In a season that has thrown up a number of surprises, some solace can be taken in the predictable. After dominating the midfield scoring charts in 2016/17, with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min all among the top ten scoring midfielders in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Spurs’ dynamic trio are at it again.

All three once more sit near the summit of the positional scoring charts, ranking fifth, sixth and seventh in the midfield rankings. Amazingly, after 32 Gameweeks, there are just nine points between them, highlighting the fine margins that have separated these players throughout the current campaign.

In recent weeks, however, it has been Alli who has come to the fore – staking a claim to significant Fantasy interest ahead of a pair of Double Gameweeks to close out the year.

Is Alli’s recent form enough to earn him favour over Spurs’ other midfield options – or will one of Son or Eriksen emerge as the superior asset during FPL’s final Gameweeks?

In our latest members’ Monitor article, we crunch the Opta data for an answer.

    For gw34:

    A. Kane + Lingard (Have Son)
    Or
    B. Lukaku + Gross + 4 points

Naa, provided Salah is fit(which he'll be imo), I'm torn between:

        A. Auba+Bailly+Gross to Kane+Lingard+Smalling or a cheap def (-4)
        Or
        B. Auba+Gross to Kaku+Gudm for free and then Kane in for Kaku in 36.

Is it a dumb move to go without Liverpool, if it turns out that Salah is out for the next game?

    Thinking of:
    DDG - Ryan
    Christensen - Naughton - Tark - Lowton - Chilwell
    Son - Willian - Mahrez - Lingard - King
    Vardy - Auba - Kane

    Auba to Lukaku before DGW

Son did also benefit from Kane injury immediately. Alli has not been as good this year as before, but might be finding form now.

        I was wondering that. Kane was out or limited minutes in GW10 (-), GW22 (1G), GW30 (1G/1A), GW32 (2G).
Total 8G/12A so half his goals from 3 games absent Kane.

        thought the same.
the positions where Alli is dangerous is normally for Kane to be.
When Kane is out, Son drifts from the middle and opens for Alli.

IMO Son is the one keeping his points with or without Kane

Guessing he means cos City couldn’t seem to score against ‘Pool so DDG may keep a CS in addition to the save points he’s bound to get

No, Huddersfield have failed to score in 12 out of 16 away games. They've played everyone away from home apart from Brighton, Man City and Chelsea and only managed to score against Palace, Watford, Southampton and West Brom in GWs 1, 18, 19 and 28.

No. Huddersfield are toothless in front of goal. That's why Brighton have clean sheet odds of 53% this week. Lump on, I'd be playing 5 Brighton defenders if I could 😆

Absolute headache. Robertson might have been if yesterday hadn't been 3-0. Maybe plan according to your other players and rotation and save some money for a rainy day. Lascelles for gw37 is one option and check Burnley assets if you need for dgw34.

Forget 35 - put your eggs in the 34 basket.

If Salah starts against City do we think he’ll start in GW34?

Im in the same situation but I decided to wait till gw36. You have 6 players that u would want back in gw35.

Vvd, tark, salah, sterling, (shaqiri maybe), firminho, auba

Read a few posts about people wanted to get rid of Salah...is it not madness considering some of the home fixtures coming up ? Or does it make more sense considering Liverpool likely progress in c1 . Thoughts ? Thanks 🙂

            Presser
1 out for few games - out of my tram
2 just late check before weekend game - he stays as we have nice bench

            No panic

It is madness. People will regret it though. Let them do it 🙂

Perhaps but think of the smugness if it pays off.
Allows many people to get kane/lingard or similar who could easily gain 20pts in next 2 game weeks over say firmino/salah.

Degrees of 'nailed-ness' on here & other FPL forums is my pet peeve.

Either a player is 'nailed' or they are not.

I get that it's easier to use the description as such, but it pains me even when I write it myself!

You’ve got Christensen which isn’t a good sign.

He asked for the template... Of course he could find a way to include Vardy in his team.

Should have Kane plan as well.

Who would you rather own this week?

          a) Lukaku

          b) Vardy

          c) Kane (-4)
