“This is how the ScoutCast was meant to be” exclaimed Granville.

He’s not wrong. If you’ve successfully avoided this brand of nonsense to this point, episode 232 provides a less than gentle introduction.

Just don’t expect me to take a beating every week.

That’s certainly what pans out over this lengthy landmark episode which finds me rolling the punches after my “ill-timed” Wildcard.

Granville and Jonty take turns to dish out the blows, while Andy and Az make uncomfortable spectators.

Once the scuffle dies down, we do our best to address the latest community questions, assessing strikers, mid-price midfielders and the latest wing-backs demanding our attention.

But, for once, that forms the undercard for the “big fight”.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Had this WC team for nearly 24 hours now.

    Elliot - Foster
    Lascelles - Mee - Davies - Jones - Dunk
    Salah - Eriksen - Mkhi - RLC - Gray
    Kane - Jesus - Rashford

    Pick it to pieces

      - Lascelles nailed? Clark and Lejeune first choice I believe.
      - Gray is a waste of funds. Either get someone nailed or go with a 4.5
      - Rashford is a good punt, but just get Vardy/Firmino with a 4.5 in midfield

Gray on brink of signing new contract so thinking start is on the cards.
        Made the swap for Clarke.
Can't see Rashford not starting on recent form and low ownership.
Struggling to find someone to switch Gray too as no money ITB

RLC a bit of a risk with new manager? Is Gray playing enough?

Mee is close to a price drop, I'd choose a different Burnley defender.

Personally I'd back Antonio over Mkhitarian at this point, bank the cash for future flexibility.

      Its ok.

You could probably shave £0.5m of the defence to help upgrade Gray. Also do Carroll over RLC as he isn't nailed on just yet.

Rashford is a gamble, he will always get game time so it could pay off but I think there are at least a couple of better options around that price...Hernandez and Chris Wood come to mind. Wood would allow for a 5th mid upgrade and to go back to the old school 5th mid / 3rd striker rotation!

Hmm, Stephens Yoshida Trippier Willian all now with doubts over playing time. Southampton poor attacking-wise. Solanke only sporadic minutes. De Bruyne playing deep and overpriced.

It's a wild card for me

    3. Eze Really?
      • 12 Years
      9 years, 3 days ago

      Ones you don't want
Stepens Yoshida Soton horrible and both rotation riskes
Tripper can lose his place to Aurier.
marriapa and Solanke a waste when rotation risks are big at this time.
Willian rotation and haz coming back
      Redmond a waste
      serious surgery needed

    4. MikeRyko
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 3 days ago

Don't feel a wildcard is necessary yet.

I would move on Redmond this week - probably for Ritchie and then take it from there. A lot of uncertainty in the defence and William but just review next week to see if you can sort with a further two transfers.

On a 442 you'll want either a more reliable or more attack minded defender than Dunk I feel. Consider Jones, Daniels, Dawson maybe.

Hardest choice and it will inevitably go wrong.
West Ham look a little better - but have been awful in some of their recent games at WBA, but they themselves are not solid.
Newcastle have back to back cleanies, more save/bps potential probably.

      I'm thinking Elliott.

I would certainly do Mkhi to Salah.

442 needs more reliable or better attacking defenders than Naughton and Jagielka. Maybe get Jones in and see if you can find an extra £0.5 to upgrade Naugton to someone like Daniels, Dawson or Maguire.

Carrol cheaper with set pieces. Will Fellaini play? How long is Pogba officially out for? Just seems like a transfer waiting to happen imo.
