Earlier this morning, the Premier League kindly helped to relieve the monotony brought on by another international break by confirming the rescheduling of a number of fixtures that were previously postponed due to FA Cup ties.

The following matches have now been moved into Gameweek 34:

Chelsea v Southampton
Arsenal v Leicester
Crystal Palace v Spurs
Middlesbrough v Sunderland
Manchester City v Manchester United

As a result, we now have three teams set to play twice in Gameweek 34 – Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and Manchester United.

Palace hardly have the most appealing pair of fixtures – Big Sam’s will now travel to Liverpool before hosting Spurs.

Middlesbrough face two vital relegation clashes, with a trip to Bournemouth preceding their home encounter with Sunderland.

Man United, meanwhile, will hit the road twice – making their way to Burnley before rolling up to neighbours City on Thursday April 27 in the final match of Gameweek 34.

As a result of this rescheduling, those holding West Bromwich Albion players should be aware that the Baggies are the only team that will face a blank in Gameweek 34.

The Premier League have also revealed that the remaining postponed fixtures will be confirmed “on or around Friday, April 7”, which is just prior to the weekend of Gameweek 32.

At present, there are six matches yet to be afforded a new date:

Arsenal v Sunderland
Chelsea v Watford
Leicester v Spurs
Man City v West Brom
Southampton v Arsenal
Southampton v Man United

We’ll go into more detail on the knock-on effect of today’s news in future “Scouting the Doubles” fixtures nearer the time but, for now, this is just a heads-up.

Those with your triple captain chips still to use, do you have a rough idea who and when you are going to use it?

      Ibra GW34

Check an earlier post of mine

      Ibra ruled out for me

I basically think Alexis is the only option if fit, if not got no other option but to punt on someone

I know the BB chip is best used on a DGW but for this coming GW my bench fixtures are wat, SUN, BOU, swa.
I doubt I will get much better fixtures so could it be worth using this week or wait until the DGW?

Yeah I'm on 5:th place, 55 points behind my ML leader. My team is better set up going forward though. I think it might go down to the wire but I hope my WC/BB might swing in in my favour.

Anyone with BB and TC left tempted to TC in GW37?

There's some big teams with very good fixtures in 37, might be difficult to fully BB but TC could be nice.

Unless the arsenal DGW is earlier, I'm doing that. Think a good TC with 10-11 DGW players can proper offset 15 DGW players.

I think bench boost week 37 is the only decent option. Triple captain is a pure luck chip. Bench boost with 15 dw starters should pay off handsomely

I like the fact that you have thought about it Andy, but we still have to remember that you can still captain that same player in GW37 and BB.

    Repost.

Is there any chance that the Arsenal vs Soton fixture will be rearranged for before GW34?

And if not the only 2 Gameweeks left to arrange that are GW35 or 36 right?

In a single GW where you have good fixtures. It's not like you'll get 0. They are called bench players for a reason. Are you expecting, double clean sheets, from every defender and keeper, and double hatty from you 5th mid who's 3rd on the bench?

Not if the captain is from GW 37. Whom are you going to cover. You are benching boosting 4 players, not 15. Keep that in mind. You think your 4 bench players with DGW can easily outscore TC + bench boost with SGW. Ok.

Have to agree here. Ur likely to captain peoples triple up anyway. 13-15 players playing twice if nailed on starters have twice the chance to score get clean sheets etc

nobody is stopping you from playing it in a sgw but BB of 15 players in a dgw becomes 30 players one of which is captained becomes 32 players? how is using BB in a SGW of 16 better than 32?

Interested to know what funds would be needed to get the "essentials" for a GW37 BB. I tried playing around with it (mines worth around 105m) and had to miss out on some sizeable hitters.

Depends if they're willing to use it in 37.

Options seem to be Ibra in 34 or Sanchez in 35 or 36. Neither fixtures are great but they could both easily score more than 9. Fingers crossed it's not a huge points difference

Spurs have WAT, BOU and Everton have LEI, BUR in GWs 32 & 33. Surely there has to be an argument for taking a deep breath and going with Ali or Lukaku in a single gameweek?

Agreed - you're only up against a lot of people who had Aguero's 9 points - something that can be overhauled in a single gameweek.

I'm wondering the same about both Chambers & Friend. Boro supporting mate of mine says Fabio has been playing well and would be unfortunate to lose his place. Friend is the captain when Leadbitter doesn't play and Chambers has been used at both centreback and rightback so I think both of them will play when fit.

For those planning on utilizing WC for BB and TC I think assuming G.Jesus is out of the question.

GW32 onwards Aguero is borderline essential plum fixtures, has a very good DGW37 fixtures that shout captaincy. So I think after GW34 is over and assuming GW35 has no double thats the best time to WC allowing teams to bring in kun or enough FT's to ship if signs Jesus will take his spot back

What are your thoughts on this?

This is fairly straight-forward for me, team in ruins from the last 3-4 weeks. Now time for a WC to get the essentials from Arsenal, Spurs, United & Chelsea back in, possibly a Sterling from Citeh. Then fill up the rest of my team with those that double in 37 with a few from 34 to swap between 34 & 37. Should be fairly easy to get 15 for BB37. Also means I'll have a better team for the next 4-5 weeks.

Same here Greg (have you finally eaten that curry BTW?).

Looking at something along the lines of:

        Valdes, Pickford
        Walker, Valencia, Coleman, gimp, gimp
        Mane, Ali, Tadic?, Pedro?, Siggy
        Lukaku, Vardy?, Barnes
+ some cash in the bank

Sterling can come in in a few weeks fro whoever, and Vardy is keeping Ibra's spot warm for me.

    10. Kimmich
      • 9 Years

      Grant - Jakupovic
      Walker - Valencia - Baines - Chambers - Yoshida
Sanchez - Mane - Siggy - Grosicki - de Roon
      Costa - Lukaku - Carroll

1FT, 3.3itb. Vardy (STK, SUN) instead of Lukaku (LIV, MUN) a decent shout? Or maybe bring Alli in?

Anyone considering keeping Lukaku in 37 even though he singles? Gotta think he scores big v Watford at home

I'd rather have Kane & Costa. IF I can afford him then definitely but too many other big hitters doubling.

Yeah fair point, Kane for sure but Lukaku could better Costa I feel

Cheers Andy. Great post. Provides a more detailed picture and helps us look beyond 34.

        I wildcarded this week
Knew arsenal and Southampton had more dgws ahead

So got Sanchez Gabbadini Cech (and jwp and bertrand)

        3 flags already

Any news on cech or gabbadini?

Why isnt anyone talking about BB34?
        1. All the SGW players have got pretty decent fixtures
        2. Lets be honest the DGW players are gonna be crap.
        3. I like my team at the moment and my bench is made up of Brunt, Foster and De Roon who will be doubling anyway.
        4. DGW37 you will be able to concentrate on 11 really good DGW players and nt spread the risk too much
        5. Gives you the flexibility of WCíng in 37 itself
