The Gameweek begins with a Friday night clash under lights at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth host south coast rivals Brighton in what is already a vital match for the home side.

Eddie Howe’s Cherries are simply in dismal form. They have suffered four successive defeats and have just a single goal to their name – albeit a goal of the season contender from Fantasy favourite Charlie Daniels.

Impotent in attack, Howe’s defence have also allowed 30 shots on target, more than any other side.

Such statistics will give Chris Hughton’s Brighton plenty of confidence heading into the contest, having sealed their first ever Premier League victory in Gameweek 3 with a 3-1 win over West Brom.

Pascal Gross inspired that performance with an 18-point haul made up of two goals and an assist. Fantasy managers will be fixed on his display in the number ten role tonight as the main point of interest.

Indeed, the match provides a sedate introduction to Gameweek 5, with few Fantasy assets on show.

The aforementioned Daniels is the top owned player in action. Still part of 12.7% of squads, the left-back has been sold by more than 222,000 managers over the last three Gameweeks.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Has anyone noticed on the ticker that CTY come behind the BRI/HUD/BOU next week?

A home banker v CPL as well. Who'd have thunk it.

The ticker doesn't rate the City defence as highly for that game compared to the attack. I guess they haven't updated the values much since the start of the season to adjust for the new reality.

    Would you wildcard this lot?
    De gea, Elliot
    Bertrand Dawson Daniels lascelles 3.9m
    Eriksen salah Phillips Carroll Romeu
    Kane lukaku chicharito?

    Presently sitting around 2m mark.

Chicharito, Phillips, Daniels, Dawson all stinking up the place.
Bertrand not worth 500k over Cedric.
De gea probably not worth 5.5m.

Or would you just do chicharito to vardy or Daniels to kolasinac this gw and hold the fort? I have 1.8m in the bank.

      Hmmm...this is an interesting one.

Gks: DDG needs to be Foster

The D: I wouldn't have 4/5 of those Ds. Keep Lascelles.

Milfs: Phillips and Romeu need booting.

Fwds: nothing much wrong here although Chico makes no appeal.

I have it that 8 of your team could be improved so I would advise a WC. Good luck! 🙂

Thanks. I think it's time for the wc. Too many little problems to fix. I'll wait till the games are done tomorrow though, a chicharito brace or a Dawson header from a Phillips corner will change everything.

Why would that change everything! If you consider the players/teams are not performing well enough, then a one week wonder should not make any difference if considering a WC.....In my opinion anyway. I have no problem with early WC are have more games to benefit from the improvement and we have enough stats and info to hopefully make a decent stab at one.

I say GO FOR IT and enjoy .

I watched the WAT/LIV game and I thought neither defence made much appeal tbh.

However since then, It is obvious that the manager has got a hold of them and improved them at the back. I'd wait till WAT fixtures improve again.

CTY look like they will score goals all over the park so it is hard to see a cs.

I wouldnt even take that into account. Liverpool can score multiple times regardless of strength of defence. Watford have been tight 3 games in a row. Expect that to be the norm. My guess city win 2-1

I'm reluctant to drop Bertrand with those fixtures.

A few doubts regarding Kola at the minute for me so will give him a few more games to convince me he's nailed.

For now Bertrand has the fixtures and same potential for half a mil less so don't see the need to boot him just yet because a few people are going mad for Kola.

I've had him since GW2 (replacement for Zaha)

He won't return every week but he'll pop up with the odd goal and assist. He is fairly attacking. Happy to hold for now.

What's people's thoughts on Leciester? The more I see of them, and given favourable fixtures, I'm getting th impression they are really starting to show promise and signs of the league winning side. Both Vardy & Mahrez looking back to their best and in Maguire they have a top full back. Could this be the time to get on board? Discuss.

    1. Sulk
      • 16 Years

I do really like a couple of their picks but I don't think they're going to score many goals consistently to warrant their price tag (Mahrez and Vardy) imo.

I doubt they'll win the league again, but they look better this year. They're on my radar for GW7 onward.

      P.S. Maguire is a centre back. 🙂

I brought in Mahrez this week as a nice differential. Hopefully delivers. They have got their bad fixtures mostly out the way early.

Vardy looks a great pick... Maguire also & Simpson is easy on the budget. Not a Mahrez fan as he lost penalties to Vardy a long time ago. If Mahrez was 7.5 or 7.0 would be more interested

Ali>kdb is best bet but you need to find more money.

I don't think a city attacker is essential. Points will be shared about. Downgrade Ali to silva could be good as it gives you more money but silva was very deep against Liverpool and didn't score any attacking points in 5 goals.....

Roll to 2 transfers, then hopefully it's a case of just small tinkering. I have very similar and have 2 ft this week, watching Foster's form closely with an eye on Gomes; Jones may get dropped soon as rojo is getting closer to a return.

      Nice team
