We ease our way out of Saturday’s action with a head-to-head at St James’ Park involving two sides who offer limited Fantasy interest.

Newcastle United host Leicester City with Jamie Vardy the top owned asset on show.

The striker has just a goal and an assist from his last five Gameweek but remains part of 16.9% of Fantasy Premier League squads. His ownership increased by 169,000 over the past two Gameweeks with some 83,000 swooping for Vardy ahead of this match.

Harry Maguire is next in line and is included in 8.8% of squads – he will bid to guide the Foxes to their fifth clean sheet of the season, having gained a first shut-out in the last five Gameweeks last time out against Burnley.

As for Newcastle, their most popular Fantasy assets both miss out. Rob Elliot (25%) once again plays understudy to Karl Darlow in goal, while Chancel Mbemba (11.4%) is out of the matchday squad. Jamaal Lascelles (6.1%) is fit and returns among the substitutes.

        Really? Plenty of defenders in the 4.5-5m that I’d consider nailed.

        Problems come from the budget players are the bigger clubs...Jones, Rojo, Christensen....I’m waiting for Shaw to start tomorrow are start a melt down

    I'd love to see David Moyes do well at West Ham. Given the hard times he's had in his last few roles it would be great to see him turn things around for them and start to build a strong team in the longer term.

          Yet Allardyce had us looking perfectly decent for the previous half a season. The owner and the core of the squad are shocking, but Moyes sucked any positivity and momentum out of the club and replaced it with a joblot of 40-year old Everton old boys.

            That's the key. Certain managers who take on these roles can get things running smooth for a few months, a bit of a galvanising effect, but long term the quality reveals itself. Pardew, as an example, has made a living doing it.

            I'm not defending Moyes' tenure at Sunderland particularly, but relegation was coming and had been coming for some time.

    Messed up today. Got bench order wrong and put Kenny ahead of Long somehow with Mee starting. Not at all what I'd intended - owned Long all season just in case this happened.

    One player i have been planning to sell is Kolasinac but seen people on here trying to get him. from what i can tell, his main (and pretty much only) source of points is home games against rubbish teams, and he does get some big scores in those games to be fair.

    2 of the 3 home games are vs chelsea and pool and the other 5 of his next 8 are away from home.

    surely makes more sense to sell rather than buy?

      Away games to Stoke, Liverpool, Chelsea, Watford, Everton, City and Burnley are not easy. His returns will be a lot more consistent in the upcoming run.

      He is third highest scoring defender, and the two above cost a decent amount more. Don't understand why, or who for. Unless you want to go cheaper and use the cash for your attackers.
      Defensively you are not going to do better.
