Recorded prior to Mohamed Salah’s injury scare, the ScoutCast crew already had one curveball to contend with in this latest episode as we mulled over Harry Kane solutions.

Fit-again and primed to skittle the Stoke City defence, Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me to discuss how we go about making plans for Harry ahead of two tempting Double Gameweeks.

Elsewhere in this episode, your community questions steer us to consider the optimum front three, assess Chelsea’s shaky confidence and weigh up the fixtures versus form conundrum that is Marko Arnautovic.

The regular weekend preview is then followed by an extraordinary bout of mind games from Jonty, who appears to have tap into the dark arts to prophesise Salah’s injury two days early. That would explain his rank this season; there’s been voodoo at work.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

They're unrelated, see it more as how Wenger sees the 2nd leg. He should judge the margin of victory as a measure of how many 1st teamers he plays v Saints - bigger = more - but he is very protective of Rambo atm and he must think they can win the EL so don't expect him nailed at all in PL games.

I think Ozil will be more close to nailed on with Mkhi out. Can't field a team with Auba Laca Welbeck and Wilshere front 4,Ozil's creativity is important.

I think Ozil is the only Arsenal mid who's safe. They simply can't line up without him. It's been this way all season.

    Does the following seem reasonable:

    GW33 - Mane & Stanislas > Mahrez & Willian for a hit
    GW34 - Firmino & Auba > Kane & Vardy for a hit
    GW35 - WC (no FH)

    On a WC. Better option?

    A) Davies+Alli+Vardy+2.5m
    B) Morgan+Alli+Kane

prefer Eriksen in place of Alli but that will leave me short to do Auba>Lukaku next GW.

    Team at the moment:
    DDG/Ryan
    Christensen, Monreal, Lowton, Chillwell, Davies*
    Mahrez, Son, Salah*, Willian, Gross
    Auba, Barnes, Vardy*

When I was wildcarding last week, the plan was to do Auba->Lukaku just before dgw34.
Even when Kane came on and played vs CHE I kept thinking I'd prefer Lukaku in 34.
Then Mkhi's injury occured and I'm overthinking in a different way.
Doing Mkhi->Lingard, hoping he brings some points to cover Lukaku in 34, while doing Auba->Kane just before dgw34.
Even if Lukaku came in 34 as per the original plan, it'd be just for that gw since I'll freehit in 35 and would want Kane from 36 till the end, so getting Kane in straight saves me a transfer.

    What's your opinion?

    Current team:

    Ryan
    Alonso Vertonghen Monreal Morgan
    Salah Mahrez(V) Son Willian
    Aubameyang(C) Vardy

    DeGea Barnes Tarkowski Mkhitaryan

I came to the same conclusion when I wildcarded last week. Choosing Lukaku over Kane is like taking a -4 if you are going to swap him out for Kane anyway.

Sensible option is to hold FT team look fine for this week. Barnes ok if Salah gets zero minutes.

If not Kane gamble on Lingard seems better to me.

Or the insane option I am doing and lose Salah and Barnes for Kane and cheapie this week. And still have cash for Auba to Lukaku next week
For the Kane Lukaku top line in 34 🙂

B for me. Mane vs. Firmino is a wash, Newcastle is underrated defensively, and Mahrez has bee outperforming his stats.

Think youre right 33 is fine as we have strong bench but if BB 34 it is a waste as Alli etc can score big

None - already sold him. He will not start v EVR and then is unlikely to be risked v BMT if Liverpud qualify for the CL semis.

I take the view that the dgw players will play two extra games than Salah so it is worth cutting ties now. Plus I have a FH chip so can get him in as necessary.
