Romelu Lukaku will miss Manchester United’s trip to Brighton tonight, while Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny faces a spell on the sidelines after being stretchered off against Atletico Madrid last night.

Chelsea welcome back Marcos Alonso for the home clash against Liverpool following a three-match ban, while Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany, David Silva are all expected to return as Man City entertain Huddersfield on Sunday.

Here’s our summary of the team news so far ahead of Double Gameweek 37, with a whole host of big-name press conferences still to come today.

Man United will be without Romelu Lukaku for the trip to the Amex after the forward suffered an ankle injury against Arsenal. Jose Mourinho is optimistic that the striker will be available for the FA Cup later this month, which suggests he also won’t be ready to face West Ham in midweek.

That could allow Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial to lead the line in the Belgian’s absence, though Alexis Sanchez offers another alternative. Meanwhile, reports in the local press state that both Phil Jones and Eric Bailly have travelled as part of the squad to face the Seagulls. Intrigugingly, they have currently omitted Sanchez from their squad listing.

Brighton welcome back Davy Propper tonight following the midfielder’s three-match ban, while Glenn Murray is expected to earn a recall up front after Leonardo Ulloa was afforded a rare start last time out.

Bruno Martins Indi has been ruled out of Stoke City’s crucial home meeting with Crystal Palace due to a groin injury, joining Eric Choupo-Moting and Konstantinos Stafylidis on the sidelines. Glen Johnson is expected to be in contention, while Jese Rodriguez has been granted compassionate leave for the remainder of his loan contract.

As for the in-form Eagles, Roy Hodgson is again expected to name an unchanged side for the trip to the bet365 Stadium. Jason Puncheon is closing in on a first-team return, but Hodgson revealed that the midfielder, along with striker Connor Wickham, is unlikely to feature before the end of the season.

Eddie Howe revealed that Adam Smith and Harry Arter remain out for Bournemouth’s home fixture against Swansea City. Jermain Defoe may come into contention for a recall in attack at the expense of Callum Wilson.

Carlos Carvalhal will have Federico Fernandez (knee) and Luciano Narsingh (ankle) available for Swansea’s trip to the Vitality Stadium. Fernandez is expected to return in central defence, which is likely to shift Kyle Naughton to right wing-back.

Leicester City boss Claude Puel will be without the suspended Marc Albrighton for the visit of West Ham United to the King Power Stadium. Danny Simpson should return at right-back, then, while Demarai Gray could retain his role on the left flank. Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring), Kasper Schmeichel and Shinji Okazaki (both ankle) are all injury concerns, though Ndidi was pictured in training yesterday and may be fit to start.

After being ineligible to face his parent club Manchester City, Joe Hart should replace Adrian in goal for West Ham United’s trip to the King Power Stadium. Arthur Masuaku and Joao Mario could also push for recalls against the Foxes.

Roberto Pereyra (groin) remains an injury concern ahead of Watford’s home encounter with Newcastle United, but Javi Gracia may hand recalls to Troy Deeney and Gerard Deulofeu – both featured off the bench in Monday’s loss at Spurs.

Islam Slimani will miss the rest of the season with a three-match ban after being charged by the FA for violent conduct following an incident against West Bromwich Albion. Rafa Benitez could hand a start to Jacob Murphy at Vicarage Road, but Christian Atsu remains an injury concern.

James Morrison and Gareth Barry remain West Brom’s only injury absentees ahead of the home encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs will check on the availability of Mousa Dembele ahead of the trip to The Hawthorns after the Belgian was forced off with an ankle sprain in the 2-0 win over Watford. Victor Wanyama will be on standby to start in central midfield. Elsewhere, the likes of Serge Aurier, Danny Rose and Erik Lamela are expected to push for starts.

Sam Allardyce could name an unchanged starting XI for the home encounter against Southampton, with Nikola Vlasic perhaps keeping his place in the side at the expense of Yannick Bolasie. Mason Holgate is again sidelined, while a back injury will keep Dominic Calvert-Lewin out once more.

Mark Hughes has revealed that the Saints have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the trip to Goodison Park. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Shane Long are perhaps the players most likely to earn recalls.

Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany, David Silva and John Stones could all be available for the home clash against Huddersfield Town after all being pictured in training yesterday. Pep Guardiola is expected to name something close to his strongest starting XI given City will lift the Premier League trophy on Sunday.

As for the Terriers, they will check on Tom Ince ahead of the trip to the Etihad after the midfielder missed the 2-0 defeat to Everton due to a hamstring problem.

Arsenal will be without Laurent Koscielny for the rest of the season, with the Frenchman potentially set to miss this summer’s World Cup with a recurrence of his Achilles problem. Calum Chambers, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could all start against the Clarets, while the Gunners boss could name a full-strength line-up for what will be his final home match in charge. This could allow Alexandre Lacazette to retain his central role, with Aubameyang stationed wide left.

Chris Wood will be assessed ahead of the trip to the Emirates after being forced off with a gashed foot in the goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion. Ben Mee is still struggling to overcome a shin injury, so Kevin Long looks set to retain his start in central defence.

Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has served out his three-match ban and is available for the home meeting with Liverpool. The Spaniard is expected to replace Emerson Palmieri at left wing-back, though Willian could again miss out, having been named on the bench in each of the last two league matches.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to name a strong starting XI for the trip to Stamford Bridge, given a top-four finish is not yet confirmed. The Reds boss could rotate in defence should he look to freshen up his options following Wednesday’s trip to Rome, with Ragnar Klavan, Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne providing options in the back four. Danny Ings has started the last two league fixtures up top but may have to settle for a spot on the bench this time.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tonight’s 7pm deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter account for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

I have Sane/Sterling/Alli as my disposable mids for Salah in 38. If i replace Sane in 38, i need a 4.2/4.3 defender to replace robbo for 37.
If i replace Alli, i need a 4.6-4.7 defender to replace Robbo in the DGW (options are Yoshida/Cedric/Naughton/VdH).

    a) Keep money for Alli to Salah and replace Robbo with Yoshida/Cedric/Naughton/VdH
    b) Keep money for Sane to Salah and replace Robbo with Bednarek
    c) Forget Salah in 38 and get Smalling/Mawson/Any defender upto 6.1 now

hi all, couple of quick questions

    1) Sterling or Sane? Is sterling essential. I think sane plays both the game whereas sterling is rested for one. ML is very tight
    2) Willian >> Arnie for a hit? worth it?
    3) jesus or kane for TC?
    4A) Alonso + Arnie (-4) or
    4B) Davies + Silva (-8)

Draft league with many players so limited options. Would you bench

    a) Gundogan
    b) Ki
    c) Noble

c scores only from penalties but has guaranteed starts and will play 180 mins probably. a will start one game and will play 0-15 in the other one and may score in a 1-0 win or not deliver in a 5-0 win. b will probably start both games and play about 130-140 minutes and has set pieces but not penalties. Any help appreciated.

Kane may not be in the best of form, but he has games against West Brom and Newcastle in a DGW. This is a a 25+ goals a season striker for three consecutive seasons, who is guaranteed to play both games. Very strange so many are choosing Jesus as TC...

If I'm honest mate, I'm surprised people are TCing Kane over Jesus and Sterling.

Form is bad, he looks rusty, all that stuff about him claiming that goal etc.

Jesus and Sterling are on fire in the best attacking team for potentially a decade or more against Brighton and Huddersfield at home.

Agreed. Kane just being triple captained due to reputation. He is deffo off form and Man City score for fun. Spurs have tricky game at West Brom but Newcastle should be easier.

So I WC'ed last week and have 13 DGWers this week. Still have TC and bench boost left. Which do you think I should use for this DGW. I'm thinking bench boost gives me essentially 7 more games, while TC only gives 2 - but obviously 2 from someone more likely to score points than Jordan Ayew...

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I am in essentially the same situation. Here's some of my thinking.

It's not really a case of seven players vs two. You have to compare GW 37 and GW 38.

If you hold the bb and play it 38, you will still get four extra players. As opposed to seven in 37 ( assuming three DGWers on the bench).

If you TC in 38 you will still get the equivalent of one extra player. As opposed to two in 37.

So BB in 37 and TC in 38 is an extra 7 +1
TC in 37 and BB in 38 is an extra 2 + 4

However the units are not comparable because the extra players involved are either your best players or worse. So it's apple and bananas.

      So:
So BB in 37 and TC in 38 is an extra 7a +1b
TC in 37 and BB in 38 is an extra 2b + 4a

Assuming that you like bananas more than apples ( b represents your best player)

The question comes down to, is:
      7a + 1b more than 2b +4a

      Or cancelling out

      Is 3a > b ?

That is: will three bad players score more than one good player?
Are three apples better than one banana?

NB the number before the 'a' is the number of DGWers on the bench in GW 37.

Someone might have to check my working but I would like some marks for errors carried forwards regardless.

Either could be good, but in terms of ceilings, I’d go Hazard.

He’ll probably get you 4 points but you know he could, just maybe, go absolutely bananas and close the 50 points on his own.

Allegedly Sanchez and Matic didn’t travel with the squad to Brighton. They could of course make their own way there.

If no Matic, does Pogba drop deeper? Does Fellaini full in? Does Managers Player of the Year, McTominay, fill in?

If no Sanchez, Mata suddenly becomes an appealing differential.

Can anyone explain how this is possible?

Rival’s squad value yesterday was 99.6m plus 1.4m in the bank.

He has Kane, who went up last night.

He doesn’t have Lacazette, Adrian, Walcott or Barnes.

He’s not on a wildcard or a free hit.

His squad value today is exactly the same as yesterday - I have screenshots of both so I’m not remembering it wrong.

What’s going on there? Did someone drop in price that wasn’t reported through the usual twitter accounts?

    Otherwise I’ve officially lost it.

Hi, my rival play BB and I'm going TC.

    Rival: Bench Boost
    McCarthy
    Azpi, Smalling, Otamendi, Chilwell, Naughton
Mahrez, Pogba, Arnie, Hojbjerg Kane (C), Barnes

    Me: Triple Captain
    Mustafi, Vert, Dummett
    Salah, Sterling, Lingard
    Jesus, Kane -> TC??

With that squad and I only have 5 pts lead, am I still have a chance to outscore him at the end of gw 38?

    TC Kane or Jesus?
Now is on Kane as rival cause if TC Jesus while Kane hauls, the race is end.

    Hi Guys

Apologies for the long post but your help is needed please

I am unsure whether to take -8 or -12 this GW

I’m currently chasing 16pts in my ML and this is my opponents team

    Lloris Fabianski
    Monreal Kongolo Lejeune Masuaku Fernandez
Arnautovic Sterling Alli Gross D Silva
    Perez Kane Aubameyang

(Still got TC and BB - 0 transfers made)

    My team

    De Gea Hennessy
    Christensen Lowton Vertonghen Morgan Dunk
    Sterling Mahrez Iwobi Ritchie Gross
    Barnes Jesus Kane

    (playing BB Jesus (c))

    Thinking of

Christensen, Lowton, Iwobi & Barnes > Cedric, Smalling, Fernandinho & Rashford (-12)

    or

Christensen, Lowton & Iwobi > Smalling, Fernandez & Ramsey (-8)

Any ideas and thoughts would be welcomed
