Why do the scoutcast consider firmino in a lower striker bracket to Lukaku?
Weaker goal stats but stronger involvement stats. So far winning him more points. So why Lukaku OVER Firmino when £3m is buying you nothing, whereas 3m invested upon midfield buys significantly higher scores
Lukaku will outscore Firmino through out the season
Could prove correct. I think there's an over-attachment to Lukaku and/or Kane, considering their prices.
Would you also pick Welbeck over Lukaku? Lukaku will score more goals in the long run.
This really isn't an appropriate example for obvious reasons
I think Lukaku will score more points, Firmino wasn't explosive even as a midfielder last year (although he does now have penalty and improved BPS), but it's a big question about re-investing and I'm asking the exact same thing below. If I pick Firm over Lukaku I can have Eriksen instead of Ramsey.... But Lukaku has the ability to go big like few other players.
Lukaku will easily outscore Firmino over the season, just like last season.
Firmino is playing in the same position as last season, a false 9/playmaker. Even Salah has more goal threat than him. He's only been reclassified as a striker in FPL. Considering he'll be getting 1 point lesser for goals and no clean sheet points this year, but possibly with penalties all season (Liverpool scored 7 last season), unless he gets like twice the bonus points this year, he's going to finish with the same PPM as last year. There's nothing to suggest otherwise anyway, unless he plays much better this season.

In my opinion: Vardy and Eriksen are good value. The jury's out on Ramsey, and Lukaku may or may not be worth more than his price tag.
Thanks. I think Vardy is a great option potentially but he has burned me before. Firmino will probably drip in points but I don't really fancy him.

I may downgrade Laca to Vardy this week. Maybe get Mahrez instead/as well. Or I could just get Mendy and save again!
I much prefer Vardy to Firmino at the moment. Although if Milner is still disfavoured, I suppose that nailed penalty taking is a massive plus for Firmino
Yeah penalties are the main attraction for Firmino, but Vardy has pens and more goals I would suggest...
Does Vardy have pens? Set Pieces tab says Mahrez, but I'm not sure.

I think the threshold is adjusted to slower drop when player is injured. Plus the wildcard factor.
He was on +40% earlier, so I'm concerned at how quickly that is dropping

It's a real 50/50 call. I had Ali and switch to eriksen on wc this week so only 0.1 difference but bit nervous it's now Ali's turn to score! Eriksens stats are so good tho
