Summer arrival Mohamed Salah may have dominated the Fantasy scene on Merseyside, but the Egyptian is not the only player to have enjoyed a sterling season under Jurgen Klopp.

Roberto Firmino has been near metronomic in his consistency throughout the campaign, dispelling any notion that a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) re-classification (from midfielder to forward) would negatively impact his value.

Indeed, in his first year as an FPL striker, the Brazilian currently ranks third in overall points – a mere four points behind Fantasy royalty, Sergio Aguero.

Firmino’s Premier League track record is a formidable one, having recorded double-digit goals in every one of his Premier League campaigns to date. This year, however, the Liverpool attacker has elevated his goal threat to another level: a total of 14 strikes is already a career high, and his strike rate sits at an all-time peak.

Even so, we now found Firmino suffering heavy sales with managers now distracted by Double Gameweek striker options. The Brazilian is the most transferred out player ahead of Gameweek 33, with over 61,000 already disposing of his services.

Does Firmino’s form justify that exodus or is there a risk that he could immediately punish his doubters? Our latest Monitor article examines the data to assess the outlook.

Who is planning to TC GW34 and BB GW37. Seems the better option to me, but everyone on here seems to be considering the reverse.

Its about how many certain starters you have in each week. Suspicion is less motivation and more rotation in 37.

      Plus kane tc seems tasty.

Why is the better option? (question not criticism)

Me. TC Lukaku in GW34 (probably), BB in 37 with Kane as Captain.

      - No good TC option in GW37.
      - More rotation in GW37, meaning a bench boost is less valuable.
      - More uncertainty surrounding GW37 (won't know who has anything to play for), whereas GW34 is a sure thing (and most of us are picking our WCs now, although I realise some are WCing in GW36).
      - Herd mentality.

I mean no good TC option in GW34, Kane TC in GW37 looks great.

I just think there are more better options for DGW players GW37. Only time will tell.

But you are correct, there is no clear TC option GW34. Been saving it all this time, and i'll probably have to play it on Mahrez or Vardy.

I will rather TC Sanchez in GW34 and enjoy actually good double fixtrues for lesser teams like Swansea in GW37 when I BB compared to those that BB Brighton and Burnley players in GW34 just because that's the move when you WC in GW32/33.

I am not sure I should feel more scared of rotation in GW37 when I WC in GW36 compared to those who WC'ed in GW32/33. You are all afraid of Lingard, Son, Willian, Alonso and so on in GW34 if I am not mistaken.

Actually I think, that if you WC in GW36 you do know who is still fighting for something, and you'll be able to make a deadly BB squad for GW37.

Still haven't decided. I think I'll have the same number of DGW players for both. Risk with saving the DGW to 37 is around rotation for those clubs with nothing to gain or lose so close to the end of the season (or those that progress to finals)

The bench boost is poor in 34, and even with the risk of rotation there is a much better choice in 37 (if the fixtures go there).

Having 15 double game week players in 37 will actually help with rotation, yes you may miss a few games but you are choosing a squad of players rather than just a bench ... because there is just one game week left after 37 you can down grade one premium player actually spread the cash and get a fantastic bench that is not fodder at all - I will not really be able to say which players of my 15 would actually be the bench 🙂

with CL place 99% locked for spurs, with Kane so pivotal for the England world cup team, should we not be afraid that kane, just coming back from injury, will be less assured of 90 minutes every game?

what is really the point of risking him in every game?

    1. Pochecinno

      1) FA Cup - he needs to be sharp and match fit

      2) Golden boot - don't underestimate how much Kane wants it. Remember how crazy he went at the end of last season.

    reasons why not ?

    1. #FPLBhuna
      • 9 Years

I reckon Simpson is a safer choice than Chilwell but as Chilwell has proved he has greater attacking potential. I do feel Chilwell is always prone to rotation with Fuchs lurking. Don't feel there is the same rotation threat with Danny. Amartey is not an out and out RB and was only played as cover. R.E. Morgan - too dullard for me. Safer choice but a boring choice.

This might sound a bit out of te box, but with the growing incertainty about the chelsea backline and though Chelsea's fixture are hard to ignore, I am wondering if 33WCders could eventually find an edge over 32WCers who have loaded on Alonso and Azpi by actually taking the Courtois route especially for the Bench Boost.

Instead of going Christensen - Azpi or Alonso, I am contemplating a DDG/courtois combo for the BB34

I'm not too much worried about the "lost value" of another 2nd premium keeper as I will use FH on 35 and plan to use 2FT + 1 hit on GW37. Courtois could be used as a 5.4 --> 3.9 fund lever

Thoughts on these -4’s over the next 2 weeks?

    Auba > Lukaku

ive been mulling over pretty much the same moves but im really on the fence - son and firmino + 4 could really outscore the players being brought in, there is a mins issue with firmino tho, very tough decision.

The fact that it would help in getting Kane and Lukaku for 34 is the one thing that is making me still consider this move. The four fixtures they play over 34 could cover the -8 taken over the two weeks.

Not being much help i realize, just in the same boat as you. will decide tomorrow
