Wildcards are very much active among the ScoutCast crew, and while only three of us make this latest episode, all five are in play ahead of the Double Gameweeks.

Not surprisingly, our rebuilding programme dominates the discussion as Jonty and Andy join me to reveal our current squads and our chosen strategy leading into the remaining seven Gameweeks.

In an exhaustive and in-depth episode, the three of us also look back on the success of the Free Hit in Gameweek 31. Then we attempt to offer a balanced view on the variety of chip tactics from this point on, with a team-by-team analysis of the player targets to consider.

We fail miserably of course, with our own bias no doubt shining through, though the conclusion is an uplifting one: whatever your chosen route with the chips to Gameweek 38, we will all win out in the end.

Unless you don’t have your Wildcard and Free Hit, in which case you’re now consigned to spending the next two months behind the sofa and hate us all anyway.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Lots of panicking about Kanes return...

As good as he is he’s had 1 double digit return in last 10Gws

Spread the funds & have fun!!

I think you can ignore Kane until GW36 considering the fixtures and the alternative options.

I'm not sure, he might take some time to get back to full speed and have his minutes managed. I'm just looking at the double though - Aubameyang for 32 and 33 then Lukaku for 34.

Dear Premier League, Sky Sports, BT Sport.

Further to our recent correspondence (https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2018/03/20/the-digest-gameweek-31-5/?hc_page=10#hc_comment_17851271), many thanks for taking on board to comments made in assigning a truly dreadful set of Bench Boostable fixtures in GW34, incredible work, much appreciation.

However, one slight issue has caught my attention - the lack of a worthy triple captainable option in said GW.

Whilst I am greatly appreciative of your hilarious tactic to postpone delivery of the final DGW schedule until c. 3rd April, it would be delightfully bold of you to offer up a further morsel, soon after the close of the GW32 deadline to us unbe'WC'ers (so helplessly stranded in this heaving tide of near-identical RMWCT's for an unhealthy fortnights duration - Virg has nearly cracked twice).

May I take the liberty of suggesting confirmation of a DGW36 for Tottenham Hotspur, comprising Home matches versus Watford and Newcastle Utd. As before, the scenes on these pages would be a delight to behold!

    Sincerely,
    Legomané Schadenfreude

(P.s. As before, if you are in full agreement of the above please lend a +1 to the cause. Please note any disgruntled responses below. BW, x)

Just wondering if we've all been overthinking the "One eye on Bench Boost" WC squad selection.

Is the best strategy simply to use Bench Boost in a GW where all 8 of your midfielders and strikers have strong fixtures?

Look at Matt Ryan. 3 of his DGW fixtures- TOT, MUN, mci- are terrible, and unlikely to bring him clean sheet points. Players from Swansea, Burnley and Newcastle are also popular targets, yet only Swansea have a decent double to come. If their match with Chelsea falls in GW36 instead of GW37, that diminishes even their appeal.

So if we were to assume that points totals for bench fodder in a Bench Boosted week will be low, this could change the strategy. Instead of having Murray/Barnes/Ayew, go for Vardy and/or Firmino, plus 2 of the premium strikers, and get a better 5th midfielder than Kenedy/Gudmondsson.

It's a fair point but dgw's are funny, you get weird results and rubbish players can do well

Thsts my thinking but WC 33 so have some time. We will see what tactic will bring more points. Think that Mariappa and King are great picks for WC. Even if BB.

Anyone beginning to lose the point of Son now.

With kane coming back maybe even by gw33 means Son is only really guaranteed vs Che . Then he's at risk of rotation when he moves back to his normal position.

    A) Smalling (Scared of rotation, have DDG)
    B) Mustafi (Rotation + have to use 2 FT to get 14 DGW for GW34, other one is Auba > Lukaku)

    DDG, Hennessey

    Smalling,Marriapa, Lowton, Morgan, Robertson

    Salah, Mahrez, Arnautovic, Mkhitaryan, Gudmundsson

    Lukaku, Firmino, Aubameyang

Currently 7 DGW for BB in 34, 8 with my FT but I look healthy for 35

Front 8 is absolutely amazing but the problem is the defence is complete rubbish.

More often than not the big scores come from defenders in DGWs.

DDG has double. Hennessey has BHA at home

Smalling, Morgan and Lowton have doubles. Robertson has BOU at home and Marriapa has hud away.

Not that bad. Spurs/Che defender maybe could improve that

      Alonso and Stephens.
Christensen is a pain, and Vert i just feel isn’t worth 6.0m.

He's not until we see if Yoshi replaces him or Hoedt or forms a back 3

Probably first choice at the mo. Him and Hoedt preferred. With a new manager I don’t think anybody knows unfortunately pal.

Booking too many transfers can easily backfire. Take that as you will

Anyone closely monitoring Alderweireld? At 5.8 he’s a great option
