We continue our series of Monitor members’ articles on Gameweek 34 targets by assessing Brighton and Hove Albion schemer, Pascal Gross.

Although Mohamed Salah has redefined the term “successful debut season”, the German’s rookie campaign deserves its share of recognition.

Following a summer arrival from FC Ingolstadt, Gross has proven himself a standout candidate among budget midfield options. The playmaker has quickly earned a reputation as a premium creative force at the Premier League level, racking up some of the most impressive creativity metrics of any player.

Moreover, with two Double Gameweeks – one confirmed for Gameweek 34, and the latter expected to fall in or around Gameweek 37 – still to come this season, Gross is set to remain at the forefront of plans, with or without the Wildcard at our disposal.

Hiya lads, bit of help here if you could please? I have no FH chip left, so just trying to target more players that have 2 DGW's.

For reference, team is:

DDG - XXX
XXX - Alonso - XXX - Morgan - Lowton
Son - Salah - XXX - Mahrez - Willian
Firmino - Aubameyang

Which option from these two would you prefer?

A) Pope - Otamendi - Robertson - D.Silva
(This is what i currently have)

B) Lloris - Bailly - Mustafi - Gudmundsson
(This leaves 2.1 ITB! leaning towards this more)

Just a bit concerned about Pope & Heaton situation, and the Otamendi and Silva rotation show.

Any responses much appreciated.

      Hate the idea of having to consequently bench a 5.5 goalie. So A. Also DDG-LLoris does'nt have games in 35 which mean your setting yourself up to make a transfer.
      
      You don't have FH but your on WC now. Not including the xxx's youve currently got 4 players playing in 35. I'd look to make some changes in regards to that if I was you.

        Lloris can be used in 34 as bench boost. That's 11 dgw'ers.
        Not having a keeper in 35 is fine i reckon.
        
        Would have 7 players in 35 with option B, 9 with option A. 35 is not the week i'm building my team for, it's the DGW's.

        I get that. But points are being distribueres every gw.
        I believe ist possible for you to have 8 dgweekers in 34, 11 players 35, and 14 in 37. And in doing so you'll have a better squad the other gws aswell.
        
        That strategy means: 19+11+29= 59 players in total.
        If your plan is to BB with 11dgweekers in 34, then having 7 players 35 and 11 dgweekers in 37, then that means: 25+7+22= 54

  As for the others, Eriksen vs. Son is going to be interesting - Eriksen has always been my Spurs mid of choice, so much so that I've never owned Son and I only had Alli when he was 5m in 2015/16. But I'm going Son from now on just because of funds.

Erm, you do realize that all teams (except Burnley) have the same number of games from now until GW 36, right?

The only difference is that ones will have 2 games in one week and blank in the following and the others will have regular games without blank.

So it's not really matter if you have more double gameweekers or those with a fixture in GW 35. It's the same.

  No FH either and they have good fixtures but I just don't see Mkhi playing enough minutes considering the EL and not overly interested in a defender. So its just Auba for me atm but will prob get one more in for GW35 when it comes round.

Not convinced by Willian so might go with Alonso as my sole Chelseaxrep. Upgrading Gross to that 4th midfield spot and bringing in Cork A’s bench fodder gets me the Auba, Firmino, Vardy frontline. What we saying to it?

  Personally feel one of Mahrez or Vardy should suffice, little bit of a risk going with both, but if ya don't fancy any other players then go for it 🙂
  Also think Willian is in red hot form and will continue to do well.

Edging towards C as the Burnley player will effectively only play GW34 and 36, so the extra cash could be very useful to fund the Auba > Lukaku swap in GW34.

Looks decent to me actually, given low team value. Suppose it depends how much ground I want to make up and how much I’m happy consolidating my position.

  Have had it since I wildcarded in GW25 with some success, bar Sanchez, including Hazard's 32(C) pointer.
  I won't sell Sanchez until after the DGW now, but dont think that I'd bring him in on wildcard or buy him if I'm honest.
