After Man City swept aside West Ham at the London Stadium, we move to Old Trafford in Sunday’s second, and final, fixture as Manchester United entertain Arsenal at 4.30pm.

Having scored or assisted in five of his last six home fixtures, the hosts’ Romelu Lukaku is the third top captain pick in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) for Gameweek 36, with 11.42% handing him the armband.

Jose Mourinho’s side attempt to improve a run that’s delivered just two clean sheets in eight ahead of their Double Gameweek 37 trips to Brighton and West Ham.

Victor Lindelof comes in for Phil Jones at the back in the hosts’ only change, with Alexis Sanchez lining up against his former club for the first time.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger rings the changes ahead of Thursday’s crucial Europa League return trip to Atletico Madrid.

The most sold player (207,000+) for Gameweek 36, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returns to Arsenal’s teamsheet – the Gabon international has produced attacking points in each of his last six league appearances.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan makes a surprise return to the Gunners’ first XI, throwing his name into the hat for a midfield slot ahead of matches with Burnley and Leicester in Double Gameweek 37.

Hector Bellerin is the only first-choice defender retained as Nacho Monreal – transferred in by over 29,000 after netting his fifth of the season last week – drops to the bench.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

His effort was going in. Imagine Bellerin being a goalkeeper instead. If he blocks it, it doesn't go in anymore. If it fell back to pogba straight away or via the post doesn't matter. without the block it would have gone in.

If Pogba is valued by UTD at 90m, then KDB is worth 180m.

Just a general question, and not having a go at anything, but i generally follow the same moves as a lot of good players on jere, including yourselves reading this. Bit of a sheep, yes, but i do use my own initiative also.
However, why is it then that the people i take great advice from and more or less followed the same moves are all ranked like at least top 10k, and i’m in the 300k mark? I don’t get it, season after season.

Try a different approach next season and try and play your own game. Use stats if you have to. I'm not a fan of them myself I think it takes away the achievement a bit but maybe have a go.

      1. Salah’s Sonnet
        • 14 Years
        8 years, 5 days ago

Yeah definitely going twith a different approach from now on, just tired of never ACTUALLY finishing with a fantastic rank, and have been playing long enough to bloody get that now, or so i’d imagine. I’m more of an eye test player than stats, ans anyrhing can happen in every game. Just so deflating to know exactly what it is i’m doing incorrect.

It's happened to me this season. Doing really well then bang . Couldn't catch a break since gw31. Red arrows falling on my head. Nothing wrong with the players i chose they just stopped scoring . It tends to feel a bit like " why me" but you will get your break. Just keep playing and making the right moves. Maybe we should both try these stats a bit more. I just struggle to find it intresting to play that way

Extremely annoying isn’t it. I had like a 3 week purple patch, but that’s it, nothing special.
You’re right, it does feel a bit ‘why me’ haha.
Maybe yes, Jonty is the stat man isn’t he, so maybe we should take on board his premonitions? Haha

              • 8 Years
              8 years, 5 days ago

I couldn't follow anyone myself as im a bit against that. I'm too stubborn which costs me every season. If I was doing stats id have to sit there and do them myself..i am not sure I have time or patience. I think the eye test is the best way and the more skillfull approach . Maybe it's a good balance of both needed

Ahh fair enough man, i'm going to have to take on some good amount of following a select player next season. Take Villa Ronka for example, has had a shocking team most the season, yet ends up like top 4k, i just don't get it lol!
Yeah i just cannot be one of these stat guys at all, some are good to know, but yes, a balance of each could be the correct path.

It's a very good question. If De Bruyne was holding midfield with Fernandinho like Pogba has been with Matuc he wouldn't be getting the accolades he's rightly getting. When Pogba has a free role he can look great.

De Bruyne. But he's encouraged to play ball whereas up until recently Pogba was holding mid with Magic with any creativity stifled.

Pathetic? You think a defensive midfielder in a more defensive team can play as much football as an attacking centre mid in an attacking team with plenty of attacking options around him.

KDB, clearly. Pogba will improve though and KDB has probably maxed out. Pogba has the potential to be as good that doesn't mean he'll realise his talent. Time will tell.

Pogba is a 25m player masquerading as a 90m player.

    5. Somalion

I think KdB but I also think you need to consider the difference in teams. KdB struggled massively under Mourinho.

That's my point though, Mourinho couldn't find a way to use him whatsoever. Sometimes his management of attacking players is odd.

You cannot look at a Mourinho side and a Pep side and think they play anywhere remotely similar attacking football. Pogba under Pep > Pogba under Mou imo.

          1. Digital-Real
            • 9 Years
            8 years, 5 days ago

KDB didn't want to sit on the bench, Jose's view was, there are others ahead of you (rightly so). KDB not succeeding at Chlsea has nothing to do with Mourinho's style of football. It was more to do with KDB being inpatient.

            1. Somalion
              • 16 Years
              8 years, 5 days ago

He got very few opportunities. I understood Mourinho at the time, as he decided he didn't need him. But clearly even in their training and squad set up KDB didn't make an impression on Mourinho.

However my actual point is comparing the two when they're playing under very different management structures isn't necessarily fair. Pep plays a much greater attacking style, attackers will thrive more under that.

Is Willian or Gross a bigger priority to get rid of?

Willian imo. Brighton are bad, but at least GroB is nailed on and on pens

There is an argument for both but I'd say probably Willian because you should be able to do more with your £.

Gross - 10% chance of returns will play

Willian - 40% chance of returns, 50% chance of playing.

      Gross bigger priority, just.
