Gameweek 4 gets underway with the showpiece fixture as Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

From a Fantasy perspective, the focus will clearly be on the attacking players.

City’s strikers head into the contest with impressive statistics to back them up. Sergio Aguero has scored in each of his five home meetings with Liverpool since arriving in the Premier League. As for Gabriel Jesus, he has been involved in 12 goals in his 11 starts, scoring eight and providing four assists.

But they will face a super confident Liverpool, boasting their own in-form “forward”. Roberto Firmino is the most bought asset over the international break, having found his way into 374,000+ squads since the Gameweek 3 deadline. The Brazilian has scored two goals and earned two assists in his four appearances against City.

Then we have the twin threats of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah – when they’ve started this season, they’ve scored, with five goals between them so far.

Salah is backed by over 238,000 new owners ahead of today’s encounter, only Henrikh Mkhitaryan (241,000+) saw more traffic among FPL midfielders since Gameweek 3.

        De jong actually showed a bit of intent but only got a yellow in world cup final, we need a rule

    Definite Red. Can't see how it's anything else. That's the risk you take if you think you can get the ball before the keeper. Anywhere else on the pitch, it's a straight red.

            If the challenge was made outside the box (anywhere on the pitch), then that would be a straight red. For example, if that was John Stones there, and Mane did the exact same thing....it would still be a red card.

      you can't challange for a ball with your foot that high end of, eyes were on the ball but he new the keeper was there otherwise there was no need to make contact with the ball so high.

    I don't know how people think how that isn't a red, clear as day, no malicious intent sure, but you can challenge for the ball with a high boot and studs up

    The risk to the other player is too high to allow that kind of challenge. "Soft red" - say it all you want, but it's necessary.

    Never a red. Ederson was outfield so had to use head otherwise he's off, that the only reason there was contact. I don't have Mane.
