The second instalment to Sunday’s slice of Premier League action brings Gameweek 3 to a close with matches at Anfield and Wembley Stadium.

The attention of Fantasy managers will be pulled in different directions, with key assets on show in both contests.

After the “failings” of Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Sergio Aguero on Saturday, we now look to see if Harry Kane can step up.

Kane is backed 741,000+ (16.1%) ahead of the “home” encounter with Burnley as he bids to end a run of two single point returns and score his first competitive career goal in August.

Should he succeed, it would doubtless have a major impact on rankings and transfer activity over the international break.

Equally, events at Anfield could have a major effect on our thinking leading up to Gameweek 4.

Liverpool boast an array of attacking talent, including the electric Sadio Mane, who lines up in tandem with the in-form Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah.

But Arsenal have their own riches on show, with all eyes on the performance of Alexis Sanchez.

He returns to the Gunners’ line-up as Alexandre Lacazette suprisingly drops to the bench as Danny Welbeck leads the attack in a Arsenal’s 3-4-2-1.

Like Kane, should Sanchez convince and return points this afternoon, the impact on the FPL market would be substantial.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If he wants to hang around then it's hard to argue against that, but he really doesn't seem to be missed at all. Can and Wijnaldum have been fantastic. Can in particular looks like he could go right to the top - if he keeps improving he could be bossing games week in, week out.

They said that about Keegan's Newcastle and bad defending cost them in the end.

Man Utd look far more likely title winners but it's early days.

      1. F4L
        • 11 Years
        8 years, 8 months ago

yep. But they will always play offensively, i.e score more than the opposition. So having Firmino Salah Mane is a simple decision

        1. bojack
          • 9 Years
          8 years, 8 months ago

They scored three at Watford and came away with a point. That's what Keegan used to do when United were grinding out 1-0s and it's why he lost a 12 point lead.

You are literally living in a mindless bubble if you think ANY team can maintain scoring 4 goals a week. Even 3 is unheard of. An attacking triple of players from the same team who are likely to be rotated is just asking for trouble.

The players who I need to move out from my team:
    Dummett (injured and price dropped)
Hennessey (the 9 against Liverpool was a blip, Palace is all over the place)
Valencia (too much money stuck there)
Ritchie (price drop, could be upgraded)
Mounie (price drop, could be upgraded)

I have already used up 1 FT for bringing in Mane before the price change, and have 1.0m in the bank. Do you suggest a WC or fix it slowly over the weeks (price is a concern)?

Such snobbery about owning Kane. All of the scouts... ALL of them, said he was an obvious captain pick, that he's going to win the golden boot, and that he'll come good soon. Selling him was frowned upon and dismissed as a knee jerk. Let's see how many stick behind their words and keep him over the 2 week international break.

I'm annoyed by it, because to go without Kane was tantamount to being labelled a casual, to not know what you're doing. I've already seen comments such as, "let's see how many casuals sell Kane now". Perhaps the balanced response to Kane blanking the first couple of weeks should have been to consider selling then get him back in once he find his scoring boots?

I tend to tread my own path. I sold Lukaku for Kane(c) this week, for instance!

I just reject the condescending nature from some quarters that by going without Kane, means you're not a contender. What this game teaches us every year is that if you stand still, you get left behind. You have to adapt and follow form.

Yeah true, I'm inclined to still keep him tbh, but like yourself I'm waiting until I see the game later on tonight. My thinking was to keep him until the eve of GW9 when they play Liverpool and then Man United as the fixtures are still kind up until then, but then in past seasons that was easy to do but now he's £12.5m I'm not too sure my knee won't jerk along with the market...

I brought him in on a WC this week lol, selling Lukaku. I figured it would be a nice time to own him if he started scoring and didn't fancy captaining Lukaku in the next 2 (LEI, sto).

Kane will be going for Morata or Jesus, for me.

This Liverpool side with Keita will be something else.

Since it looks like a massive price drop incoming, Kane might have to go.

I also need Bobby F in my life

      Kane, Mounie -> Firmino, Morata a no-brainer?

      Ride those price hikes 😉
