I am a Fantasy Football manager, and I’m addicted to double Gameweeks. It’s a confession that the ScoutCast team are all too eager to admit in this latest ScoutCast episode.

Recorded prior to the confirmation of the first double Gameweek of the season, we were nonetheless correctly counting our chickens and allowing your multitude of community questions on Manchester City assets to steer the chatter.

Granville rejoined Jonty, Andy and myself to reinforce our investigation in Pep’s charges and to add his views to the heated Triple Captain debate surrounding Sergio Aguero. Yes, him again.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience, pastry and all, via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Apart from players from Everton vs West Brom game, how many players are you planning to have for GW28?

5 or 6 depending on Phillips. 5/6 in Everton game.

      5. 9 in total.

      4. 5 if I bring King this week

      11 if Phillips plays.

Then probably Wildcard the following week to load up on players with double gameweeks further down the line.

CL nights more likely I think. They don't really need to do much catching up once the FA Cup results are in. Pack 34 as much as possible along with 37 then sort the rest.

Hi everyone have a bit of a dilemma having to look at the double gameweek and GW28. Which option to go for ?

    1. Sterling, Mcauley, Llorente in
    2. Aguero, Fer, Maeson in

This is a bit confusing. In 1, you don't have Aguero at all so can't captain him?

      1. Effendi007
        • 9 Years
        9 years, 28 days ago

The scars of me captaining him with -1 points still stings a bit so I'm still a tad reluctant so I needed another option

Aguero, Yaya, Llorente is another option

Eriksen and Lukaku -> Kun and Sterling done for free. Which of these is worth a -4?
    A. Zaha -> Lanzini/Snodgrass
    B. Negredo -> Caroll/Llorente

Currently GW34 & GW37 are the likely next DGWs correct?

What other GWs might have a DGW?

    1. Jafooli
      • 14 Years
      9 years, 28 days ago

And what is the favoured approach - TC in 34, WC in 35/36, BB in 37, is that correct?

      2. Loðbrók

TC Aguero now. BB gw37. Gw34 also has FA Cup semi finals so many of the top teams wont have DGWs. Arsenal will probably have a random DGW between gw32-36

        1. Jafooli
          • 14 Years
          9 years, 28 days ago

Okay cheers Walchez, but GW34 & 37 will be DGWs right? And best to BB in 37, preceded by WC in 35/36?

So we're saying Sanchez/Ibra/other big hitter unlikely to have a better DGW for TC than this week?

          1. Eze Really?
            • 11 Years
            9 years, 28 days ago

I understand the logic of WC before GW38. My thoughts are getting a longer term benefit from using it. Those who use early, quite often don't lose out as a 5 week projection often pays.

          2. Loðbrók
            • 11 Years
            9 years, 28 days ago

The GW37 will be a sertain DGW for many teams. I think WC in 36 and BB in 37 will be the safest. Some people also WC gw29 to sort the team out after the blank 28. But then you have to plan very carefully for the rest of the season.

GW34 will probably have a a few teams haveing DGW, but since Arsenal, City, Spurs and United/Chelsea are likely to advance to the FA cup semi they will play the semi that weekend and get their matches postponed to the following midweek. So no DGWs for those teams.

It looks like if Chelsea beat United in rhe FA cup, United will have DGW in 34.

              Sry for my bad english.

Last but not least if Arsenal advance to FA semi they will probably get a DGW a Champions League week between 32-36

      GW29: Mane -》Sanchez

      GW30: Brunt + Rondon -》Gabbadiani + Bertrand -4

What to do next for this gw:

    1. Stop with hits
    2. Barnes to Llorente and play AOA
    3. Love/Amat to Stones/Zaba/Pieters
    4. Pva to Mawson or defender for gw 28 who can grab cs this gw

    Foster
    Brunt, Baines, Pva

    Alonso Coleman pieters (maguire,Holgate)
Mane capoue sterling (C) eriksen (philips)
    Kaku costa(VC) Defoe
    ITB : £3.3

Already used my FT (alli > sterling)
    Should I do capoue>Siggy for -4?

Don't you think just sterling as a lone city cover and capoue makes my MF weak? You reckon siggy can make up for the hit against burnley at home?

        1. Eze Really?

Obviously you have thought about it.
I am too scared not to get Kun as captain.
I woul probably do Costa Kun

    Who's your captain in GW28?

Anyone outside Lukaku, Liv Mid, Siggy?

I will be going for either Firmino/Coutinho.
King might be a good option.

Strong home player at home to WBA
Kane did get a hatty in a similar situation

    Jaku
    Alonso Jones Brunt McAuley
    Sanchez Sterling(c) Phillips Siggy
    Kane Lukaku
    Heaton Gray Baines Snodgrass

Is this gtg? Also, captain and bench in order?

Yes, but concerned about Jones, Philips and Snodgrass as of now. Also, will have to ship one of the WBA def.

Strongly considering gw29 wildcard. Which teams definitely have doubles after gw27?

Spurs, Chelsea, Utd (2?), Arsenal (?)

    Southampton?

Do any of the teams with cheaper assets have doubles?

Are there injury concerns/other issues? Otherwise, wait a GW or two more.

Every team which doesn't play in 28 will have a double at some point.

So as per my assumptions and calculations I will be getting 109 pts this GW (after considering hits). Ok, I will take that 😛
Anybody else builds up expectations like this to be surprised / disappointed later..

Have Sterling, but either of Sanchez/Kane/Lukaku will have to get good points.

History suggests that this is the last option the league would want to take.

Taking a huge punt with this prediction..it looks like they are going to have the champions league slots available soon so time to accommodate.

They could have two doubles very close
      together though.

Well they have an outisde chance of progressing in CL, a 6-0 drubbing of Bayern at Emirates, come on that is easily doable for Gunners 😉

      Yeah but what defense?
Worst case scenario is Alders Vert and Rose out.
Although I have not heard pressers for Alders and Vert.
      Best case only Rose.

      Very hard game to predict.

I'm convinced Spurs are a really good side.

Perhaps it's because stoke fan and I'm used to getting 4-0 thumpings twice a year...

Everton I see as a decent side in very good form.

2-1 if I had to give a prediction. I have Coleman and Baines on bench atm.

      1. Eze Really?
