That’s just enough time to join Jonty, Andy and Az in revisiting the Gameweek 31 scenario and chip strategies that dominate your community questions.

While I’m away, the boys also consider the Gameweek 31 traps to decide whether we’re in danger of being distracted by the mediocrity on offer. The fate of premium-priced defenders is also discussed before they preview Gameweek 28, as I crash back in to make my late contribution.

        But seriously, both average about a goal every 13 games, so you will be lucky to get more than 1 goal out of either of them for the rest of the season. Picking CBs for goal threat is one of those big FFS myths.

    Who's the most nailed Everton defender?

    Fullback spots;
    Coleman: only coming back from injury
    Kenny: second choice to Coleman
    Baines: only coming back from injury
    Martina: second choice to Baines

    CB spots:
    Mangala and Jagielka returning from injury soon,
    Keane, Williams, Jagielka, Mangala (and Holgate to some extent) all rotate a lot and hard to know who's first choice

    Am I missing anything about injuries or preferred starters?

      Mate their defence is horrendous. Coleman nevertheless will be a great option once fully match sharp. He's pretty much a winger, like Alonso.

    Why are most favoring Hegazi over Dawson? Dawson has more shots per game, way more crosses per game and seems to have better BAPS potential (more duels won, dispossessed less etc)?

        Differential, in second in my ML. He just scored three and I think Mark said in a scout post that he had more shots on target than anyone else last gameweek. Plus, makes it more interesting going against the grain! Thoughts?

          I just checked and he had no shots on target last gameweek.

          He's only a differential if he outscores Salah.

          Always interesting to go with a differential, but only if it works out. He's not in better form than Salah certainly imo, and Salah's effective ownership will be crazy. Just having Mane should be enough.

          Firmino, Mahrez, Eriksen, Verthongen and VVD are the best options imo. Which three it depends on each team.

    On captioning a Liverpool player. That 4-1 thumping they gave WH earlier in season was against a Bilic-managed team. A WH fan told me his defensive nous2as a coach was absolutely non-existent. Probable Liverpool win but Moyesy seems to take pleasure in foiling stronger sides. Did a job on Spurs as an example. I can see it being 1 or 2 nil and a 0-0 woukdnt be all too surprising. Thoughts anyone?

          Spurs will score more but Mahrez more likely to be involved if Leicester score.
          I'd probably take Eriksen purely because i'd like to see 90 minutes from Mahrez just to make sure his head is in the right place.
