We now turn to focus on the Sky Sports game, looking back at the previous round of action before preparing you for the Gameweek that gets underway with tonight’s three kick-offs.

We will examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before moving on to the Scout team and our future plans.

Gameweek 24 Man of the Match Awards

These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.

FixtureMoTM
Brighton vs ChelseaEden Hazard
Arsenal vs Crystal PalaceMesut Ozil
West Ham vs BournemouthMark Noble
Burnley vs Man UnitedPhil Jones
Everton vs West BromSalomon Rondon
Stoke vs HuddersfieldMoritz Bauer
Leicester vs WatfordJamie Vardy
Man City vs NewcastleSergio Aguero
Southampton vs TottenhamJames Ward-Prowse
Swansea vs LiverpoolAlfie Mawson

Sergio Aguero, Alfie Mawson and Solomon Rondon all move on to three MoTM awards for the season.

The Man City striker has hit compelling form ahead of a trio of favourable fixtures (WBA bur LEI) and looks a smart acquisition considering our overhaul comes into play after those matches.

Mesut Ozil, meanwhile, seems to have almost “stealthed” his way up to five gongs for the season and the German could be a great differential post-Gameweek 28.

Lastly, Eden Hazard earned his seventh accolade and is now tied second with Mohamed Salah, just one behind Kevin De Bruyne.

Gameweek 24 Bonus Points

Let’s take a look at the players who have earned 35 points or more in bonus for the season.

Watchlist

Here I aim to highlight a few differential players with low ownership who I think could prove worthy targets until the Overhaul in three weeks time (Gameweek 28).

Three specific price brackets will be used to cater for our available budgets.

The players will evolve with fixtures and form, and offer Fantasy managers a nudge in the right direction.

Notes

A drop of seven places for me despite a decent tally of 86 points – it’s getting tough to make a significant move near the top, largely due to most people having very similar teams.

It’s why I’m actually looking forward to the overhaul in three weeks.

I may go differential-crazy in a desperate bid to crack the top 50, but it will be very difficult to omit the likes of Nicolas Otamendi and Salah given their ridiculously consistent points scoring.

A scattering of calculated differentials is probably the wiser strategy and the route I will take.

Before that, I may look at one more swap, with Firmino out for David Silva or a Chelsea player on Wednesday evening, to get the extra match and avoid Liverpool’s tougher fixtures to come.

That would give me 11 transfers for 11 more Gameweeks and a team perfectly set up to cope with them.

Captain Plan

Tues 30th – Salah (hud)
Weds 31st – De Bruyne (WBA)

Very as I think they go for it away from home , more likely to have goals than WB closing the doors as much as they can and trying to make life difficult for city.

WB will be going for a draw at best and Bournemouth will be trying to go for a win!

1 - he hasn't retruned good fpl points when playing as a false 9 this season

2 - he won't play as a false 9 this weekend because Willian is out. he will play behind Batshuayi, with Pedro.

I regret using my free hit chip early as I didn't fully grasp the idea of it, but i do not regret the early wildcard I used I'm gameweek 22.

So far I've climbed 400,000 places since I used it. Maybe at the low rank I am at using the wildcard early is a more viable strategy...

Despite not having a top 10k finish to my name I think this is a legitimate strategy for many players as opposed to waiting for a double gameweek.
I've already reaped the benefits from using my wildcard and although I may miss out on 40 to 50 points to those who use it in a double answer I think i can more than make up for that over a longer period of time.
What are people's thoughts on this?
Have i made a huge mistake or is my decision going to benefit me this season?
