After Huddersfield ended Bournemouth’s seven-match unbeaten run in style, we make our way to Tyneside as Newcastle United take on Manchester United at 2.15pm.

Up against a Magpies side with just four goals in their last eight home matches, the Red Devils look well-placed to deliver a sixteenth clean sheet of the campaign.

Such resilience means that David De Gea is the third most popular player in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), with over 43% owning the United keeper.

Meanwhile, interest in Antonio Valencia is on the rise – acquired by over 113,000 last week, the raiding right-back has climbed to fourth among defenders.

Despite scoring just a single away goal since Gameweek 6, Romelu Lukaku is the fourth top captain pick for this round of fixtures and earns 10.9% backing.

Meanwhile, only 1.4% have handed the armband to Alexis Sanchez, who fired more shots (six) than any player in Gameweek 26 on the way to scoring his first league goal for Jose Mourinho’s side since arriving from Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Paul Pogba, Phil Jones and Anthony Martial all return to the teamsheet after being dropped at home to Huddersfield – the former two were transferred out by 99,000 and 97,000 FPL managers respectively ahead of Gameweek 27.

Jesse Lingard – subject to 169,000 sales last week – retains his spot in the visitors’ XI despite a run of one goal in his previous six league outings.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Conte deserves to be fired just for continuing to think that Chelsea would be world beaters if only they’d signed Lukaku and Llorente.

Worked wonders with Llorente at Juve. Fair enough maybe not world beaters, but those type of strikers are the exact players he likes.

He did I won’t deny but that was a long time ago. To me that’s like comparing Llorente now to when he doing amazing stuff with Athletic Bilbao. Spurs only have him as a back up but Conte constantly goes on about it.

        1. Somalion
          • 16 Years

See, thing is Llorente has always relied on size and aerial prowess, so it's reasonable to say even now he'd be a similar level performance wise. Certainly saved Swansea last season.

I think what Conte is banging on about (don't get me wrong, I dislike Conte hugely) is that Llorente was going for a relatively low fee and where he would have used him a lot in matches, he was lured to Spurs to sit on the bench. I would almost guarantee the money Spurs offered him was far better. I reckon that is what Conte is so annoyed about, that the Chelsea board let him slip by to a rival and rot on the bench when he would have made significant use of him.

There isn’t. That’s why I didn’t understand people bringing him in when his role was clearly going to be one he wasn’t comfortable with now everything has to shift to accommodate Sanchez.

            First off, I'm joking.

Second of all, if you say it's never against them, then it's never against any of Bournemouth, Spurs, Swansea and West Brom who have equal or fewer penalties conceded.

Also Liverpool frequently get caught with their pants down in central areas of the box as opposed to wide/edge areas where a penalty call is difficult to give as it could actually be a free.

I did a thing at the start of the season. Mou main strikers rarely get 20+ goals a season. i think it was 2 or 3 out of 6 full seasons.
