Despite the lack of fanfare surrounding Richarlison’s Premier League arrival (as demonstrated by his sub-0.1% opening ownership level), a sensational series of early Gameweeks quickly drew widespread Fantasy interest in Watford’s wide man, and have even sparked rumours of his inclusion in Brazil’s World Cup squad for the upcoming summer.

Richarlison burst out of the gate impressively, with a goal and an assist in his first two games, and an impressive four strikes in his first seven.

Of late, however, the returns have begun to dry up for Watford’s main man. Now goalless in his last ten, his ownership has tumbled from a high of 1.1 million to just 900,000 over the last few weeks. The emergence of similarly-priced budget options in Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard and West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic have also seen Richarlison slide down our own Watchlist.

Has Richarlison’s play deteriorated over recent Gameweeks – or can we expect to find him back amongst the goals in 2018?

We’ll be exploring the Brazilian’s numbers across a range of key categories, in order to ascertain his value moving forward into the second half of the FPL campaign.

Why would Sky Italy know about a Chilean footballer moving from one English club to another?

It's Sky up to their usual betting market tricks, they want to make money from rumours.

            M. Dembele to Brighton on Xmas day was a recent one. Aubameyang to Chelsea, Lewandowski to United, van Dijk to Man City too.

Sky Sports, the home of BS.

5 including DDG, so I am really hoping all 4 teams blank!
Will be a lovely rank boost because other people have to take hits or won’t play 11. Or people will have to use their FH in that week, which in turn will be a massive advantage for me come GW 31/35.

            1. Licious Lizard (delete acc)
                8 years, 6 days ago

I just need to sell one and bench 4 (incl. DDG) to field 11 players.
Much less than the average I think, so I’m hoping for blanks 🙂

            Jones, Lingard, Sterling and Alonso

I wouldn't worry about the GW28 postponements too much. The games might be played in GW28, and I think City are 99% likely to push for a GW30 rescheduling of their fixture against Brighton. United and Chelsea could also have a DGW in GW29.

I've always said the journalist reporting the story outweighs the source they write for.

            For example:
Goal isn't reliable. But Melissa Reddy gets top LFC info.
Daily Express isn't reliable. Paul Joyce outgrew them with his information and now is at The Times.

BBC are usually good though. They rather wait most times as opposed to jumping at a story.

Yep, if it’s on the BBC it’s pretty much nailed. I think that’s because their code of practice requires at least 3 of their own sources with the same news before they run with the story. I may be wrong on that though.

Guardian or BBC, as they always post stories way later than the rest (which normally means there is some form of confirmation/reliability)

Different journos for different clubs. I’ll give Everton as an example as that’s the only one I’d know about. Paul Joyce obviously gets a lot of scoops first because when he tweets something and he’s usually first with it, he’s never wrong. The Liverpool Echo on the other hand, has had a terrible relationship with the club and so even though they’re the local paper you can pretty much discount anything they say.
Saying that, an interesting thing came out of Everton’s AGM the other day, whereby Moshiri admitted his mistake in talking to Jim White of SkySports fame and said tonight he’d made some new friends at the Echo. The very next day the paper ran with the Walcott story so if that transfer does come off, one might assume that could be a good source in the future.
I tend to disregard anything that’s said tbh unless you know the source has been good for it in the past, simply due to the amount of different players that are linked to clubs. Man Utd, for instance, seem to be linked with 20 different players per window. Having said that, if every media outlet is constantly saying the same thing then there probably is truth to it after all.

          What do we think ?

          Fab
          Jones, Alonso, Ottamendi, Dunk
          Erikson, Son, Arnautovic, Sterling
          Kane, Firmini

          Migs, RLC, Kenny,DCL

          A) Arnautovic -> Lingard (Free)
          B) Erikson -> Lingard & Firmino -> Aguero (4 point hit)

Hazard is quite a mystery. Just exactly when does he score all his goals? I'm sure somebody just makes up goals for him at the end of the season...

"How many shall we say Hazard scored this season"....

"Dunno"...."Shall we put him down as a 16 again"....

          "Aye...ok"

Haha! He looks a great threat just off morata but not out wide in a 3 way attack! Usually he scores in bunches I think. Also, points wise he is a massive BAPS magnet! So just an assist gives him 6points pretty much! Might explain his high end of season points totals a little

I have five players involved in the Liverpool-Man City game:
          Otamendi-Sane-Sterling-Salah-Firmino

          Any obvious benching possibilities, here?
Something like a 1-1 draw (Milner pen., de Bruyne) would be a guaranteed red arrow for the GW.

Only one I would consider benching is Ota depending on your other defenders.

GL and hope for a high scoring match!

You can put out a decent team this week, and I think there are a few players who might get transferred who could be interesting alternatives to RLC and DCL, namely Kennedy & Niasse both of whom are remoured to be on the move to other Prem teams.

How do! So....I have plenty ITB. have Zero FT,'s have Christensen, but would like Alonso

I plan on doing Alli > Salah next week, so next week's FT is a gonner too.

            Do I:

            A) bring in Alonso for Christensen for a hit, reckoning that the payoff between now and the blank(s) will more than pay for the hit.

            B) Wait two weeks and bring him in for free, albeit reducing the timescale where his (hopefully) higher scoring will benefit my OR.

            C) Do Alli > Salah for a hit this week, and bring in Alonso on a free next week

            Foster
            Otamendi, Jones, Christensen, Mee
            De Bruyne, Salah, Sterling, Richarlison
            Kane, Morata

            Elliot; Masuaku, Loftus-Cheek, Calvert-Lewin.

            1 FT 0.4 ITB

            A) Save transfer
            B) Richarlison -> Lingard

I'm looking at Morata + Christensen -> Firmino + Alonso next week. Would be for free if I save, -4 if I get Lingard.

This article may have just persuaded me to hold onto Richarlison.
