The ScoutCast takes on the role of support group ahead of Gameweek 18, as the four-strong collective attempt to give advice on how to find motivation when the season begins to slide into the abyss.

I go AWOL, though Peter Kouwenberg comes in for a timely debut. The former Hall of Fame number one is one of those suffering an abject season, after an extraordinary run of three successive top 300 finishes. No, really.

For once, Jonty, Andy and Az are in the presence of Fantasy Premier League greatness, then, as the quartet give counsel on those struggling to soldier on after a season of “unnecessary roughness”.

Elsewhere they talk Harry Kane for once, as exit plans are abandoned, while questioning whether Eden Hazard can justify his selection in light of David Silva’s sudden goal spree.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Thursday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Tempted to captain De Gea and leave him as captain for the foreseeable future. Probably get more points on average over a month than selecting big hitters looking at his points week in week out

Saves will dry up when Pogba returns. He’s the link between defence and attack. Without him United are getting overran in midfield and conceding chances.

Clean sheets will still remain though. Especially with Jones in the back line again! I'm sick of my big hitters blanking on captain choice lol

I'd go D as I think you have a def more worthy of a 352. Also gives you a bit more flexibility

      1. We Will Klopp you
        • 9 Years

Scratch that. Taking a hit to Firmino out before Bournemouth could go badly, I'd say go A and keep your options open. Can take the hit next gw when Austin has Huddersfield if needs be

Decided to just 'relax on my bed for a few mins' and only just woken up 😆 Glad Ward didn't drop. Little bit of a headache.

Ward needs to go to prepare for Adrian coming in and because he's crocked.

Do you reckon I bring in
    A) Kenny for the likely clean sheet
    B) Masuaku as the option who'll likely have more longevity

One thing I am conscious of though is that I need to bring Adrian in next gw so will be locked into my current def for gw19. So will have 3 good fixtures out of 4 starting defenders if I get Kenny (if you can even class Watford at home as a good fixture re Dunk)

    1. Pranav Santhosh

I like B. David Moyes in his latest conference said hart will get plenty of games. Does this put you off Adrian?

        • 9 Years

Cheers, Hammers fans seem confident Adrian is the better option so I feel the risk is minimal when having him as my second keeper even if Hart does get a game.

Through to the 3rd round of the FFS Cup.

Feeling a little unlucky to have been knocked out of the members cup by a point. Very similar teams. His Ogbonna bonus point got him the win. My Ward and Kabasele 1 ptr made him a lucky winner..

Oh well.. Back to the leagues!!

    Salah Hazard(c) Richalison* RLC Chopo-Moting
    Kane Firmino (Abraham)

My issues are Abraham, no Morata and Richalison injury doubt. Also think Pogba will be good value next GW.

    A) Save FT (my preference at this stage)
    B) Abraham --> DCL and bank small change
    C) Upgrade Richalison / Choupo-Moting with spare cash and potentially not be able to get Morata back.
    D) Take a hit to get someone decent for Abraham up front

    Fab
    Azpi, Ota, Mustafi*
    Salah, Hazard, Sane, Richarlison*
    Niasse, Kane, Austin
    Bench: Elliot, Duffy, RLC, Ward*

    1) GTG/ save
    2) Elliot > Pope or Lossl
    3) Niasse > Diouf
    4) Sane, Austin > Silva, Rooney (-4)
    5) Something else (1FT, 0.9itb)

Selling Sane, although frustrating and dropped again, doesn't seem worthy now that he's been rested. But, hell, I'm willing for the right/correct transfer.

    (1) Silva + Fabianski or any till 4.9
    (2) Richarlison + DDG

    (1) or (2)? Not sure whether to double up on City mids or to have (2). Thanks in advance!

Bought to put Masuaku in and then GTG? Dunk in if Richarlison isn't fit.

    Pope
    Otamendi Kolasinac Christensen Masuaku
    Salah (H)azard Sterling Richarlison
    Kane Morata

    Elliott Dunk RLC Niasse
