We continue our series of Monitor members’ articles on Gameweek 34 targets by assessing Brighton and Hove Albion schemer, Pascal Gross.

Although Mohamed Salah has redefined the term “successful debut season”, the German’s rookie campaign deserves its share of recognition.

Following a summer arrival from FC Ingolstadt, Gross has proven himself a standout candidate among budget midfield options. The playmaker has quickly earned a reputation as a premium creative force at the Premier League level, racking up some of the most impressive creativity metrics of any player.

Moreover, with two Double Gameweeks – one confirmed for Gameweek 34, and the latter expected to fall in or around Gameweek 37 – still to come this season, Gross is set to remain at the forefront of plans, with or without the Wildcard at our disposal.

What will your front 3 be like from GW36 to the end?

    Kane (37 TC) - Lukaku ? - ? -

      Kane Firmino Barnes for gw36
Kane Vardy Rashford for gw37 is my plan.
But a lot could change between now and then

A lot easier if you have chips, unlike me. Just bench boost left. Lots of hits

Clyne on the mend. Might feature in a Prem game or two with TAA needed in Europe.

      Not essential in the slightest.

An interesting pick, sure, but no DGWs. Can see Liverpool conceding vs. Bournemouth in GW34 too, even if he is just BB fodder.

      Decent ceiling though!

    Bottomed last page.

This lot good enough for gw34? Not using bench boost.

    Ryan
    Vvd Maguire Lowton
    Salah Mahrez Son Willian
    Lukaku Firmino Barnes

    Adrian Sane Schindler Francis

    Cheers all

    DDG / Ryan
    Alonso / Bailly / Lowton / Morgan / [VDH/Fernandez]
    Salah / Mahrez / Son / Willian / Cork
    Aubameyang / Firmino / Vardy

0.7 ITB (0.8 if I go with VDH).

    Any changes?

    A) Lukaku now, or for GW34?
    B) Who to lose for Lukaku, when the time comes?

Any better 4.4 option for a defender. Ideally with a good GW34 fixture as I plan to BB then.

Can't afford him (he's 5.6m); don't want him at that price anyway, since it's not like Leicester have been keeping -loads- or CSs.

Alonso is worth the outlay (at least on his day).

Sterling has played most league games; typically plays on the other side of Sané. That alone is not a reason, but rotation with B. Silva, Aguero & Jesus is the main worry (and not great fixtures over the next three).

I'm just astounded how they thought they would not be caught. It's a televised match and you're standing out in bright white clothes, in the middle of pitch.

All just to get a dodgy ball bounce. Ridiculous.

They are the only country that are stupid enough to have been caught. All the other countries probably do it but the added arrogance of the aussies makes it seem worse.

It's a disgrace tbh and it's across all sports, I dunno how you can feel right winning matches when you know you've taken illegal substances, altered whatever etc. As for punishments I don't even think it's harsh to ban people for life, then you'd hope people wouldn't even consider risking it

Absolutely. Can't say whether Gomez will back yet, though. However, there are still other ~4.4m options with a GW35 fixture:

      - Kiko Femenia (CRY)
      - Dummett/Yedlin (EVE)
      - Lowton (STK)
      - Tomkins (WAT)
      - Van der Hoorn (MCI)
      - Masuaku/Ogbonna (ARS)

Some fixtures better than others, but plenty at that price point who can play.

      • 14 Years

Downgrade Vardy to Murray and see what it does to your defence. Murray has better next 2 fixtures and can be changed to Austin for the double if wanted. Expensive forwards are only worth it if they are your captain or have excellent form/fixtures. If you are bench boosting the premium defenders are some of the best value players in the game and are being massively overlooked on wildcards.
