Gameweek 13 was pretty low scoring so we’ll be hoping for more goals for the next set of fixtures, which kick off on Saturday.

FANTASY LEAGUE STANDINGS

Colmans Mustard extended his lead in the Fantasy Football Scout League to 15 points after a respectable score of 68 points this gameweek.

In the H2H league Dutch Warriors got another win and remains on top with 11 victories and 2 losses.

STOCK CHECKS

Rising

Amin Nouri (5.6, Brann, defender)

He’s continuing his amazing form recently. Over his last six matches he has scored once, assisted four, kept three clean sheets and picked up six bonus points from his right back berth. He’s now scored eight points less than Rolantsson. Be wary though, Nouri is without a contract at the end of the season and has refused to sign a new one. There’s a chance he’ll leave Brann in the summer.

Abdoulaye Seck (4.7, Sandefjord, defender)

This man never stops impressing. Another 15 point haul this Gameweek, on the back of a goal and clean sheet, propels him to third in the total points table. Who would expect that from a 4.0 priced centre back at the start of the season?

Aleksander Megalvis (4.3, Lillestrøm, defender)

Mentioned as a differential ahead of this Gameweek, he delivered a goal, a shut out and maximum bonus points. This followed two assists in his previous two run outs, in which he has proved an excellent out of position prospect, playing on the right side of midfield. But, with Knudtzon suspended next gameweek there could be a major re-shuffle in the lineups if a striker impresses in the abscent of Knudtzon up front.

Fredrik Knudsen (5.0, Haugesund, defender)

I could have picked any of the Haugesund defenders after three consecutive clean sheets. They are very much on form and shut Rosenborg out this Gameweek. Knudsen has picked up bonus points in three of the last five Gameweeks  which makes him the stand out option, although Stølås (5.4) and Haraldseid (4.9) are also good picks, especially as both are on set pieces. Bråtveit in goal is another option.

Haris Hajradinovic (7.2, Haugesund, midfielder)

This is a very interesting one. Before the season I thought he would be a good pick, but for much of the campaign he’s been anonymous. That all changed in the last two games when Haugesund changed formation, with Hajradinovic scoring once and assisting another in a new role behind a lone striker. In one of these games, against Rosenborg, he racked up a remarkable eight shots. Last season’s tally of four goals and seven assists did indicate he can prosper when afforded the opportunity and it looks like he is finally doing that this season. If he can continue to be fielded in this advanced role he looks an excellent acquisition for your squad.

Daniel Braaten (7.0, Brann, midfielder)

Coming back from a one game suspension, he provided a goal and an assist as well as maximum bonus points. He has now picked up 16 bonus points so far this season, more than any other player. He’s getting hard to ignore.

Björn Sigurdarson (9.8, Molde, forward)

Sigurdarson scored in his third consecutive home game. Do we now have a reliable captaincy option when at home? With home games against Viking and Strømsgodset coming up I certainly would consider bringing him in soon. One of the top scoring players in the game and one of the few premium priced players actually delivering points.

Falling

Erling Knudtzon (8.1, Lillestrøm, midfielder)

Knudtzon let down a couple of thousand new owners in the home game against Viking. He did hit the post, but he also (wrongly) got a yellow card which means he’s now suspended for next gameweek.

Jeppe Moe (4.2, Stabæk, defender)

Stabæk has shown over the last couple of gGmeweeks that they’re not a top team, but more like the team we expected them to be. They have conceded 12 goals over the last three games. Moe picked up his third yellow of the season and is now suspended for the home fixture against Kristiansund.

Birger Meling (6.3, Rosenborg, defender) and all Rosenborg players

Rosenborg again failed to play well and keep a clean sheet. They have only kept one clean sheet over the last eight Gameweeks, way less than expected. On the top of that Meling managed to get sent off. To be honest, I  could have put every Rosenborg player on this list.

Anders Trondsen (7.6, Sarpsborg, midfielder)

The most owned midfielder in the game left after 39 minutes with an injury. After he finally produced some points over the last few Gameweeks, this isn’t good news to owners.

Mos (9.0, Aalesund, forward)

After looking like the only reliable player in this game, he has now blanked three Gameweeks in a row. With though fixtures coming up, is it now time to look elsewhere?

DIFFERENTIALS FOR GAMEWEEK 14

Daniel Fredheim Holm (6.3, Vålerenga, midfielder)

He’s been showing good form recently. He’s now started three consecutive games as a right winger, after starting the season injured. He’s picked up two assists and four bonus points over those three games. I’d back him to do well in a home fixture against Lillestrøm. Vålerenga will be boosted by the return of Zahid from injury as well.

Luc Kassi (6.0, Stabæk, midfielder)

A key man for Stabæk is returning from suspension. Prior to this enforced break he had picked up a goal and an assist in two games. I expect Stabæk to get a win again in a home fixture against Kristiansund, and I expect Kassi to be involved in Stabæk’s goals.

Mikael Ingebrigtsen (5.8, Tromsø, midfielder)

Tromsø is in pretty poor form these days, but they have a good chance of turning it around at home against Sandefjord. Ingebrigtsen started up front for Tromsø against Molde and has been looking very dangerous lately. He hit the bar twice in the previous two games and has scored three times in the last five.

Vilhjalmsson, Borven, Veldwijk, Orlov have the highest combined xG + xA per 90 minutes in the league so far. But I can't get any of them because one is not nailed on, two is rotating with each other and the other will leave his team. Frustrating.

I have Jevtovic - Knudtzon - Sigurdarson - Haugen - Morer Vicente in my midfield. Ohi - Mos - Sigurd Arson upfront. Looks good enough to me for a couple of weeks. I will give Ohi one or two more weeks. Knudtzon the same.

    Any pressing concerns for me?

Proposed team if he is fit and all comments welcome please.

Dyngeland (home rotation but Hansen away at KBK is tempting ?)
Rolantsson Melgavis Seck ( all at home reasonable fixtures)
    Svendson Jevtovic Helland Brochmann
    OmoiJuanfo Mortensen Sigurdarson (K)

    Hansen Holm Rosted (Grogaard Injured)

Could have done with an extra transfer this week with injuries to Grogaard and Svendson, Barmen non playing last week was a blow.

Haugen at 10.0 is good for my wild card team but I can not do Brochmann for Haugen as only 0.3 ITB. Team value is looking OK ish at 105.4. Rosenborg mids have good value but will be keeping them for the good run of games they have coming up.

Not enough time for an article and only phone available. Here's a short gameweek 15 preview

Rising: Velwijk (Aalesund), Stokke (Kristiansund), Mendy (Kristiansund), Megalvis (Lillestrøm), Zahid (Vålerenga), Sigurdarson (Tronsø), Andersen (Strømsgodset), Jevtovic (Rosenborg), Helland (Rosenborg), Leceijewski (Brann), Gyasi (Aalesund)

Fallers: Ohi and other Stabæk players, Knudtzon, Svendsen, Midtsjø, Grøgaard, Mortensen

Tromsø, Odd, Haugesund and Vålerenga are all blanking in GW16.

Rosenborg play CL qualifiers midweek between GW16 and GW17 and midweek after GW17. Rotation possible in GW16 and GW17.

Veldwijk's loan are expiring after the next 3 gameweeks and not likely to be extended. Jevtovic's loan expiring at the end of August, but Rosenborg are working to either buy him or extend the loan.

Suspensions: Gregersen (Molde), Hestad (Molde), Ernemann (Viking), Semb Berge (Odd), Jradi (Strømsgodset), Rena Olsen (Stabæk) and Pedersen (Strømsgodset).

Differentials: Hajradinovic (Haugesund), Olsen Solberg (Sandefjord) and Ramsland (Sogndal)

Krepin Diatta could also be mentioned amongst the risers. He was incredibly impressive in the second half against Brann, going up against the best right back in the league. He's been an expected comet, but his involvement in the U-20 AFCON and U-20 WC made it difficult for him to establish himself as a starter. He left the latter tournament with an injury that he has recently recovered from.

Considered him as a differential, but dropped him due to a poor fixture. Could have been included under risers. Definitely one to watch.

Tempted to bench either A. Sigurdarson (Haugesund away), Adegbenro (Molde away) or Omoijuanfo (Sandefjord away) for Seck (Stabæk home). Thoughts?

Will most likely save FT as I can't afford Adegbenro>Jevtovic (and Adegbenro is doing well). Tempted to sell Ohi as well, but I think I'll keep him due to lack of other reliable alternatives (can't afford Mos or Moa).

I would try to play Seck for sure, but not sure who you should bench instead... Even if Ohi hasn't performed these last GWs, it's scary to bench an attacker (especially a highly owned one).

    2. Ramboros
      • 15 Years

I think I would play both Sigurdarson and Seck. Haugesund looked poor defending against wingers versus Viking. Both Sale and Adegbenro played great that game. I'm expecting a lot of the same from Sigurdarson. We can also expect Haugesund to be fatigued after their EL qualifier.

Seck is an obvious choice for me. Stabæk are terrible defending set pieces. They are also in poor form. This smells like a potential 15 pointer from Seck.

Adegbenro - Ohi is a though call. In FPL I rarely want to use players against each other. Eliteserien is a lot more 50/50, so I'm usually fine with it. Sandefjord has only conceded in 5 of their 6 games at home with 11 men. 3 of their 6 goals were conceded against Rosenborg while they were down to 10 men. Stabæk has only scored 6 goals in 6 games, with Ohi scoring twice.

Adegbenro's strength is his ability to take bonus points despite his poor team. 13 bonus in 10 games is a lot. Knudtzon and Occean have previously gotten 2 bonus points each despite not being involved in goals while losing to Molde. Matthews and Kassi also accrued 4 points while losing against Molde. Vicente, Andersen, Jradi and Abdi got 7 points while drawing against Molde. That's 15 bonus points in 8 games where Molde didn't lose the game. Adegbenro should be a bonus contender even if Molde wins the game comfortably.

Thanks. Haugesund have kept a CS in four of the last five home games though and in half of their games in total. Tromsø aren't a great team, but Sigurdarson are their standout player for sure. Fair point about EL for Haugesund. At least they aren't travelling.

Fair point in Adegbenro as well. That's why I love him in this game. He's got bonus points two times without actually getting attacking returns.

Stabæk and Ohi in poor form, but he's still producing chances and good ownership. Scared of benching him.

        Not getting any wiser really.

    3. MTPockets

Agree with Ramboros that between Adegbenro & Ohi.
Don't have Adegbenro but fwiw I'm benching Ohi to play A.Sigurdarson (and Seck, although benching Hedenstad there for 3-5-2).

    Wildcard activated, first draft;

Dyngeland - Fernandes (will of course get rid)
    Rolantsson - Rosted - Seck - Reginiussen - Nouri
    Zahid - Södlund - Haugen - Andersen - Jevtovic
    Ohi - Mortensen - Sigurdarson

    0,2 itb

Södlund is more or less a placeholder, since I didn't have any more money to spend. And after reading the posts in this article about Zahid having difficult fixture and a blank after that, I might get rid of him and use the money elsewhere.
Any thoughts or suggestions on how to improve my WC? 🙂

I would probably go Kristiansen - Jonsson as a GK rotation. They rotate perfectly at home, and they have conceded 12 goals in 14 home games. 7 of those games they've gotten CS. Neither teams face Rosenborg, Sarpsborg, Odd or Molde at home.

      1. FPL Puppy

        Interesting...
But only 4 CS for Kristiansen so far (not that Dyngeland is any better in CSs). Do we expect them to tighten up?
Only problem I can see with that GK combo is that I will have two defensive players from S08 (Kristiansen and Rosted) and two from Sandefjord (Jonsson and Seck). If I were to rotate them at home, it would also mean that I would probably play the home defender too.

With that in mind, would you still recommend that the GK combo is a good pick?

After the Rosenborg match the coach went out and said they would focus on tightening up things. Since then they've conceded 5 goals in 8 matches. If anything they were unlucky to not get CS against Brann and LSK as well.

I wouldn't worry about doubling up on S08 defense at home. That's a sign of strength if anything. You have four 5.5+ defenders. You can always bench Seck if the fixture is difficult.

      My first draft is:

      (0.8 itb)

      Hansen
      Rolantsson/Skjerve/Seck
      Helland/Haugen/Jevtovic/Andersen/Braaten
      Sigurdarson/Mos

      Bench: McDermott, Megalvis, Steiring, Stokke

      What do you think?

      1. FPL Puppy
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

Which players did you have pre-WC and which players are WC?

        I think;
        - Hansen is too expensive for a GK i think, maybe downgrade him to a 5.0-ish GK and change one of your defenders to a Rosenborg-defender? Although, you might argue that he's the cheapest way in to Rosenborg defence and he also gets points for saves... unless Johan Bjorndal is nailed?
        - No questions regarding Rolantsson and Seck, two best defenders at the moment. 🙂
        - Don't know much about Skjerve, but he looks good (and I also put him on my watchlist after I've looked at him now).
        - I might be the minority here, but I don't get the hype with Helland tbh. He's too expensive, injury prone and doesn't produce enough to justify his price. 6p in GW 7, then injured(?) in GW8, 1p,2p,2p,2p,2p until he finally produced a good GW score (14p). I know there's a lot of inconsistency in this game (many players blanks a couple of GWs in a row), but for his price - you should expect more. I would downgrade and use the money elsewhere. Also, you have Jevtovic who's currently producing better and 2,6 cheaper (on current prices).
        - Haugen, Jevtovic, Andersen and Braaten are all good/excellent choices.
        - Siguardson - the only attacker that's currently consistent and producing points almost every week. What's not to like!
        - Mos is a good choice. Don't know about his upcoming fixtures though, but he should do quite well either way.
        - McDermott, I guess you bought him at 4.0(?) and intend to keep him on the bench (unless you're forced to play him). So he's good enough. 🙂
        - Don't know anything about Melgalvis, but based on his history (after returning from injury I guess?), he looks like a good defender at the 4.0-4.5 price bracket. He's also producing assists and goals, but lack of CSs might be a concern.
        - Steiring, looks like a good bench defender (and I suspect that's the reason you chose him?).
        - Stokke looks on fire at the moment, and at that price he looks like a bargain. Don't know much about him or the team though, check the fixtures and see if it's looks promising.

Also, be aware of blanks and players that might be fatigue from cups or rested for cups.

Sorry for the long post, and unfortunately I don't have a potato to spare.

Stokke is actually one of mine closest friends so believe in him 🙂

Helland can explode anytime and is near essential IMO with that fixture ahead and easily to downgrade to Zahid.

Magalvis plays as a winger now

I bought McDermott at 4.0 so I'm keeping

          Steiring bench fodder

        😆

        Well, to be fair - I haven't spend that much money on my defence, since three of them were in my team pre-WC;

        Rolantsson - Bought for 6.5, currently 7.1
        Rosted - Bought for 5.6, currently 6.1
        Seck - Bough for 4.3, currently 4.9

And, looking at my team now, I seem to have brought in Reginiussen and Nouri before they went up 0.1 each. 😎

Also, defenders in this game is so far basically equal in points if you look at Points Total for defenders/midfielders/attackers.

        Top 3 defenders:
        Rolantsson - 78p
        Seck - 75p
        Nouri/Grogaard - 69p

        Top 3 midfielders:
        Haugen - 81p
        Brochmann - 75p
        Zahid - 72p

        Top 3 attackers:
        Sigurdarson - 76p
        Omoijuanfo - 71p
        Mos - 69p

Please help - huge benching dilemma this week. My squad is:

    Dyngeland | Sandberg
    Ruud | Róllantsson | Hedenstad | Seck | Ryerson
    Haugen | Jevtovic | Andersen | Koomson | Sødlund

I should beat him by 10 points or more unless Bentner scores big and BB Siggi fails for me.

Help me out, have I got the bench and Capt/VC right here?:

    Liciejewski
    Hedenstad-Stølås-Seck
    Braaten-Midtsjø-Storbaek-Zachariassen
    Mortensen-Bendtner(VC)-B Sigurdarson(C)

    Kongshavn- Rolantsson-Riku Riski-Moe

I've already used my subs this round, this was much worse before, so no more subs, just bench/captainsy.

    1. MTPockets
      9 years, 1 month ago

I'd start Riski & Rolantsson over Zachariassen & Hedenstad.
BBS will be my captain. Vice I'd probably pick Braaten or Riski.

Totally forgot to mention that Odd and Haugesund played Europa League qualifiers today. Haugesund started with a strong side and won 7-0. Bruno Leite and Bråtveit was rested. Odd also started with a fairly strong side, but rested Rossbach, Nordkvelle, Zekhnini and Riski. Don't think there will be much rotation on Sunday, but there could be some.

One to watch over the next few weeks is Sigurd Haugen from Odd. 19 years old 4.7 forward. He scored a nice goal in the EL qualifier. He has 10 goals in 10 games this season in the third tier. He might get his first start against Sarpsborg.

First time in eliteserien I'm playing five at the back, hoping not to have a fifth captain fail in a row against a dead team who (at 30k) is still higher ranked than me....

    Lie (McDermott)
Nouri, Rolantsson, Seck, Hedenstad, Kind Mikalsen:
    Haugen, Brochmann, (Knudtzon, Trondsen, Adegbenro);
    Sigurdarson (k), Ohi, Mos

Read a piece about Mos. He has six months left of his contract and if he doesn't extended it Aalesund might sell him in the summer. Don't underestimate the power of going into the summer break with 2FT.

I would prefer to use it later in the season, but it's possible an early second wildcard will give you a massive advantage.

        1. Ramboros
          • 15 Years
          9 years, 1 month ago

It depends a lot on how strong Rosenborg are. I'm expecting the last blank of the season to be Rosenborg - Haugesund in GW20, so a GW21 WC could be good. That's also a 3 week break because of NM and international matches.

  26. MTPockets

Start Ohi (san) or Mortensen (odd)?
Neither very appealing but thinking Ohi.

Alternative is FT to to max 8.5m fwd (Vilhjálmsson if he'll start, Orlov)?

How sure are we of this deadline?

A Google Translate of the rule gives "Using wildcard, you can make as many transitions as you like in a round. During the season there are two wildcards available, one between rounds 2 and 17, and the second after the summer break, between rounds 18 and 30."

No specific cut-off time is given, although it does seem that the GW17 deadline is the most logical point.

I'll be activating mine later today (for GW16), not because I'm scared of losing it, but because I have Ruud and Shuaibu blanking, a possibly still injured Svendsen, whatever other bans I pick up today, and almost all of my team will be playing away, So it seems as good a time as any for my situation.

On a side note, I noticed Valerenga - Haugesund is officially down for GW25, so we have our first confirmed DGW. Sorry if this has been posted already.
