Two Gameweeks down and already the dilemmas are building; the siren song of the Wildcard button is calling.

Failing big hitters are the major bone of contention as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me for the second ScoutCast of the season.

We give our verdicts on Spurs talisman Harry Kane, while also assessing the fall-out from Manchester City and, in particular, the shot-shy Kevin De Bruyne.

Driven by another round of community questions, we also chew over The Pogba vs Mkhitaryan debate and the big Bournemouth bail out, before previewing Gameweek 3.

Oh, and after his ten point return on the Aaron Mooy investment, we wrestle to prevent Jonty dropping his name into the conversation at every opportunity. I think I counted two. That’s a win for everyone involved.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Hegazi too risky?

    Davies or Trippier?

      What's risky about Hegazi?

      Trippier injured

No, there are several scenarios in which he keeps his starting spot.

      Trippier.

Always will be a risk with McCauley coming back. Trippier for me until Rose situation is abundantly clear (you could say it already is).

It's tempting to bank the FT for after the international break but I'm worried about JWP starting seeing as he played 90 mins midweek.

Feeling the need to make some changes. What do you think?

I have 2 FT and 0 in bank so was thinking of KDB, Zaha and Rodriguez to Erikson, Phillips/Mooy or Richarlson and Chicharito?

    Current team:
    De Gea (Elliott)
    Bertrand Danilo Suttner (Daniels) (Long)
    KDB Salah Gross Carroll (Zaha)
    Lukaku Kane Rodriguez

Rodriguez should do well this week. How about KDB > Eriksen and Zaha > Antonio/Ramsey?

Might even want to take a -4, you don't want Gross either.

Rodriguez was a bit of a punt. I thought it would go 50/50 with him. He has looked quite sharp but produced no goals so far.

Yes but we haven't got a clue when or if Rose is back either. Definitely Bavies better shout at this stage though

Why do you say that though? Remember how Trippier had been playing?

        1. La Roja
          • 14 Years
          9 years, 23 days ago

I'm saying this based what I've seen ever since Rose got injured. Bavies has been superb, made a great start to this season too.

I don't know if you watched the game but when Alonso scored the second one Poch was livid to Trippier. Also, apparently Aurier transfer is immient.

For me, if we are keep getting similar news about Rose then Bavies is far better shout than Tripper. Rose may even be sold after all his idiotic outburst anyway.

screaming to Tripper trust me. He left his space empty one on one for Lloris.

Trippier without doubt great shout but if they buy Aurier then no for me.

Also Bavies is more of a goal threat than him. Tripper has assists in him though.

Essentially this will depend what Spurs do next one week and Rose situation.

Cheers, I'm honestly considering Stephens > Davies for a hit 1) I hate seeing double SOU in my backline and 2) that new signing, I'm afraid, is going to push him out.

Posted this a bit ago, does this turn you off (K)ane?

Despite owning Kane, I think am going to go Lukaku (C) for these reasons:

    - Lukaku has 5 goals in 7 against Leicester, compared to Kane's 2 goals in 5 against Burnley
    - Last season result (Burnley don't get blown out):
    MU vs Leicester 4-1
    Leicester vs MU 0-3
    Spurs vs Burnley 2-1
    Burnley vs Spurs 0-2
    - Despite Kane's stats, the one stat that's hard to ignore is 3 in 2 from Lukaku
    - I'm starting to believe Kane's August Kurse is real

    C- Rooney to Firmino
D- Keep the 1.0 this week and best choice from above next week
    E- Addl 4.5 defender and 2nd 4.5 goalkeeper ( currently Elliot is 2nd )

I would keep the 1.0 if you like your team right now. Int'l break will throw some spanners in the works and it'll be very nice to be flexible.

Gotta get even the idea of KDB > Eriksen for a hit. It's wishful thinking at best. very unlikely eriksen scores 4 more, let alone as much maybe.

G2G? Who would you captain out of that lot, Kaku surely? What about the subs - chalobah for Caroll a good idea?

    Foster

    Jones Bertrand Hunemeir
    Mane Pogba Ritchie Chalobah
    Jesus Kane Kaku(c)

    Elliot Caroll Daniels Mee

50/50 between Kane and Kaku, Kane has very good underlying stats. Chalobah over Carroll, yes. He looked quite good last game.

What's happened with KDB then? Pre season he was absolutely tearing it up in the same formation, definitely giving him one more chance but he's on the chopping block if he blanks again

he got 20 assists and 6 goals from the same position last season and now two games means he no longer priced well?

the only thing i can say is maybe kdb affected by two playing upfront which is different from last seasob but othwerwise kdb to eriksen is jsut sideways

Thoughts on Lössl as a 4.5 GK option? Loves BAPs, plays in a team that look quite solid, good fixtures and gets a bunch of saves. Differential too 😉

I know it's probably the same as most other WC teams but is there anything I'm missing here?

    Foster Elliot
    Jones Hegazi Alonso Mee Mbemba

    Eriksen Mhki Ramsey Richarlison Carroll

    Lukaku Kane Chicarito

Is Eriksen the best bet at 9.5 or would a Liverpool mid be better if I have Kane up top?

    Thanks.
