The ScoutCast – Episode 235 – Swingers

Careering out of the international break at speed, the ScoutCast returns in anticipation of a turning point in our seasons.

We’ve been chattering for several weeks on the much anticipated “fixture swing”, and now we’re all set to put ourselves at its mercy.

What does it mean for our Fantasy line-ups?

In truth, with multiple transfers and Wildcards at our disposal, Jonty, Andy, Luke and myself started this latest episode still seeking our own answers. Over almost 90 minutes and with your community questions providing the steer, we do our best to reach some conclusions.

We weigh up Manchester United exit plans, Liverpool’s blunted attack and Jamie Vardy’s recuperation techniques, before previewing Gameweek 8 in the usual hap-hazard style.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    I don't know what to do with my team. Everything seems to be ok, but 2 FT and 1.4 itb makes me want to do something.

    Elliott
    Alonso Bertrand Davies Stones
    Alli Salah Mooy
    Kane Lukaku Abraham

    subs: Foster Carroll Romeu Hünemeier

    GTG? Too little man city cover?

      Are these 3 transfers worth a -4p hit?

      Alli -> Sterling
      Abraham -> Vardy
      Bertrand -> Cedric

      I'm 0.2 short of being able to do only the first two.

    Two weeks' of tinkering has come down to this. How does this look for a WC team?

    Fabianski / Elliot
    Luiz / Bavies / Jones / Cedric / Mbemba
    Salah / Silva / Sterling / Carroll / RLC
    Kane / Jesus / Vardy
    0.3 ITB

    It is very City heavy but with their next couple of fixtures I thought it was a risk worth taking.

    Need someone's help on Telegraph fantasy football.

    If I have Lukaku playing at 12:30, and then transfer him out to Kane minutes before spurs kick off at 15:00, will I get both players points?

    I know this works if you transfer a player out that plays on the Saturday for a player that plays on the Sunday, but didn't know if it worked on the same day.

      You can transfer players out the same day and get points for both so in the example of luk to kane yes ( wait till spurs team published then do tfr just in case , the stipulation is that there is 2 hours between games

      this 2 hour gap is only really is a problem when there a 3 or 4 games on a sunday, that all make sense?

              normally the CBs are Ota and Stones if they play 4 at the back. Danilo, Walker, Mangala, can fill in if they play 3 at the back. But think it will be 4 at the back for the foreseeable future
