Scout Notes – Gameweek 35 Fixtures Confirmed

FA Cup victories for Chelsea and Southampton complete the semi-final line-up and limit the Gameweek 35 schedule to just six fixtures.

It took Chelsea 120 minutes to see off Leicester City 2-1, while the Saints rode their luck to win 2-0 at Wigan in Mark Hughes’ first match in charge.

The Blues went ahead at the King Power Stadium when Alvaro Morata finished sweetly from Willian’s through ball just before half-time.

It was the Spanish striker’s first goal in 14 appearances in all competitions. He last scored in the league in Gameweek 20 as injuries and a crippling collapse in form and confidence threatened to blight his first season in English football.

One goal doesn’t confirm a sudden renaissance, but his performance yesterday was impressive – he had a match-leading seven shots, five of which were on target – and much closer to the levels that had brought in 10 goals and four assists during the first half of the season.

Jamie Vardy equalised for the Foxes, poking home a Vicente Iborra rebound as the home side rallied after the break to force extra time.

That meant back-to-back goals in all competitions for the forward, who also has five strikes from his last seven league outings to justify his current status as the fifth most popular purchase of Gameweek 32.

Chelsea dug deep in extra time and substitute Pedro won the tie when he headed home N’Golo Kante’s cross, the finish made that much simpler as Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel committed himself to a ball he was never going to reach.

Coach Antonio Conte’s decision to field Morata, supported by Willian and Eden Hazard, worked well, particularly during a first half in which the visitors were comfortably on top.

But Leicester’s revival after the interval meant yet another match went by without a Chelsea clean sheet – they’ve kept just one of those in their last seven Gameweeks – which may yet dampen our interest in their backline.

The one exception remains Marcos Alonso, who continues to raid forward down the left flank at every opportunity, although his attacking output yesterday was kept to just one attempt on goal.

Chelsea’s run-in involves two huge home matches, against Spurs and Liverpool in Gameweeks 32 and 37 respectively, with the latter fixture part of a likely double Gameweek involving a visit from Huddersfield Town.

They’ll also have a double Gameweek 34, yet to be confirmed, comprising trips to Southampton and Burnley, with a home match against West Ham and visits to Swansea City and Newcastle rounding off their schedule.

The Blues have a mini-mountain to climb if they are to make it into the top four by the end of the season, but while that is still a possibility, Conte is highly likely to field his strongest XI, marking out the likes of Hazard, Willian and Alonso as clear contenders for our Wildcard squads.

Given that Morata has started one league match in five since Olivier Giroud joined the Blues, the situation up front is far less appealing.

Gameweek 32’s visit from Spurs could be pivotal. Should Chelsea lose, then their aspirations of Champions League qualification would be severely dented.

A victory, however, would present us with an opportunity to tap into a highly-motivated side with a measure of momentum about them.

Those of us waiting to play our Wildcards in Gameweek 33 will be watching that match with a very interested eye indeed.

Star duo the pick of the Foxes

Leicester also have a busy run-in, with an expected pair of double Gameweeks and some attractive fixtures to promote their assets.

Vardy and Riyad Mahrez remain the big draws, although the Algerian was relatively quiet yesterday, with his two attempts matched by centre-half Wes Morgan.

Mahrez’s league form, however, is picking up – after four straight blanks, he’s produced two goals and an assist from the last two Gameweeks.

The Foxes’ schedule promises more of the same.

Southampton’s win yesterday means a blank Gameweek 35 for them both, but before that Leicester will travel to Brighton, host Newcastle and then probably have a double Gameweek 34 involving Burnley away and Arsenal at home.

Their second double, pencilled in for Gameweek 37, will be much more attractive as it should be made up of home matches with West Ham and Southampton, and they’ll also travel to Crystal Palace and Spurs before the season is done.

Essentially, Leicester will be one of just six sides with two double Gameweeks yet to follow – perhaps a key factor in determining the case for Vardy as part of our three-man frontlines, while Mahrez appears to be a shoo-in.

Nonetheless, investment outside the Foxes’ star duo is harder to justify.

They’ve not kept a clean sheet for six matches and, a 4-1 win at West Brom in Gameweek 30 aside, have failed to score more than one goal in a fixture during that spell, with Vardy and Mahrez netting six of the team’s nine goals.

Saints alive under Hughes

New Southampton manager Mark Hughes described his side’s win at Wigan as ‘a statement of intent’ and he did something similar himself by naming two strikers – Manolo Gabbiadini and Guido Carrillo – in his starting XI.

As it turned out, the goals came from rather more defensive assets, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Cedric Soares securing the victory and Dusan Tadic providing an assist.

Gabbiadini, a Fantasy legend for almost entirely the wrong reasons, did his reputation little good when he earned and then missed a second-half penalty, although to be fair to the Italian, his spot-kick required a superb save from the Wigan keeper.

Fantasy interest in him and the rest of the Southampton squad was the wrong side of minimal before the cup tie – they’d won only once in the league since Gameweek 13 and managed one clean sheet in nine matches before Hughes replaced Mauricio Pellegrino late last week.

And the Saints’ schedule is unlikely to prompt a change in our thinking any time soon.

Two double Gameweeks – Chelsea at home and Swansea City away in 34 and trips to Everton and Leicester in 37 – are only marginally attractive.

Matches with West Ham (away) and home to Bournemouth are high points, but they’ll also have to face Arsenal and Man City before the end of the campaign.

Unless Hughes inspires an unlikely revival in Southampton’s fortunes, their assets seem likely to remain limited to a fifth defender or possibly Alex McCarthy as a budget keeper for the Gameweek 34 Bench Boost.

Gameweek 35 and beyond

Following postponement’s this morning, the Gameweek 35 slate now look like this:

Everton v Newcastle
Stoke City v Burnley
Watford v Crystal Palace
West Brom v Liverpool
Man City v Swansea City
Arsenal v West Ham

This reduced programme causes an issue for those managers loading up on double Gameweek 34 (yet to be confirmed) assets with the Bench Boost in mind.

Much depends, of course, on the remaining chips at your disposal.

Those with the Wildcard still in hand can simply load up on teams with doubles and play the Free Hit chip in Gameweek 35 to solve this dilemma.

Only six sides – Brighton, Spurs, Chelsea, Leicester, Southampton and Man United – now look set to be handed a pair of double Gameweeks and are likely to be heavily targeted in our squad refresh.

However, managers devoid of a Wildcard and/or Free Hit chip need to now pinpoint their targets for the run-in.

Only six of the teams with a double Gameweek 34 will also play in Gameweek 35 – Arsenal, Burnley, Man City, Newcastle, Swansea and West Ham.

Lukaku makes for a solid captain option GW32.

I have both for these games (along with Auba) before Firmino to Vardy for 34 BB.

My defence is limited: Robertson (to UTD def 34) Lowton Chilwell Christensen VDH.

However, with FH 35, I have 3 defenders with 2 double gameweeks.

(Morgan instead of Chilwell if I feel he’s a risk).

          It’s doable.

Is Hazard an absolute must for the wildcard? Or is Willian the perfect Chelsea exposure at 7m?

Additionally, those with the WC are you looking to take advantage by locking in a pricey front 3 of:

    Lukaku Aubameyang Vardy/Firmino

This looks like an attractive prospect to me and it is something made possible by choosing Willian over Hazard

I’ve gone Kaku, Aubameyang and Firmino. Willian in midfield and Christensen at the back are my Chelsea picks (alternative is Vardy and/or Barnes with Hazard and/or Alonso)

Lukaku Auba Vardy triple is very attractive but a premature Kane return could put the mockers on that. Wouldn't want to be without him for gw 37 double.

Don't think Hazard is essential at all unless he really starts upping his output, I'm going with Willian even though he's a rotation risk

      Willian +£3.6m elsewhere > Hazard.

He showed again last night he’s Chelsea’s biggest threat at the moment too.

Hazard if your chasing. Funds can go elsewhere. Prefer Alonso Willian combo.

Yeah I tend to agree I think the money saved from Hazard can be spread very efficiently with a wildcard. Of course any sort of premature Kane return will throw a spanner in the works. But this is why we Wildcard in gw 32 so we can save in 33 and have 2 transfers for 34 in an emergency if we need them.

I think Kane will be back for 34 as he has a tendency to come back pretty swiftly from injury like last year and after Salah's haul he will be more desperate to get back on the pitch and in the goals

If he’s back for 34 then my plan is ruined.

    DDG (Fabianski)
    Azpilicueta, Smalling, Lowton (Morgan, VDH)

That’s my plan anyway, Auba, Mustafi, Edersen maybe instead of DGG, keep Salah and Firmino, Burnley/Swansea type bench until then ... maybe a -4 hit on the day ... then WC 36 for a bouncing fresh brand new BB team 🙂

Lots of options, although it is easier with a FH for sure. I played mine earlier when i had injuries etc and gained a good few points from it so no regrets.

If you WC now in 32 you can theoretically have 3 FT between now and 35, or even carry one over beyond. If you WC next week you can't. A lot will depend on how you feel your team looks for this week.

You could play TC in WK34 and then WC and bench boost for wk37. Most would probably choose to BB in 34 and then TC in 37 having played WC in 32/33.

You should fill with DGW34 and a GW35 fixture. (Maybe one or two 34 essentials that don’t have a 35 game. Choose from DDG Willian Lukaku etc..).

Then roll transfers to bring in DGW37 players.

What are your thoughts on the optimal Goalkeeping pairing?

Current consensus seems to be De Gea and Fabianski. (10.6 total)

Are we potentially missing a trick by potentially going cheaper with Fabianski and Ryan (9.2) and spreading the extra funds into players like Smalling, Alonso, Valencia etc?

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

      Season run in strikeforce

Whether wildcarding or not what is your ideal frontline over the coming weeks.

Alot will depend on your chips.

So for example those without a free hit chip need to be focusing on Gameweek 35 as well as the doubles. Those with a free hit to play need not focus on this BGWK.

Those wildcarding now also need to consider the potential double in GWK 37. Do you have the key strikers for this week? Can you get those strikers easily?

      There are more specific issues.

Does Firmino stay - even though he has no doubles and those with a free hit chip can get him back in GWK 35 anyway? What of the value tied up in him? (I must admit this is a key issue for my wildcard)

What of Lukaku - hardly any double digit returns. Can he justify his price tag?

And Kane. When he comes back do you have a plan to squeeze him back into your side?

      1. Syd.

Form > fixtures. Yes those fixtures are fantastic, but utd are just so awful going forward. Lukaku has got 1 (!!!) double digit haul since gw6.

There are also 6 other fixtures around the double. I would put Firmino in my WC team over Lukaku 7 days a week.

Firmino is the biggest issue. Maybe there’s a case for those with Free Hit can sell him as they will definitely have him for 35?

Auba looks locked in till 35 atleast.

Lukaku is a serious captaincy contender for GW34 if Kane is not fit.

Vardy has 2 doubles and good fixtures.

Murray, Barnes & J.Ayew (when back) all look good budget options.

All in all some big decisions to make!

        Firmino
        Aubameyang
        Lukaku
        Vardy
        Murray
        Barnes
        Kane

All are or will be competing for one of my three striker slots over the season run in.

Currently wildcarding so watching the price rises and with Firmino, Aubameyang and Lukaku...but its an awful line up for the rest of my side. One has to go for Murray/Barnes or even Vardy. Tough decision.

Yep...will consider him too. That's a transfer locked in though as don't want him now while suspended. Plus have to consider double double players too. He's a singular dGWKer, if that makes sense.

If you're wildcarding though surely you can hold him on the bench for 2 gameweeks rather than spending a transfer to get him in later on?

And miss out on a great third striker perhaps for two matches?

I prefer Murray I think with two great fixtures and the chance of returns in the DGWK.

does him being singular dgw'er matter since after the bench boost is over with, youll need to bench one of your attackers for the 2nd dgw anyways? and if youre going with a power 5 midfield and 2 big strikers you wouldnt want to play him in the preceding two matches anyways.

Currently rocking the Auba, Lukaku and Firmino strikeforce for price rises as you mention

Plan is to carry 2 FTs into gw 34 in order to then swap Firmino to Vardy for DGW 34

          FH in 35

Hold Transfer in 36 if possible (Salah will be captain against Stoke so less inclined to rush Kane back in if fit)

Make two moves to bring Kane back in for DGW 37 keeping Lukaku also (Triple captain Kane)

Of course when Kane comes back in time for DGW 34 after a miracle recovery this whole plan goes to pot 😀

Think I'll go for Aubameyang, and one of, if not both, Firmino and Lukaku .Not sure how Kane fits into this.

What needs considering is whether to go double Liverpool, and if so: Firmino or Mane? Bought Firmino for £9.6 and Mane for £9.3, so not clear in terms of value. Mane has the advantage of greater points for clean sheets and goals, Firmino has the ownership to scare me into having him. I think it could well come down what other strikers and midfielders are wanted.

        Aubameyang/Lukaku, Firmino, Barnes/J.Ayew.

I don't see the value of going top heavy to be honest. Having extra funds in defence and midfield seems to be doing well for me so I'll be continuing with that tactic.

Firmino is exceptional value, and even has more points than the premium Lukaku. I would fancy Firmino to outscore most of the DGW strikers over the next 3-4 GW's.

As for Vardy, I just can't bring myself to owning him.

Aub is the only lock in - Double, good fixtures and can be replaced in 37 for another forward with the Double.

Lukaku is just that bit expensive for what he is - if any other united asset (other then Sanchez) presented themselves, we would be all over them.

The 2nd spot for me currently is Vardy, with the provision that I have my free hit to take him out.

3rd slot is a cheapie, Ayew in this case. Means a power 5 in midfield. Ayew and Miki looks better to me then Lukaku and Kennedy.

Actually I may come round to the idea of a power 5 mid and Ayew on the bench. My fielded midfield is already reasonable with Silva, Mahrez, Willian, Salah. Would look great with Eriksen or Son nestled in too.

My logic too - I’m happy to play Willian and Son against each other with their form.

My other defenders when potentially benching Alonso are Lowton, Mustafi and Chilwell. Not great but not bad.

Son will be lone striker and Willian the set piece taker and attacking midfield for the other team. I can't see a clean sheet in that derby.

Pretty much the same logic / midfield setup. I just think the midfield and forward options (especially when bench boosting) look better with the right cheap striker and 5 Man mid then the other way.

        firm auba ayew

i have managed to convince myself against the others
lukaku - tough games against swansea and cuty and i still dont trust united to thrash anyone
barnes - burnley struggle to score
vardy - i already have mahrez
        murray - prefer ayew

        Ideal i think Auba/Lukaku/Vardy but i will have Auba/Vardy/Ayew.
In almost all WC teams i saw 3 pool players, why BB in DGW34 with 3 SGW players?

Could work out but i would only keep Salah and have 14DGW players if i WC/BB.

Despite my best efforts, I just can't seem to deviate from a front 3 of Aubameyang, Firmino and Barnes/Ayew.

Power midfield 5 of Salah, Son, DSilva, Mahrez and Willian.

Will probably bring in Kane around gw36 - probably funded by selling Silva.

As I'm wildcarding this GW I think I prefer Auba, Firmino, Barnes. Will give great forward line and overall team balance for 32,34 --> Save FT on GW33 so there's the flexibility to possibly bring Lukaku in to captain him on GW34. Nevertheless I could go without Lukaku if I feel I won't captain him on 34.

It's easily the biggest issue for wildcarders.

I'm going Vardy, Auba and Firmino.

I really like the balance Firmino brings to my team, he's got great form, great fixtures and playing in a free-scoring team.

Lukaku is a good option but he's in a side who score a lot less goals and I just don't thing he's £2.5m (ish) better than Firmino even with the doubles.

For me as a non firmino owner though his uprise, Im a little low on value but still can get something interesting.
Im looking at 2 options currently:

        1) 3-4-3, King as 5th mid, 2 of Auba/Kaku/Firmino up front.

        2) 3-5-2, Son as 5th mid, Vardy/Auba/J Ayew up front

Difficult decision but growing on the power 5 mid. It will mean some reshuffling for DGW 37 as original draft had 8double DGWers vs "power 5 mid" team that had 5double DGWers.

With 4 FT between here and then (GW35 FH) this would enable me to get to 9 for GW37 without a hit. Add Salah in and thats 10.

This is the big decision people have with their WC but I have another question 2 vs 3 premium defenders (excluding GK)?

Will study this in detail later...but I've got a front 3 on wildcard of:
          Auba fimino barnes

This gives me a power midfield 5 plus Alonso and monreal.

I'll save my ft in 33 and then get lukaku for fimino in 34 and downgrade a mid - perhaps silva...

Can you really go without Firmino? Massive ownership, involved in everything Liverpool do, Liverpool very capable of scoring 4+ goals in most games. It's an easy choice for me as I don't have a FH, but i'd be scared to ditch him if I did.

If you’ve got a free hit (to bring him back in for 35) you can get away with it if your replacement has two doubles and scores during them. That aside it is stil a risk.

Been without him since Dec. Its been scary I must admit but if countered his scores and havent lost rank. I think given that Auba is almost a dead certain. Its tough between Vardy and lukaku, firmino. Im growing to Vardy and having a power 5 mid. Will need to reshuffle though for GW37

going power 5 midfield to start with Auba & Firmino upfront at least until GW36.
Don't see the value in Lukaku. Doesn't tend to collect bonus pts, 3 double figure scores only this season, just don't see anything in Utd atm that suggests they are going to put more than a couple past any side. Firmino has 7 double hauls and Liverpool can put 4 or 5 past anyone atm.
Caveat for all this is more GW info around Liverpool/City CL fixtures. Both have a derby fixture sandwiched between CL games.

        Firmino v Lukaku

Captaincy typically represents 20-25% of our scores on a weekly basis, hence, it is the most important decision to get right. When building our wildcard squads we need to look ahead to the remaining 7 gameweeks of the season and ensure we have a strong captain option for each week. Hence there's a case for picking your captains and working backwards from that to make your wildcard squad.

I believe Lukaku offers the standout captaincy in DGW34. WBA at home and West ham away at the poison dome, sorry, olympic stadium, makes him the no. 1 choice imo. He is nailed on to play 90 mins in both, and utd have no rotation concerns after going out of europe.

Firmino is never going to be captained ahead of Salah. So that reduces his ability to hurt non-owners. He has been averaging about 7ppg recently, which is great value, but does it make him essential for the remaining 7 gameweeks of the season? I don't believe it does.

For those with a free hit, I think the decision to remove Firmino is even easier, as you can own him for GW35. So thats only 6 gameweeks without Firmino:

pal, eve, BOU, STO, che, BRI

compared to 8 fixtures for Lukaku:

SWA, mnc, WBA & whu, ARS & bou, bri, WAT

Add in the rotation pressure of the 2 champions league legs with city that firmino will have (which will cannabilise his minutes), and the fact he potentially has 2 matches with Brazil this week and next, and I'm leaning more and more towards thanking Bobby for his fine work this season and waving him goodbye.

a good read. I'm in the camp of bringing in Lukaku for 34 and waving goodbye to Firmino then. The Man city game in 33 is a fly in the ointment for me when Liverpool have Everton away and fancy Firmino to outscore Lukaku that week.

Yeah its a poor fixture for Lukaku. But that game falls slap bang in the middle of the 2 city european matches and Klopp has already been moaning they won't get enough recovery time for a lunchtime kickoff so I'm not convinced Firmino plays much more than an hour anyway. I'm happy to take my chances that particular gameweek

Do you mean a direct Firmino v Vardy comparison?

            Firmino this season: 5.26 ppg
            Vardy this season: 4.35 ppg

Assuming they score at this rate, assuming you have a free hit to play Firmino in GW35, (meaning only 6 gameweeks without Firmino):

            Firmino 5.26 * 6 = 31.56 points
            Vardy 4.35 * 8 = 34.80 points

According to this crude analysis, Vardy edges it. Especially if you are only now, or recently have bought Firmino for his higher price.

I got him before his recent price rise (9.6m). Its been very scary without him but with rotation maybe on the horizon for UCL, I think there is better value elsewhere for the people who haven't owned Firmino.

The Vardy + 1.0m is getting my midfield looking tasty (power 5) and enables me to upgrade a budget def to semi premium (5.4m)

The problem is, where do i find 2.2mil difference. I would have to downgrade one of my 5 mid, Willian, Son, Salah, Dilva, Mahrez. Alonso, Smalling & De gea are staying definitely, and Auba. So i would have to downgrade one of those 5.

        Current strategy:

Auba, Firmino (staying) & Murray on GW32WC

        GW33 - save FT
DGW34 - Firmino > Lukaku or Vardy and BB
        BGW35 - FH
        GW36 - save FT
GW37 - decide on striker in the Vardy/Lukaku slot based on form and fixtures Morata might be in fire by then - TC chip

My strike force for GW32 is Firmino. Auba. King.

Solid front three for this week.

There is so much factors to consider that I am grateful that I am not WC till GW33.
I would hope we know more about Kane by then so I can plan on how to get him in.

Lukaku for me is a none starter.
Firmino has to stay in my team for as long as possible as I brought him at 8.5.

        But in short.
I have no idea what front three I'll be going with when I do WC

Even though I got Firmino early and have a lot tied up in him I think he is the one to let go.

Liverpool have got 2 midweek CL games against Man City coming up and I can see an awful lot of rotation from both teams around those fixtures.

I think I'm going Auba, Firmino and Murray. Auba has nice fixtures and should play every league game. Firmino is in great form and has good fixtures. I may decide to get Lukaku/Kane (when fit)/Vardy for the DGW. I trust Murray to perform over the next few weeks given how crucial the next few games are for Brighton. If I want to get Kane or Lukaku in I'll downgrade Alonso or a premium midfielder.

Current plan with all chips in play and presuming Kane is back by GW36:

GW32 - WC frontline of Auba, Firmino (keeping) & Barnes
        GW33 - Save FT
        DGW34 - Firmino > Vardy
        BGW35 - FH
        GW36 - Auba > Kane
        GW37 - Barnes > Lukaku, TC
        GW38 - BB

        Aubameyang, Firmino, Barnes,

Going with Lukaku, Aubameyang and Firmino for now. Have left myself with options so I can get Kane in two transfers if and when he's fit.

I just fancy Lukaku to go on one of his runs; he's looked a completely different player the last month and he's a well known flat-track bully.

Aubameyang has the fixtures and is nailed...Arsenal tend to finish the season strongly.

Firmino stays for me; it would be daft to get rid of him in this form. I've hampered my team for weeks focusing on blank weeks and doubles so I'm going to stick with the old adage of form and fixtures, and none are hotter than Liverpool attacking assets right now. I'd perhaps consider Vardy in 37 but for now and 34 I'm keeping Bobby.

Those with all chips: Lukaku (possible to carry firmino 32-33), Auba (possible to switch to Kane for 37), Murray

Those without TC: Vardy (carry Firmino 32-33), Auba, Murray/Barnes (depending on whether 5th mid has a game 35)
        - This is based on freehitting in 37, which I think is most sensible for those without TC.

        Those without FH:
Firmino (nice fix + game 35), Auba (nice fix + double 34 and game 35), Murray (to cover doubles in 34 and 37)

        Others:
        Firmino, Auba, Vardy
        - Basically prioritizing form and fixtures over number of games for the remainding games of the season.

Firminoconuncrum: Should be a shout to stay no matter how many chips you've got left. whether he should or not is complicated maths, especially when he can be carried for 32-33.

Kane: Don't plan for 34 unless a lot of new info on his injury arrives during the internationals. Having 2 free's ist not enough as youd either need to bank a lot of money or be willing to part with players who are sensible for the dgws. Only those who wc 33 or 34 might get enough info to make a senible move for Kane without much hassle.

Lukaku and Aubameyang must haves as long as Kane is out.

So those people with Free Hit are you considering to keep or sell Firmino? (Since you don’t have to plan for 35)

Vardy/Kaku can easily match him from GW32-34. They have one extra fixture and no Europe.

And wouldn’t you anyway want a DGW striker for 34 or you will keep Firmino that week also? If you do want another striker for that week is Firmino really a better option in 32-33 than others available?

What are your thoughts on Firmino starting every game from GW32-34 & CL (5 matches in 14 days?)

Not a City fan but with Toure, Foden & Gundg there’s a good chance Silva could be rested for one of the CL ties but more likely to be rested after they wrap up the title. Pep will surely give these players some minutes.

I think Gomez, Robertson, Ox and Mane are the ones who will rotate in and out with the counterparts.

I'd not be getting Silva in on my WC. That's all I can say.

I think people are just getting him because his cheaper price than other City mids are letting them have a good WC team. They're willing to probably sacrifice nailedonness for that.

its sterling for me, even if hes on bench pep know that he has a genuine massive goalscoring threat that can change the game in 20-30 mins ....all about his stats inside the box ! way better than the other 2

Got silva in last night for the WC because I have no city coverage.

I am worried about his minutes but for now I think he's guaranteed to play. City need 2 results against Everton and Utd and he will be pivotal to those games.

Afterwards I may swap for willian and pump the extra mil back into defence via a transfer

He'll play Everton as no other priorities then ....and can't see him missing the Manchester Derby.

BTW re the Everton away match - Silva's last four away scores have been 16,8,16,8.

Should be fine until GW35. Has a run of 3 starts now.

I think it's more likely D Silva would be allowed leave to be with his family once City have secured the title - I won't be getting him for that reason.

Then we will curse him roundly and call him a cad, a bounder and an unworthy gentleman of questionable parentage.

Looks like Kenedy will have terrible DGW fixtures though.

I activated as I did such a successful job of dead ending my team with absolute dross. 😉

There is no way I could carry that bench of reprobates into another Gameweek.

We know which teams have double fixtures...Just a question of when - although would be a huge surprise if not GWK 34 and 37.

Dude, random doubles all over the place and no blank would be the most hilarious thing to happen on here since ... umm ... well we don’t talk about that any more and the threads are locked ... 🙂
