Our usual post-match delve into the Gameweek data arrives this evening as we check in with some of the standout players from the previous round of fixtures.

Gameweek 31 remains a factor in our selection, with Everton and Bournemouth midfielders catching the eye.

Watford’s defence under Javi Gracia is also analysed, while Brighton’s playmaker and Leicester’s attack-minded centre-half more than merit their place under the spotlight.

Really don't know what to do..

    DDG, Elliot
    Alonso, VvD, Duffy, Mee, Kenny
    Sterling, Shaqiri, Salah, RLC, Walcott
    Kane, Kun, Wilson

    2FT and 0.5 ITB

    Any help would be appreciated!

Who would you bring in for this week considering fixtures for GW30 and 32? (Going against the consensus and using my FH in GW31)

    A) Kenny > Lascelles (SOT, HUD)
    B) Kenny > Schindler (SWA, new)
    C) Kenny > Maguire (wba, bha)
    D) Kenny > Cresswell (BUR, SOT)
    D) Quaner > J.Ayew (hud, MUN) - Only considering this because rival has J.Ayew

Not really looking beyond GW32 too much for now as I'll likely WC in 33 once there is more clarity on the doubles.

I'm gonna do almost the excact same thing as I still have FH, WC and Bench boost to use. FH for blank gameweek, WC probably gw33 or closer to DGW, and bench boost for DGW.

      Strongly considering alternative C myself.

I have a horrid conundrum of Wilson and Stanislas v Spurs this weekend. Obviously don't want to get rid of any but feel a bit limited. Team is

    Pickford
    Davies, Alonso, Robertson
    Salah, Sterling, Walcott, Stanislas
    Kane, (K)un, Wilson

Elliott. Lowton. Milly. Hegazi. 1ft. 1.2itb.

Worth ditching Lowton for a GW31 defender and playing them over Stanislas? Thanks.

Seems the consensus is wildcard GW32. I think I could get a decent squad out 32 by not going overboard on 1 week punts in 31, so wouldn’t it make more sense to wildcard in 33? Gives much more information re: injuries/form for a more successful BB. I don’t buy into the one extra saves transfer debate.

On another note, for those like myself who burned TC on Kane earlier in the season, are you considering FH in the second double GW, as opposed to GW35? Would be nice to have a full compliment of double gameweeks for both sets of fixtures

    1. IRBOX âš½
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 9 months ago

Also, this is a minor point.. but if most wildcard in 32, your chances of playing the market for extra value is better the following week when the transfers actually affect rises and fallers (I know value is not important at this stage but it is another interesting thought)

100%, but a lot depends on the quality of the team post 31, and I think there is a bit or merit to playing it one week later, value aside

Mainly depends on Palace vs Pool, a fixture Palace does well in. Everton vs Man City doesn't look great but the rest are decent.

    2. Pasqualinho
      • 16 Years
      7 years, 9 months ago

It's only the consensus for those not FHing in 31. But yes, FH in the second DGW is tempting me, despite still having TC. I've yet to see convincing evidence that FH35 is the way to go (although that is my current strategy).

    3. Goalosaurus
      • 8 Years
      7 years, 9 months ago

I'll probably WC in GW33. Will have around 7 players for GW31 and some of those will be cheap so happy to bench GW32.

Also used my TC on Kane but think I'll use the FH on the second blank week as I would look to have 11 double players GW37 with the help of the GW33 WC and free transfers.

This is all based on bench boosting in the first double.

    4. I can field 11 in GW31 while carrying over 2 FTs to GW32, and I can get a pretty decent team out in GW32 using those transfers, so is a no-brainer for me to WC GW33 🙂 This was my plan all along if the FA Cup 5th round went as hoped, and none of my GW31 got injured/dropped, which they haven't (yet), with the adaptability to switch to a GW32 WC if needed.

11 in 31 with 2FT’s. Absurd! 😉 how have your last few GW’s been.. green or red?

        1. Rank has improved, but admittedly more down to my Aguero (c) the other week than the performance of most of my GW31 players! Was always a flexible strategy I was willing to ditch if it was clearly going to work out terribly, which it hasn't (yet!)

Do we know when the big DGW will be? When are fixtures re-jigged?

    1. Big DGWs should be in GW34 and GW37, unknown which will be bigger - most/all DGW games should be confirmed shortly after GW31 finishes.
