As our two Premier League cup competitions reach the last 16 stage, we take a look at some of the key Round Six encounters.

Mark, the open to all cup’s only remaining former winner, saw off hishamkmr by a 20-point margin in Round Five to set up a tie with Cars and Mane.

Mark’s rank of 270 makes him the contest’s highest-placed manager, but his opponent will be no pushover – he’s ranked a mere 326 places behind him and is one of five other top 1,000 managers left in the competition.

Another of this elite group is the 849-placed My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg), who takes on NUFC Fifer,  the contest’s second-highest ranked manager at 279th.

The remaining top 1,000 derby involves the 843-ranked Choppers13 squaring up to Patio Kev, who is 438 places above him.

The open to all cup’s lowest-ranked surviving managers, 256,208-placed The Shaman and K3lviN, who is 392,260 in the world, will be breathing a sigh of relief at avoiding one of those high-fliers.

However, with K3lviN taking on the 30,712-ranked Pilgrim and The Shaman encountering 50,328 rogerbarton, they both still have plenty to do to progress to the quarter-finals.

The full Sixth Round draw can be found here.

Rogerbarton takes the title of giant killer in chief in the Members Cup after seeing off Pukka, who went into Round Five ranked 88th in the world. Placed at the 50,328 mark, Roger faces another tough tie when he meets up with the 15,676-ranked Dr Ennet in the final 16.

With Pukka sent packing, Choppers13 is now the highest-ranked remaining manager as his dream of a cup double remains on track. He has a favourable Round Six clash with the 369,310-placed FrankieTheGent.

Community scribe Kryten was another to emerge victorious from Round Five. He next tackles Cheltnamshire lalala, who, with a rank of 3,177, is 7,963 places ahead of him.

The full Sixth Round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved, and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

    WC confirmed:

    Caballero
    Alonso - Monreal - Blind - Yoshida - Holgate
    Sanchez - Hazard - Sane - King - JWP
    Kane - Benteke - Gabbindini

    1. Benteke to maybe become Jesus or Rashford for DGW37 (BB)
    2. Sanchez TC in DGW36

No Spurs mids, but hey ho. Any major clangers?

Something's got to give, and thinking well I've got Kane and guessing the correct one from Alli/Eriksen/Son is impossible.....so gamble of the tube Sane....

nice WC btw. Just about right team value is blessing - not too low to hamstring options, not too high to be tempted by the 'premium' folks.

On my Wildcard - looking for some advice on the final touches:

    Caballero
    Alonso / Vertonghen / Stephens
    Sanchez / Hazard / Eriksen / Sane / King
    Kane / Gabbiadini

    Bench: Pickford / 1. Jesus / 2. Monreal / 3. Holgate

Originally I had Benteke over Jesus & had planned to do Benteke > Jesus for GW36 anyway. Having Jesus makes the bench decision a little easier (perhaps limited minutes) - correct?

If I do this - how does a 1 week punt on Coutinho sound? Instead, my GW36 transfer will be Coutinho > Sanchez.

Coutinho could be a (C) option; a slight differential at that. Decent idea?

Also, would you start Monreal over Stephens, or not?

    Thanks all!

G2g. Ya punt on Coutinho is provided worth it but would be nice to be able to save the free and have 2 into 37 incase you need to change something. Could be worth the hit though with Coutinho

Thank you. I might stick to what you are suggesting. The Coutinho punt is tempting, but if it doesn't pay off, I am one FT down and if Sanchez returns - his high ownership might punish me a little.

Good Team. Are you planning to BB oar TC in 36 or 37?

I'd stick with Stephens this week.

Think I have to go TC in 36 & BB in 37 - following the crowd. All opportunity cost, really - I figure I'll be punished less by following the crowd.

TC in 36 isn't the most ideal, but it's better than nothing at all.

    Game Week 34 - Smooth

111 (-4) absolutely delighted to get a ton. My first season on FPL so this is my best GW ever. My transfer of Heaton to De Gea and my hit To bring Blind for Brunt paid off. Already had chosen Bailly over Valencia (more popular and more expensive) in GW30 which has also paid off as he has started all games since Jones and Smalling have been injured. I was expecting Utd clean sheets: Burnley don't score many and Mourinho loves parking the bus against the big sides (remember Liverpool away - same game plan). I seem to remember in the last double game week Man City defenders did well as City returned with two clean sheets. Captaincy paid off with Benteke as thought he will motivated to go back to his former club and Liverpool have defensive issues particularly with set pieces so thought chance of Benteke scoring there. Scoring against Tottenham would be hard so did think on putting C on Blind as thought he will do well on bonus with him taking corners but never brave enough to captain a defender - always favour the attacker. Coutinho and Eriksen did well - my favourite midfielders alongside Hazard who I couldn't afford (and Sanchez but his recent form has been awful) and are heavily involved in set pieces so always chance for a assist or goal. So an enjoyable game week overall jumping from 153k to 60k with triple C, Wildcard, BB and all out attack chips still to play.

I really hope Jonty is reading this and can kindly give me a mention on the next Scoutcast. I love the show and enjoy listening to it on my journey to work.

some really cool decision making there, focusing on defenders was very rational imo, navigated that well - i couldn't believe the movement towards Boro and Negredo.

Congrats on a good first season

I really didn't fancy Boro at all - my mate at work is a Boro fan and he said don't get any and don't even think of getting Negredo and captaining him. Already had Gibson from before as think he is a good defender and likely to go to a bigger club in the summer. I am surprised that so many captained Negredo - that's why I play the game my way and not follow the herd.

    Vertonghen, Blind*, Gabriel*, Yoshida, Holgate
    Sanchez, Alli, Hazard, JWP, King
    Kaku, Kane, Gabbi*
Potential bench in 37: Caballero, Yoshida, Holgate, JWP (so worth doing)

Zaha faces Burnley who are tight defensible. Yes they'll conceded but probably not more than 1 or 2. Zaha won't have much space to run through the defence so their game plan will be to get the ball to Benteke's head and Cabaye and Townsend have more assist appeal on that front so it would be Zaha for me

      No worries about Stones missing?

Yeah, he's a worry. But I'll probably hold this week in the hope he comes back into the team when fit for their good fixtures, which could still be this week. If not, Bavies isn't the worst sub.

Jaku or Caballero are the only ones that make sense to me. Under 5m i.e.

Yeah, that's swaying me towards A or C. Which keeper would you get in C? Don't want to splash too much cash as looking to do Son > Haz (and maybe Lukaku -> Costa) next week.

Those 3 in defense might not start, adding a new defender might be better.

Yeah, they're all a bit uncertain, but with Phillips likely out for WBA I think Brunt should start. United still very much in the race for top 4 also so hopeful with Valencia. Stones is the biggest risk, but at least Robinson is nailed and I don't think Rose is back so Bavies should also play. Threadbare but I think it should be ok, just 🙂

      found the Kane couch yet?

      I'd say B. D if you're feeling frisky.

Do we think Rashford will be rested against Swansea? He will be needed for Europa whereas Martial isn't
