After Arsenal swept aside Everton at Goodison Park, we turn our attentions to Wembley Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool bring the curtain down on Gameweek 9.

All eyes are on Harry Kane, who is still seeking his first league goal at Spurs’ temporary home.

Despite that record, he is second only to Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Gameweek 9 captaincy – 18.4% of FPL managers have handed him the armband.

Given that only two of the top 10 captains have scored so far, a haul from Kane could have a major impact on the overall standings.

Elsewhere for the hosts, Ben Davies is passed fit to return but surprisingly has to settle for a spot on the bench along with Danny Rose.

Sold by over 195,000+ FPL managers last week, the Welshman has started just two of the last five Gameweeks and next faces a weekend trip to Old Trafford.

For the visitors, Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino have the chance to play their way into our plans as the fixtures turn in Liverpool’s favour from Gameweek 10.

And James Milner – listed as a defender in FPL – could also be one to watch as an out of position option, with Jurgen Klopp naming him in midfield this afternoon.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

        Would agree with this.

Think a Burnley defender has just as much clean sheet potential (or more) as Chelsea until Kante returns.

I think it's time for FPL to evolve to match the way squad utilisation is so prevalent in the Premier League. Granted, the Premier League has always been a 'squad game' to some extent but modern management dictates that managers employ more reactive strategies in team selection which demands the full utilisation of a club's roster.

How could FPL change to account for the heavy rotation in the game now? I'd suggest player values being lowered to enable a 'better 15' team - where you don't have to have 'bargain' players who will come in with 2 points more than often than not. Perhaps an option to put a weekly chip on ONE player you feel might get rotated and have someone come in for him instead of getting 1 point should he come on.

Just spitballing here. With Pep and now Poch making a mockery of FPL (and they're not the first obviously), it seems FPL needs to get with the times?

I think this is a wise assessment. It's almost becoming ridiculous now with the rotation implications. At the least, your thoughts should be considered by the FPL authorities.

The easiest argument against that idea involves just look at fpl topscorers. eg. 4 mci mids in top 6, rotated or otherwise.

4 subs is already enough , you just need a strong 11 and nailed fodder on the bench and your gtg , the Sky game you get no subs so if a player is out you're screwed

Awful idea, only 4 teams in CL and 2 in UC. It only affects the teams for 6 gws and the additional knockout games. For 30 gws we would have an easy ride

This is not meant to be an endorsement for Fantasy Major League Soccer, but I like how you can sub players in or out up to their respective kickoff times. Gives a chance to see lineups so you can at least cover your bases. Just makes it more fun when you don't have to deal with surprise benchings hampering your team and score.

The cream rises to the top, there is enough information out there to make valued judgments on team selection. I would suggest it should be made harder and the VC removed so who ever comes off the bench for a non playing Captain gets the Captain status
