Gameweek 12 comes to its conclusion at the Amex Stadium this evening as Brighton entertain Stoke at 8pm.

For the hosts, Pascal Gross has been the standout asset in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Sitting in over 19% of FPL squads, the playmaker has averaged 7.2 points per match (ppm) in front of his own fans – when on the pitch, he’s played a part in 83% of their home goals.

Four strikes in the Seagulls’ last three league outings have brought Glenn Murray (5.8) onto our radars as a potential budget frontman – over 112,000 acquired him for Gameweek 12.

Up against a defence that has conceded at least twice in six of their last eight, Murray is the most captained player for tonight’s encounter, handed the armband by 6,868 managers compared with Gross’ 3,904 backers.

The Potters’ two most popular players, Eric Choupo-Moting (5.8%) and Xherdan Shaqiri (5.3%), have struggled on their travels, with just an away assist between them (for the latter) in five road trips.

Yet the duo’s home form means that, overall, they’ve still averaged a decent 4.0 and 4.5 ppm respectively this season. And clashes with Palace and Swansea in the next three could warrant further attention for the midfield pair.

Brighton, though, have been fairly resilient at home – league leaders Manchester City, in a 2-0 win in Gameweek 1, are the only side to have scored more than one goal away to Chris Hughton’s men.

Eriksen dropping in price must be a result in people wanting 3 big hitters. So as a result can not afford two bigish midfielders.

It's very kneejerky. I'm keeping as is very consistent and good run of fixtures

his expected assists arent as impressive as i'd like from a hub creative midfielder from a team like spurs

Nope, also because of Salah, Coutinho, Sane, Pogba now somehow being preferred over him...

Spurs have looked terrible, Kane seems to be carrying an injury, Eriksen playing deeper and sharing set pieces with the wing backs, 4 blanks in a row for Eriksen, plenty of mid options cheaper than his 9.5m that are actually scoring. Hazard is looking an option again too.

That is why he is being dropped. That said, I would probably hold for the WB game if I had him.

Don't think people are going 3 up top.

Sané, Salah, Cout, Haz, KdB, Sané, Sterling, Silva.. 3 of these in midfield means no room for Eriksen.. Enough heartache having Kane captain at the moment without having essentially a 3rd premium asset in a team struggling to score goals

You'd have to keep for the next game, but I can see why he's being sold. Salah, Coutinho, Sané, Sterling, KDB, Hazard are all currently better similarly priced options. Likewise Groß, Choupo and Richarlison to name a few on fire and consistent cheapies. Doesn't leave a lot of space for Eriksen on current form.

Not at all, the premium mids are delivering way more points on a more consistent basis for less money.

I dropped him for Sane 2wks ago to make up a midfeild of, Salah Sane Haz Choupo D.Silva - I'd have another if I had the space

  3. DROP IT LIKE IT'S HART
    • 13 Years
    8 years, 7 months ago

After a horrible 39 point GW, I had to activate my Wildcard and gone from:
    Foster Hart
    Trippier Mee Lascelles Jones Dunk
    Eriksen Gross Silva Doucoure Loftus-Cheek
    Kane Aguero Vardy

    New Team: 3-5-2
    Pope Elliot
    Trippier Mee Lascelles Dunk Malone
    Hazard Salah Pogba Gross Zaha
    Morata Kane McBurnie

The defense is a bit of a concern and I'm thinking of getting rid of Trippier and upgrading Malone and possibly Lascelles.

    Thoughts?

McBurnie is a waste. Just get Niasse, you'll need him over the holiday period.

      Trippier to Daniels
      McBurnie to Niasse

Ditch Malone, Lascelles, etc. need to go.

      Get a City mid.

    2. Lazaretti
      • 8 Years

You need better bench for December. Upgrade McBurnie and Malone. Trippier might also get rotated.

Zaha to RLC/Hughes/Carroll/Milivojevic. upgrade McBurnie to Niasse. Malone to 4.5 nailed def.

      • 14 Years

      Will focus on the negatives:
      1) No City seems ludicrous.
      2) You're also going to need your bench in weeks to come - Malone and McBurnie won't play.
      3) Trippier still rotation risk

West Brom looked absolutely terrible, Eriksen may come good against them. However, I ditched for Sane last week.

Keep Silva, he’s getting returns and has been so close to scoring. He is going to get a big game soon I think.

    Fabianski, Elliot
    Jones, Daniels, Moreno, Mee, Mariappa
    Salah, Sterling, Zaha, Richarlison, Carroll
    Aguero, Kane, Morata

I like my mids but want Pogba so maybe it's time to change for 3-5-2 esp when Carroll is dropped?

    A) Carroll, Aguero > Pogba, Niasse/Wilson (+plenty ITB)
    B) Aguero > Lukaku and bank FT
    C) Sterling, Aguero > Pogba, Lukaku

Thoughts on Coutinho? 8.8, low ownership, on set pieces, 3G 2A in 482 minutes, amazing fixtures, lovely little player... What's not to like? A Pool double up has historically been great, even more so now.

I'd much rather shift cash into mid to afford the likes of Salah, Cout, Pogba, City mid than cheap out on Gross/Choupo (saying this as a Gross and Choupo owner). Way more consistent and can explode (plus captaincy options).

    A) Gross
    B) Choupo-Moting

Thinking B should go as A can be rotated for the good fixtures.

Not a fan of B, flatters to deceive. Basically the Joselu of Stoke. Failed to score a goal as effectively striker in 10 games this season.

Agree with B - Groß is the best value of all players, and should be a season keeper,

Too much choice in midfield this season, and too little in attack. Pretty chuffed with current midfield of

    Salah - Sané - Silva - Richarlison - Groß

Is there room for likes of Pogba, Hazard, Couthino here? Classic case of value over total points. Might be tempted to do Silva -> Pogba, or swap Richarlison for him, even.

Very nice. Can't go wrong with any of them. I see Salah and Hazard as genuine captaincy options compared to the City boys and the cheapies.

Would probably make Haz a priority for that reason.

Silva to Haz deserves consideration. Lack of haul potential may make Silva expendable. But Silva's stats are good, will be interesting to see what he can do against Huds.

Yeah this is it. I've got Salah Sané Sterling Silva at the moment and at least 2 of the City lads get at least an assist every week. Will probably keep for this upcoming run. Might make my 5th Hazard with some big cash shifts.

Silva has come ridiculously close to scoring the last few, he is so due a goal or two

5 man midfield seems the way to go currently. I’m looking at
      Sane salah Hazard Richarlison Pogba

        Now that's expensive - need to go 4 - 5 - 1 , or cheap in defense then

thats an ideal midfield. stick morata up front and u can somehow get rid of the urge for haz too. maybe silve out if youre desperate for pog.

Not really a lot of money. Around 14 mill and you'd be reasonably expecting at least clean sheets from most of their upcoming games. 12 points a game for 14 mill with the fairly regular goal and assist thrown in...

Thoughts here? 1.4 ITB. Might save to do Eriksen > Hazard next week.

    Salah Eriksen Sterling Richarlison RLC
    Kane Aguero

    Foster Niasse Mee Moreno

I get the Pogba attraction, next two games are good.
But after those two, Id want Sterling more than Pogba I think

I would keep both Vardy and Sterling - Vardy will score at West Ham

Who are your top 3 transfer targets at this moment in time?
    Mine are:
    1. Salah (or possibly Coutinho if I can't make that work).
    2. Silva
    3. Pogba

Yes, I've got Salah Sané Sterling Silva TC. Think TC to Hazard is my main aim. Obviously an expensive move, but got plenty of blanking strikers to get rid of.

You need to get Salah asap, he's amazing.

          1. Pieterke30

Easier to get rid of Silva for Hazard, imo

If one can afford, seems to me that the ideal mid 5 is Salah, Sané, Hazard, Pogba/Sterling, RLC

And if you have the money, can upgrade RLC to Gray/Richarlison/Gross

Spending more than that in midfield does not seem realistic to me

I know, been kicking myself as I went Coutinho who got injured straight away then got in Alli for him instead of Alli (who has got nothing for me in 2 games) who I need to hold now fr the WBA game at least 🙁

    3. Pieterke30

      1. Hazard or Alonso to triple up Chelsea (have Azpi and Morata)
      2. Pogba
      3. D. Gray if I get rid of Richarlison; otherwise a cheap GK to save some money (GKs are Foster and Gomes since my WC in GW3 - I know...)

If I wanted to start three strikers every week, Wilson would be one of my top priorities

Wilson was so tempting me also but decided to go for a power front three, for the first time this season, instead just as almost everyone else on here seems to be doing the opposite!

    My current team is:

    Gomes - Pope
    Jones - Vertonghen - Ward - Moreno - Mbemba
    Salah - Sane - STERLING - Richarlison - CHOUPO
    JESUS - Kane - Niasse

Over the next two gameweeks I am tempted to go down one of two routes (or just put Morata in for now):

Route 1: (Chelsea orientated, with one weaker link)
    Morata > JESUS
    Hazard > STERLING
    Loftus-Cheek > CHOUPO

Route 2: (More diverse with a Man United player, no weak links IMO)
    Morata > JESUS
    Pogba > STERLING
    Zaha > CHOUPO

    What do you reckon?

What to do with this lot? Planned on going Wimmer > Alonso and Kaku > Morata in GW14.
    1FT 2.0 itb
    Elliott (Foster)
    Jones Stones* Ward (Wimmer Dunk)
    Pogba Richarlison Silva Salah RLC
    Kane Kaku (Abraham)

Stones on the top of the priority list this week, was thinking stones > otamendi, but thinking maybe kompany has more goal threat if he can stay healthy.
