Gameweek 4 gets underway with the showpiece fixture as Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

From a Fantasy perspective, the focus will clearly be on the attacking players.

City’s strikers head into the contest with impressive statistics to back them up. Sergio Aguero has scored in each of his five home meetings with Liverpool since arriving in the Premier League. As for Gabriel Jesus, he has been involved in 12 goals in his 11 starts, scoring eight and providing four assists.

But they will face a super confident Liverpool, boasting their own in-form “forward”. Roberto Firmino is the most bought asset over the international break, having found his way into 374,000+ squads since the Gameweek 3 deadline. The Brazilian has scored two goals and earned two assists in his four appearances against City.

Then we have the twin threats of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah – when they’ve started this season, they’ve scored, with five goals between them so far.

Salah is backed by over 238,000 new owners ahead of today’s encounter, only Henrikh Mkhitaryan (241,000+) saw more traffic among FPL midfielders since Gameweek 3.

    Happy with that rest for Jesus. Should mean he is more likely to start future games. 48pts is a good baps total. The loss of 1pt is a bit annoying...

    Still can't get my head around the Salah one. But with pool unlikely to score and we know he will get rotated it might be that it is a good time for it for us owners.

      They'll get their points. I don't have either. Got Firmino, but one swallow does not make a summer. Liverpool will have their good days and City will have bad days. FPL is more than a one GW game.

    Anyone else more bothered about the fact we've been robbed of a great game than anything to do with fantasy? I've been looking forward to this fixture all week and it's been a massive disappointment.
