Might regret this if Aguero (C or TC) brings in a massive haul. But I figure if Aguero does score/assist, Sterling or Sane would be involved

I have Coleman, Baines, Brunt, Maguire, Pieters

Playing Coleman, Brunt & Pieters with Maguire and Baines as 1st and 2nd sub.

I'm starting Philips so there's every chance that my bench could come into play. I think Everton will concede, however with Coleman's form at the moment it's hard to leave him out. I think there is more chance of him getting forward and scoring attacking points than Everton getting a pen and Baines scoring.

Mini league leader has 69 point lead with (-8) for GW27. He has no chips left so no Aguero TC. Which of the following options do I look to do to gain back ground.

    A). Alli , Lukaku -> Sterling, Agueo

B). Alli, Lukaku, Hazard -> Sterling, Aguero, Sane (-4)

C). Alli, Lukaku, Hazard -> Sterling, Aguero, Sigurdsson (-4)

That's what's putting me off, its that run of fixtures City have of Blank(28) Liv H (29) Ars A (30) Che A (31).

Most people on here only considering the points hit they'll have to take to get 2/3 city players in.
They'll need a further few points hit to get em out too.

Only Aguero and Sterling, transferring out Mane or Siggy for a hit seems too much, so Jesus to Aguero, and Alli to Sterling (-4).

TC Aguero, probably. It will be fun, could be major OR boost, fixtures seem perfect, I don't see much threat of him being rested ie. not starting, and he could even be on penalties again, Yaya or no Yaya on the pitch. Aguero with 120-150 mins in two games is worth TC imo.

Probably 3 players from City (Aguero, Sterling and Silva).
I think Silva got his rest and will start both the games, and his recent stats point towards an incoming haul 😉
      No players from Stoke

So who out of the Mods on the Scoutcast are we expecting to see TC Kun then Jonty? lets put a wager on this lol. Mark I'd say no chance after all the logic he was dishing out on why we perhaps should. He is so gonna chicken out is my guess given his position and the uncertainty over Kun actually playing in both games.. Should but never know with Pep

Anyhoo yeah got three, already had Grant. -4 seems acceptable, anything more than that going into GW28 might be stretching things a little to far?.

I took a -4 in gw26 and scored 87 points, so my philosophy is.
      1. I can afford to take a -4 in gw 27 (kun and sterling in) based on my previous above average week.
      2. If I score well in gw27 (also with a -4), then I shall take another hit for gw28 to give me 9 players. If I score poorly I will not.
      3. Not too worried about disruption to team as I intend playing wildcard wks 29/30.

Why would a previous week's score indicate whether you can take a hit or not?
If you think a hit is +ev then you should take it, if not then don't.

The whole thing is a bit paradoxical.
      a) Aguerro to who?
1.Ibra has potentially one of his best fixtures of the season but isn't needed after until gw30
      2. Kane seems unstoppable playing at home and is needed in gw29
      3. Lukaku has a very tough game but a coveted fixture in 28

      b) Sterling and Sane
      1. What will there minutes be like?
      2. Will they outscore the likes of Eriksen and Alli who people are dropping like stones for. These players also have great fixtures after the blanks and will be wanted back in place of Sterling/Sterling
Seems like all these hits back and forth could potentially land managers with negative scores. Of course, they could sail through and score 9 goals but it could fail miserably too.

I'm personally looking at Mane to Coutinho and Lukaku to Aguerro. Get Lukaku back for 28 and hold Alli, Kane and Ibra through this time very exciting time in season.

Just Aguerro for me. TC? Probably not.

Already had Pieters, brought in Kun and Sterling for -4. I very grudgingly decided to trade Ibra for Kun as I didn't have the funds to make Ali and Kaku work and didn't want a -8. Also I didn't wan't to transfer Mane or Siggy as it would have affected my GK28 team.

Will probably TC as I'm all in! Even though Ibra and Sanchez have DGW's I can't see a better set of fixtures than Kun has.

Know it's only 2 games (Monaco & weak Huddersfield) and not PL but Kun looks in the mood.
Stoke away form against top sides is poor and Sunderland always capable of conceding large scores.
Don't think Kun rotation is an issue and reduced minutes will probably mean the game is won.
So Kun and Sterling definitely in. Possibly Stones for Holgate.(-4)

Aguero (c) and Sane for -4, couldn't afford sterling. Don't think it's worth more than a minus 4 personally

With the blank following and possible rotation, could easily end up with cancelling out your minus 8 and not getting much more, even if your player scores 1 for 5 points plus 2 playing points only gaining and gets two in second game, that's 9, minus four for hit, and two at least for who u would of played. Only 3 better plus may need extra transfers to fix side up after if take multiple hits - BUT it is a double gw so go crazy

Clear enough but same can be said for Sanchez, Ibra, Kane which all have a higher ownership of active managers. We don't know which fixtures will pan out in a DGW for these players nor if they will be fit or in form at the time. So much of this is covered by this scenario right here, right now. Also 27 has a 7 in it and that's my lucky number 😀

Possible double for Sanchez and Aguero rotation main concerns.

I think Aguero's chances of starting both in DGW is as good and as unpredictable as Ibra's or Sachez's.

So I'm going TC with Kun.

I mean, I suspect Zlatan may not even start against Bournemouth, looking at how tired he is and the insane schedule ahead.

What do you think is a good move? Plan to TC Aguero.

    1) Courtois & Kane to Grant & Aguero for -4
    2) above move+ Hazard to Sterling and Zaha to Siggy for -12 (I want to bring Siggy in next week, so given his fixture, why not this week?).
    3) Hazard & Costa to Sterling & Aguero (-4).

I think of the same too but Sterling had been paying me off before I shipped him out for Mane in the previous GW. Going without him in DGW and just Aguero from City is not making me comfortable. Thank you for your suggestion!

Alonso to 6.0 (5.7 if I go Sterling)

I did Heaton, Stanislas, Phillips, Costa > Pickford, Carroll, Sané, Kün. It looks crazy because heaton is the best scoring goalkeeper, but till GW 34 he only has 3 home games: Spurs, Stoke and ManU. During the Stoke fixture Jakupovic has Middlesbrough at home. Heaton possibly could play in away matches to Swansea, Sunderland and Middlesbrough, but I don't expect many CS from Burnley away. So it might feel wrong, but if you also still have your WC you'll choose another GK then anyway for the DGW. I've kept Eriksen for example, however I already have Siggy. So in your case I might just do Alli>Siggy unless you got him early on.

For me B is probably the best option if you can hack getting rid of Costa Vs West Ham. I'm struggling with Lukaku. Yoshida is a good 5th defender option and I wouldn't upgrade. Unless of course the rest of your defense is budget and he's actually one of your best.

You have plan for some transfer next week? Next week, Aguero/Costa to Luka for free?

I think Costa against WHM has higher potential as compared to Luka vs Spurs, but if you have some other transfers to do next week, then Costa to Aguero.

Lads, is it worth doing Puncheon to Tom Carroll for a 4 point hit (hear me out)?

Going to do it next week anyways (for a hit) to save funds and have someone extra playing. With Phillips being a doubt I have Puncheon (FunesMori/Yoshida) coming off the bench, almost guaranteed 2 points. I'm not expecting anything more from Tom Caroll but surely he's got that better chance of points so worth bringing him in for a hit? Means an 8 point hit this week and no hit next week. Was going to be 4 + 4.

Spurs Vs Everton is going to be Squeaky bum at its finest.

You're not set up very well for week 28 so I wouldn't transfer out Lukaku when you will have to get him in again. I would wait on Phillips news and if he's out do something like Phillips, Alli & Costa to King, Sterling and Aguero.
Then next week Sterling and Aguero to Siggy and Carroll.
Week after you should have enough to get rid of Rondon and a mid for Sanchez and Costa/Kane

Mini league leader has 69 point lead with (-8) for GW27. He has no chips left so no Aguero TC. Which of the following options do I do to gain back ground.

    A). Alli , Lukaku -> Sterling, Agueo

B). Alli, Lukaku, Hazard -> Sterling, Aguero, Sane (-4)

C). Alli, Lukaku, Hazard -> Sterling, Aguero, Sigurdsson (-4)

C for me, as Siggy has good fixture too and will play 28. 3 city players is a bit too much to get rid of later, as their fixture is not too appealing after DGW.
