Ryan Shawcross is a fresh injury concern as Stoke City prepare for the visit of Leicester to the bet365 stadium. Philippe Coutinho looks set to miss Liverpool’s trip to West Ham United, while Spurs have a series of issues at the back as Crystal Palace visit Wembley with Toby Alderweireld and Hugo Lloris set to miss out.

With this afternoon’s press conferences still to come, here’s the team news headlines collated so far.

Stoke skipper Ryan Shawcross will be assessed for the visit of Leicester after sustaining a thigh problem. Mark Hughes will again be without Geoff Cameron (concussion) but the Potters boss is optimistic that Bruno Martins Indi could return. Glen Johnson and Peter Crouch are both okay and expected to be in contention, though both are likely to named on the bench.

For the Foxes, Ben Chilwell is a slight doubt for the Potteries trip after suffering a knock to his knee during training earlier this week.

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner has revealed that Rajiv van La Parra is available for the home clash against West Bromwich Albion, with the midfielder recovering from a groin problem.

Oliver Burke is back in contention for the Baggies following a hamstring injury, but both Craig Dawson and James Morrison remain out.

Eddie Howe has revealed Junior Stanislas and Benik Afobe will both miss the trip to Newcastle United, while a late decision will be made on the fitness of Josh King as he contniues to struggle with a back problem.

Mario Lemina remains out for Southampton’s home meeting with Burnley due to an ankle injury, but Charlie Austin has recovered from a knock and is expected to be available – he’s again sent for a bench role.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche is optimistic that Chris Wood will be available for the trip to St Mary’s, with the forward back in training following a hamstring strain. Steven Defour is also expected to be cleared to play following a tight groin sustained in Monday’s win over Newcastle.

Paul Clement rates Wilfried Bony as “50/50” to be in the squad for the home encounter against Brighton & Hove Albion, with the striker back in training following a hamstring injury. Angel Rangel, Martin Olsson, Leon Britton and Renato Sanches are all sidelined.

Steve Sidwell is the only absentee for the Seagulls.

Slaven Bilic expects both Winston Reid and Aaron Cresswell to be fit for the home meeting with Liverpool, but Pablo Zabaleta is suspended, while Jose Fonte, Sam Byram, James Collins and Michail Antonio are all out.

Georginio Wijnaldum will probably miss the trip to the London Stadium due to an ankle injury, while Philippe Coutinho (groin) looks very likely to miss out once again. Dejan Lovren (groin) could be available, though he may struggle to oust Ragnar Klavan to earn a recall.

Spurs duo Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld look set to miss the home encounter against Crystal palace, with Mauricio Pochettino expected to provide confirmation in his press conference later today. Michel Vorm would come in between the sticks, while the Spurs boss may consider reverting to a back four for the Eagles visit. Danny Rose and Serge Aurier are expected to push for starts at full-back after they sat Wednesday’s win over Real Madrid.

Finally, Sead Kolasinac will undergo a late fitness test on a hip problem ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Manchester City. The Bosnian is expected to be in contention to be named at left wing-back in a largely unchanged Gunners side that saw off Swansea City last time out.

Pep Guardiola will give his conference later today, although we should not expect too many clues as to his starting XI. Some pointers on the likelihood of Sergio Aguero’s start – in light of his record-breaking strike in midweek – could be the most we can hope for.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section, along with our predicted line-ups, ahead of this tomorrow’s 11.30am deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from today’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

He's first choice hence playing against Real Madrid, but if you're Poch why not use the strength of your squad when you have another game a few days later?

Outside of the top 4 or 6, first choice players are nailed because they have less fixtures and their game time doesn't need to be managed. Perhaps they're rotated in the Carabao or FA cup.

First choice players in the top 4 or 6 clubs will be rotated around CL fixtures. That doesn't mean they're rotated regularly once the CL is out of the way.

Danny Rose has played ZERO minutes in the Prem and everyone is convinced that there is wingback rotation? Didn't Davies miss out through injury and then illness before? What am I missing?

I understand that Rose could play on Sunday, not saying he definitely won't, but isn't removing Davies now a bit premature?

if davies was injured he would not have been on the bench vs swansea. poch clearly tried to cover his mistake up as they played poorly down the left

against pool, he was passed fit and completed full training sessions, still benched

maybe he felt that he wasn't 100% in both cases, who knows - guess we'll find out soon enough anyway

yeah, I'm half expecting a benching but I certainly wouldn't be transferring him out before we know for sure - Rose could just be the Cup left-back for all we know

Rose was 1st choice before injury.

He has played 0 mins but that will change.

Davies has played 2 hard games.

Anyone who claims to know more than this is probably lying.

Poch has two great FB options on both sides. It wouldn't make sense to persist with the first choice FB when there are a lot of big games.

There's a good chance Aurier and Rose start v Palace, but that doesn't mean Trippier and Davies are not first choice going forwards.

What do to with this? Can only see something like Kolasinac + Lukaku > Daniles and Kane but feel I would want Lukaku back next GW. Still have WC

    Foster
    Kolasinac Jones Lascelles Yoshida
    Eriksen Silva Salah (C)
    Lukaku Vardy Jesus

    Elliot Carroll Puncheon Long

got stones in before reading the "I only score in the champions league warning. Good thing is otamendi is one yellow card away from suspension hence more likely to be replaced by kompany in the short run. All in all, stones will have to make way for David luiz or even his counterpart otamendi in the foreseeable future. My two cents.
