Mohamed Salah’s remarkable debut season just keeps on rolling and, while the ScoutCast crew have been fervent in their support for the Egyptian from Gameweek 1, we’ve been a lot more reluctant to hand him the captaincy.

Salah’s numbers and, in particular, his head-to-head with Golden Boot and armband rival Harry Kane, come under scrutiny in this latest episode. Jonty, Andy, Granville and Az join me as we reveal the true tale of our lack of faith and the damage done. The evidence is conclusive and nobody has more regrets than yours truly.

Elsewhere, your community questions have us revisit some of the Gameweek 31 casualties that had their credibility knocked by a weekend littered with eye-opening disappointment and we assess the allure of Arsenal’s favourable run-in. That’s also conclusive.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Zero substitutions indicates to me that a manager is out of ideas on how to change the game. Wenger is clearly struggling to come up with solutions or motivate himself to do so.

Guiding the team over a financially restricted period whilst moving stadium deserves respect, and should be remembered fondly by Arsenal fans for the Invincibles. But I feel his time is up.

I watched them at Bournemouth and they are such a soulless team. They used to play wonderful football and have an identity. Now they have too much mediocrity and no leadership. There is nothing I see to show me they really care. Bournemouth outfought them and wanted it more. And that is 6/7 players worth less then Aubameyang combined. Think Wenger needs to go and and a new man bring in impetus and leadership and passion

First Arsenal aren’t in the game to win titles. They’re in it to be profitable and they’re one of the rare European clubs to achieve that goal of profitability. Winning titles is hence secondary and Wenger hasn’t been sacked cuz he’s been able to consistently achieve profitability.
Also, for this season, Arsenal no longer cares about anything other than winning the Europa League which would give them a spot in next year’s CL.
The tragic bottom line is that it’s impossible to support a team that’s only in the game for the money.

Their league position is largely down to Montella who got the sack. They've improved markedly under Gattuso and are currently on a 13 game unbeaten run in all competitions. Certainly in better form than Arsenal.

i have 8-9 GW31 players in my team, namely schindler, van dijk, daniels, kenny, richarlison, salah, shaqiri, wilson, firminho.

my current draft team has three fairly bad players in who'll blank in GW31: sterling [mixed fixtures, injury doubt], lingard [mixed fixtures, selection doubt], ogbonna [tidy fixtures but dreadful form].

which of the three do i can, and who for? 3.5 ITB. main candidates are eriksen, walcott, er,... maybe a stoke defender or something, such as Bauer??? etc.

    I’m struggling to make a decision;
I want Bobby, no persuading me otherwise.
To do so I need to downgrade either Son or Sterling.
If I do Son then to get a mid I actually want (Shaq, Rambo, Armie) id also bin off Shaw (don’t ask) for someone cheaper but that’s another 4pts!
With Son falling tonight I’ve got to move tonight I think.
Keep Son for the fixtures and the 4pts or keep sterling for his return and being in the best team in the league?
Then is it Arnie, Rambo, Shaq?!
    Grrr

        Lol, fully kitted too.

I didn't see the match, did any Arsenal attackers pass the eye test or warrant consideration for bringing in for 29,30 and 32?

    thanks

No. But would watch them against Brighton away and home game in gw30. Will give you a much better indication
