Recorded prior to Mohamed Salah’s injury scare, the ScoutCast crew already had one curveball to contend with in this latest episode as we mulled over Harry Kane solutions.

Fit-again and primed to skittle the Stoke City defence, Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me to discuss how we go about making plans for Harry ahead of two tempting Double Gameweeks.

Elsewhere in this episode, your community questions steer us to consider the optimum front three, assess Chelsea’s shaky confidence and weigh up the fixtures versus form conundrum that is Marko Arnautovic.

The regular weekend preview is then followed by an extraordinary bout of mind games from Jonty, who appears to have tap into the dark arts to prophesise Salah’s injury two days early. That would explain his rank this season; there’s been voodoo at work.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Mkhi injury means a hit down the line for owners especially with Kane back and Salah worries

WCers reserving their FTs for GW34 for pre-planned transfers are always running the risk.

If you have pre-planned transfers and others get crocked, your plans either need to change, or you take hits. If you line up all your ducks in a row in advance, you then have leeway to use FTs on putting out fires without hits.

How is "lining up your ducks" any different than pre-planning transfers? They both involve the same type of planning as I see it. Things can always scuttle your plans - or your ducks. 🙂

Involve the same type of planning yes, but you don't have to use the FTs for those moves later on, you can use them for unforeseen things that invariably crop up. Not saying it's the wrong thing to do, just that it is a known risk.

Not so. You can leave the two transfers free to allow for unforseen injuries or players dropped or big players returning from injury. If you can't pick a team on a wc that can survive a week without a transfer there is something wrong

For me, it just means I play a defender instead of him this week (and possibly next if he doesnt return) and transfer as I would have done anyway in gw35 for a mci mid.

As FH34, BB37, is the following worth considering? -4

    OUT: Alonso and Mhiki
    IN: Vertonghen and Alli

Would leave me with 11 for 35. Kane in FH34 and then in again with 2FT in 36.

    Ryan / DDG

    Dunk / Mrgan / Christensen / Lowton / Vert

    Willian / Mahrez / Salah / Gross / Ibe

    Kane / Barnes / Auba

yeah he's a bit of a concern, but options are so limited in that bracket. I could go for Kennedy instead of him but he wouldn't have a double, but would save a transfer down the line

Yeah, not many good options with a double under 5.0. That's why I'm even considering Cork at 4.5! Should at least be guaranteed 4 points in 34.

    DDG Kenedy Morgan Lowton

    1. bench boost for every gamew…
      • 9 Years

Salah won´t play most likely so your first on bench will probably come in. If you believe Leicester concede Kenedy first, otherwise i would Morgan in front in the order of bench, if you believe them to keep a cleanie (Chilwell is there so you maybe think that by having Kenedy first, one of them at least could get more than 2 points?)
Ryan vs DDG is a difficult one, but everyone has that problem. City loss to Liverpool actually made me more unsure of Ryan pick myself but i tend to stick to what i initially thinks is the best choice, but it´s a tricky one for sure.

Guddie? Dyche almost ruled him out but you prob won´t need him so ok for the double i guess. other than that, good. Same conundrum as everyone with Ryan vs DDG.

Been having a little look at some forums for clubs and spotted couple of interesting things:

    1) Dyche said Mee was a doubt yesterday and Burnley forums seem unsure on the injury, some saying he'll play and some saying could be out for season. Do we think Long could be a bargain basement punt!?

    2) Most Chelsea fans have Emerson in their predicted line ups rather then Alonso. Nonsense or something in it?

    1. Garth Marenghi

All wc teams permutations of the usual suspects? Struggling to find the season run-in differential that will propel me up the rankings.

I've been looking at Eriksen and his ownership is less than Son's but it's all about whether that 1.1m extra for Eriksen is better spent elsewhere
