The ScoutCast crew are always quick to jump on the shoulders of giants, so when a veteran of the Fantasy Football Scout community starts to threaten a Fantasy Premier League title tilt, we just have to get them on the show.

Matt Kearney aka “Bowstring the Cap” has been about on our pages for seven seasons but never has he experienced one like this. Currently ranked twenty-third in the world, he drops by in this latest episode to offer his take on the campaign and, in particular, the strategy for the run-in.

In truth, Matt was better placed before Gameweek 33 and, along with Jonty, Andy and Az, he joins me to look back at the lowest scoring weekend of the campaign when even the leading managers faltered.

But those gripes are soon drowned by a wave of enthusiasm on the eve of Double Gameweek 34.

That’s the focus for your latest set of community questions, sparking our thoughts on the optimum heavy-hitters, the rotation fears and our confidence in Chelsea to produce over the extra fixtures.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    My major conundrum:

If we can get comfortable Salah will play, are there 7 attacking dgw players you would rather have than him?

No. I’m pretty comfortable he will play tbh as why wouldn’t he? If he gets a rest it makes sense to do it nearer to the semi’s. His rotation chances have been way out of proportion on here.

With the fact he plays Bournemouth Salah is as attractive as most DGW players.

Over the last 3 game weeks Auba has outscored Lukaku 28 points to 14 points ... effectively Lukaku is taking 2 games to match Auba’s points from one game .... is it really worth a -4 to bring in Lukaku for the doubles ?

When was the last time Mourinho rested his no.9 in a league game? Has never happened with Lukaku and pretty sure it didn't happen with Ibra last season. Not saying it can't happen but it's just as likely as Kane, Sanchez, or anyone else imo.

Not sure Utd have had an FA Cup semi 3 days after a league game or have been so ‘solid’ in 2nd place. But I agree and am not saying he will be benched, but I don’t think he will get 2 x 90 mins either, as has been the norm.

He got injured in one game, didn't play the next, and was once pulled after 76 minutes. Away from that he's not missed a minute. And United have had other important fixtures (and they used to have an alternative forward)

So i was originally planning on:
    Auba -> Kaku
But i think Kane could haul vs Brighton and getting him would save me a hit (and further transfers later on).
So that means i need to find a cheapie to replace Gross (max 4.9m).
Who would you suggest? I am currently looking at Hojbjerg and Gosling.

I'd maybe punt on Young or Matic.. noone in that price range is too likely to score but Man Utd players should hopefully get 2 lots of clean sheet points - Young sometimes gets attacking points (pretty rare but you never know)

I have 11 DGW players for this week (Including 2 keepers). And I already have 13 DGW players for GW 37, will be 14 or possibly even 15 when that GW comes around.

Obviously Bench Boost would be preferable for that week but the Triple captain is also more preferable that week! Concerns of rotation for Utd and Spurs players for the 2nd game of this DGW along with the fact that there aren't many other great triple captain shouts this GW (Possibly Mahrez or Vardy but that's even more risky!)

Any suggestions at what I should do?

    1. _Make
      • 9 Years

Bench boost is the best chip you have and you should maximise it. TC is a lottery and you could conceivably end up with nothing, or even minus points from it! So I would BB in 37. There are still plenty of good TC options this week.

I have no bloody idea what to do with my 2 transfers. I have no FH chip, so xferring out a GW35 player seems silly. I could do with getting Kane I feel.

    DDG, Hart*
    Alonso, Simpson, Lowton, Mustafi*, Robertson*
    Mahrez, Son, Gross, Gudmonson, Salah*
    Lukaku, Barnes, Auba*

Very tricky without FH. Would surely keep Salah and probably Auba as well. I'd want both for next week.

I would imagone it is probably best to roll 2 FT. No idea what I'd with 1ft though

Yeah exact same boat my cat is in (not a typo)

Set up wildcard to cover both but no Kane and the total demise of Chelsea have left him in all sorts of bother.

Yeah i thought about rolling an FT, but like you say, there's no single xfer I can think of doing.

i think its a 50/50 for kane with one good fixture. no doubt city has conceded rather much lately, but kane this season issnt like kane last season. auba with new away is a good shout since he will be rested and he has form. the only thing you have to content with is arsenals away form.

      Same boat unfortunately
I have just 5 players for GW 35
Mustfai - Lowton - Salah - Barnes and Dummett 🙁

Already took a hit to replace Mee, is it worth it to take another hit to replace Vardy with Lukaku?

Previous hits doesn't matter if it's worth it or not. But I'd keep unless you want to captain Kaku

No way. I like Vardy and think he could keep up with Kaku this week

They both often get 1 goal per game - so could end up with pretty similar scores so not sure it is worth it

N - too many cbs in that man utd team so no certainty that Smalling will get 2 games (plus they have less rest prior to the fa cup than spurs)

Yeah but it's also likely that Monreal doesn't play

yes if smalling starts both its technically 0 and not -4. the way it looks right now, barring some crazy from mou. smalling starts both.

Struggling with what to do with this team. Karma for poor planning and now left with 4 none DGW players.
Using BB This week, FH still available.

    DDG - Ryan
    Mustafi* - Alonso - Lowton - Tark - Chilwell
    Salah* - Willian - Son - Mahrez - Gross
    Aubey* - Firm* - Barnes

    0.4 ITB

Would really appreciate any help please.

    gross > king

If Kane (C) only plays MCI game, then Kaku should take the Vice points against Bou.

Bou in for a tough few games! Go Salah!

Does it work like that in DGW. Playing first season and assumed that if your captain gets 1 minute he is your captain for the week.

    Tough choices
Which is the best option to fund Kane

    a) Alonso > Christensen
    b) Son > Lingard
    c) Gross > Romeu

Probably C then, can't see either of gross or romeu getting many points so should just cancel each other out
