After starting our series of members’ articles on Wildcard targets with a look at Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, our sights turn to another in-demand frontman.

With Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero currently nursing injuries, Romelu Lukaku’s recent resurgence has not gone unnoticed by Fantasy Premier League managers.

Three goals and a pair of assists in the last five Gameweeks, allied with a trio of strikes over four cup outings in the same timeframe, means that the Man United striker is the second most bought player in FPL ahead of Gameweek 32.

Following a barren autumn period, Lukaku seems to have stepped up his output following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez.

With two double Gameweeks anticipated for the Red Devils, can the Belgian claim a place in our frontlines for the run-in?

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Hi guys in need of a touch of direction see if I’m on the correct path.... currently on wildcard... still have B.B. and triple captain but no free hit left.... what’s best plan of action???

Set your team up to cover 35 but target either 34 or 37 to maximise dgwk players for BB, and TC in the other. Personally I always prefer BB in the earlier of the two doubles as potentially less rotation.

Well, the WC team has stayed like this for a good few days, although can't help but feel something needs to change, must be through seeing so many other teams getting some good feedback.

Anything glaringly obvious to change here? 0.1 ITB

    DDG
    Otamendi - Alonso - Robertson
    Son - Mahrez - Salah - D.Silva - Willian
    Aubameyang - Firmino

Aware of all the 'if City wrap the league up stuff and rotation, so still undecided on Ota & D.Silva.

      1. GS456
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 1 month ago

Well im just thinking of the most efficient way to use the 34 transfers as the free hit in 35 cancels them out...

More spurs looks essential from 36 onwards (starting with watford at home)

but we are going to need and want alot of our original wildcard teams in 34 anyway....

So barring injuries/form its hard to see at the minute where the 2fts can be spent.......

So after reading this article I decided to give a Lukaku draft a chance.

    I decided Auba > Kaku
And then had to be Mustafi to Naughton leaving Swans double defence and no Arsenal with those nice fixtures.
I think it looks good but triple Swans + Ryan for a possible 34 BB 🙂
And not of lot of Kane in options down the line.

    DeGea Ryan

    Alonso Jones Morgan Naughton Fernandez

Salah Mahrez Son Willian A. King

    Lukakau Firminio Vardy

    A) Get Barnes as 3rd forward, if you think he's nailed, and use a transfer to ditch him for JAyew just before the double in 34?

    B) Get JAyew now, who's suspended till gw33 and can't help me from the bench if needed, but save a transfer by already having him in for dgw34?

besides the 34 bench boost he (barnes) will likely be on my bench anyway.

only read the first part haha

depends if you are playing Barnes in the next 2 weeks. If not and like my he will remain on the bench then getting Ayew now seems sensible...but price drops and no forward option on the bench makes it more difficult.

    Two quick Q's:

I ssem to be seeing a lot of teams booting Pope out and instead having a Burnlet defender and Fabs as a back up keeper. So.......

    1) I Pope or Fabianski the better bench keeper to have?

    2) Is Lowton nailed for Burnley?

Fab is nailed, Pope isn't really with Heaton now fit. Having said that it will depend when you BB and what the fixtures are. It could be that Ryan may be the best, or even McCarthy.

I've seen so many RMTs this week and very very few have even one of Hazard, Eriksen, Sanchez, Gross or Maguire and I have all five lol.
Just call me the FFS anti-wildcarder 🙂

I am also playing with something similar currently but lack of fixtures is boring me

I wildcarded in 25 as I was going nowhere at the million mark. Have halved my rank since but still nothing to be excited about rank wise after a horrible season! Fun time now for the run in with punts galore 🙂

Been a wild season absolute shocker. Desperate to break the template for some enjoyment so we may end up very similarly
