France are expected to register a big win against Australia and keep a clean sheet too, upon looking at the ownership levels of their players.

Antoine Griezmann (£10.0m) is the most popular asset for the fixture, coming into it sat in 25 percent of McDonald’s FIFA World Cup Fantasy squads. In the forwards department, only Lionel Messi (£12.0m) and Neymar (£12.0m) more owners.

N’Golo Kante (£6.0m) is the preferred option in midfield, his 20 percent ownership dwarfing that of Paul Pogba (£9.0m).

There seems to be no faith in Australia to continue their scoring run of ten goals in their last five matches with zero percent ownership for their midfield and attack.

Meanwhile, Raphael Varane (£6.0m) and Hugo Lloris (£6.0m) sit in 15 and 13 percent of squads respectively.

You're just judging them off today's performance. They are amazing for their clubs (Even were for their previous ones). Just lacking international experience (Doesn't change the fact that the handball was shocking but still).

most sane people disagree. I think its more a problem we've come to a point in football where a challenge like that is considered worthy enough for a foul amongst a group of 'experience' referees.

well I guess there's just a divide amongst football fans in terms of what is sufficient contact for a player to be fouled. I don't like that something like that Griezemann incident is considered foul worthy. There's no protection for defenders anymore

                  1. willl
                    • 10 Years
                    8 years, 1 day ago

If you don't get the ball and bring a player down through on goal, it is a pen 100%.

                      • 11 Years

he got the slightest of touch on the ball, hit it onto Griezemann, and then followed through. He cant stop the follow through, too much momentum

well its refreshing for someone to provide a different commentary performance instead of the same old clichés and calling out players on the play acting

Wogan dd it in good humour and applied it to everyone. Lawro just hated on Pavard and France. The bias was clear by how wrong he was half the time. Being negative about things without good enough reason. I don't mind negativity (actually I love it!), but this was just unprofessional. He even complained that they were showing the goaline tech replay. It's possible he's just getting old and confused.
