Welcome to another update of the Community Watch tournament. The fourth round of matches was played in GW 10,after which all  teams have  lost at least once and only Matagascar are winless.

Matchweek 4 Review

Full results can be found here.

Matchweek 4 brought about a dramatic turn of fortunes with eight of the bottom 10 teams winning their respective games.

Unbeaten until Matchweek 3, Mozambique, Belgium, Reussia and Fashanu Zealand were among the losing teams, leaving no team unconquered four Gameweeks into  the tournament.

Grabbangladesh recorded the biggest score of the week as they convincingly beat table toppers Mozambique 466 – 393.  Mozampique remain top of the table even after this loss.

Bolivia Giroud’s two point win over Kenyaya was the tightest of many close results.

Salahmon Islands secured the biggest win margin of the match week, beating Reussia by 80 points.

All these results had a major impact on the league table, with teams now closely placed to each other.

Mbokani Faso beat Blindia by 49pts.

Well played Blindia, you almost caught us with Silva's assist but Morata, Azpi and Richarlison saw us through.

Congrats MF. Needed more Salah captains in the Blindian ranks and we got killed on those last minute clean sheet busters on the saturday.

By my calculations Matagascar has its first win of the tournament by 381 to 323.

Want to give a special shout out to 32Chickens who posted a mighty score from the bench and it surely pushing for a start next matchweek!

How important is the manager? Far more important than I had imagined.
I looked at last week's results as an amusement because there is a lull this week and decided to see what was the best result acheivable with the players available and I discovered that in half the matches the manager's captain and bench had overturned the possible result.
May I compliment my manager for putting me on the bench. His picks turned the match for us.
Surprisingly, not once was the best player in the squad captained. The best player of a squad was benched 7 times.
The manager of Messidonia should be congratulated. Messidonia were only 11 points short of their maximum.

We will pass your greetings to him thank you.
We can't agree more about the importance of the captaincy and bench decisions. The 2 games we lost so far were largely due to a wrong captaincy pick by all of us
And the week Acekn1ght decided to step in and take responsibility of the armband it was a good decision and we won.

          Thanks all! 🙂

I can also confirm that our selection process this week involved picking a folded post-it note out at random out of a dirty mug.

I heard it on the grape vine that that is also how Arsene Wenger selects his team, and guess what- it works!

I recommend to all of my fellow managers that you also adopt this approach when selecting your team!

Three managers decided to warm the bench.
Cech Republic managed to extract 403 from a potential 423 whereas their opponents fell 77 points short of their maximum.
Is this equivalent to playing badly but still managing to win - the sign of champions?

The Ressians have described their victory as exactly that, a sign of championship contenders:

          http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2017/11/03/community-watch-matchweek-5/?hc_page=1#hc_comment_16903323

We were 49 points short of our maximum, yet out opponents, Afghanislanislas, were 62 short - with 5 points splitting the teams at the death. Playing our manager instead of me - as we very nearly did - would have cost us the win. But we held onto our heads and pulled out a winning performance in the end 🙂

Go straight from Messidonia. Take right at Bolivia Giroud. Once you reach Matagascar, turn left. You'll find Salahmon islands on the way but keep sailing. You'll find Ibeland.

Wait. Wut? Is it time to wake up? Looks like we're up against Kenyaya this week, and they can hardly organise a tournament in an FFS forum. And it looks like we've got some pretty strong teams this week, the lads have been keeping in good shape.
