We continue our series of Monitor members’ articles on Gameweek 34 targets by assessing Brighton and Hove Albion schemer, Pascal Gross.

Although Mohamed Salah has redefined the term “successful debut season”, the German’s rookie campaign deserves its share of recognition.

Following a summer arrival from FC Ingolstadt, Gross has proven himself a standout candidate among budget midfield options. The playmaker has quickly earned a reputation as a premium creative force at the Premier League level, racking up some of the most impressive creativity metrics of any player.

Moreover, with two Double Gameweeks – one confirmed for Gameweek 34, and the latter expected to fall in or around Gameweek 37 – still to come this season, Gross is set to remain at the forefront of plans, with or without the Wildcard at our disposal.

heading into the remaining weeks with my free hit chip and my triple captain only - no wildcard.

    pope - adrian
    alonso - vvd - chilwell - schindler - baeur
    salajh - mahrez - ramsey - stanislas - shaq
    firmino - wilson - quaner

    1ft - 7.7 ITB

    any transfer suggestions moving forward?

      Schindler >> Bailly or Vertonghen?

yeah im thinking of doing wilson > lukaku and that gives me enough to upgrade shaq > willian/son for -4.

definitely need some man u defence in there, so will look to move vvd in future weeks i reckon

Week 2, WC pretty much settled now. 0.0ITB. Plan is Auba+Kenedy >> Vardy+Gross for BB DGW34.

    Looking solid? Cheers 🙂

    DDG • Ryan
    Alonso • Mustafi • Bailly • Lowton • Chilwell
    Salah • Mahrez • Son • Willian • Kenedy
    Lukaku • Aubameyang • Barnes

I hate you! I want that exact team but I must have been 0.1 off on TV and can't afford it. Bailly vs Vert is the real question I suppose.. would be easy for Bailly to be rotated/rested

Yeah true mate. I may go Vert with DDG in nets. Tough call. I was 0.1 off the team above with Morgan in so had to drop to Chilwell. Stats actually look good in the members area though. If you have dropped to Chilwell too you could always drop Ryan > McCarthy for the 0.1m? Soton's second double is better than Brightons anyways.

Got DDG and Ryan on WC for BB in GW34, however straight after GW34 I'm going to sell Ryan for a 3.9 and use the extra 0.6 in building for a really strong GW37. Given I'm going to be doing this anyway, and since I've got 0.5 ITB, is it a good idea to get DDG and Schmeichel and do the same with Scheichmel?

Would give me 0.0 ITB instead of 0.5 ITB but Leicester have much better DGW fixtures (Burnley away and Southampton home) compared to Brighton (Palace away and Spurs home)

It could work, but its an extra transfer you gotta use on a keeper and won't be on a DGW37 player since you'll alrady have DDG. So is 0.6m worth the -4 hit?

      1. QuintonFortune25
        • 9 Years
        7 years, 11 months ago

As im chasing a lead im thinking about going all out attack with Lukaku, Auba and Kane in GW37, so to fund Barnes to Kane I'm going to need to find every penny available and therefore get a few non-playing cheap players. It's probably not for a hit if playing sensible but need to take these kind of risks now
