Once again Antoine Griezmann (£10.0m) is the go-to Fantasy option as France get ready for their second match of the World Cup.

However the Atletico Madrid striker has lost some of his owners to those scrambling to get Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.0m) and Diego Costa (£9.0m) in their sides.

Griezmann went into the Australia match owned by 25 percent of managers, he starts today in just 23.2 percent of squads despite winning a penalty and converting it in Gameround 1.

Just under nine percent opted to cover the France attack at a cheaper rate with Kylian Mbappe (£9.0m).

Budget option N’Golo Kante remains a popular asset with 20 percent ownership while some Fantasy managers are sure that France will keep their first clean sheet of the tournament today.

Raphael Varane (£6.0m) is in 14.7 percent of squads while Hugo Lloris (£6.0m) and Samuel Umtiti (£6.0m) are in 12.4 and 10.6 respectively.

Despite missing his penalty against Denmark, Christian Cueva (£6.0m) is the still the most-owned Peruvian asset, in two percent of squads.

With penalty-taking duties still an important factor in his appeal, he also registered nine touches in the opposition box in Gameround 1, more than any other midfielder at the tournament so far.

THE STARTING LINE-UPS

FRANCE XI (4-3-3): Lloris, Pavard, Varane, Umtiti, Hernández; Pogba, Kanté, Matuidi; Griezmann, Mbappé, Giroud

PERU XI (4-2-3-1): Gallese; Advincula, Rodriguez, Ramos, Trauco; Aquino, Yotun; Flores, Cueva, Carrillo; Guerrero.

    Stick or twist, good people?

Depends how likely you think any of the following are to happen:

      Jesus scoring 2 or more.
      Lukaku scoring 2 or more.
Trippier getting an assist and a clean sheet.

I feel like a Trippier clean sheet looks good. He made 7 key passes last game so anything on top is a bonus.
Now considering that Erik c + Trippier would be 20 and Erik + Trippier c would be 19, I'm essentially risking one point but allowing two good strikers in two good fixtures to bang.

England leaked teamsheet shows Rashford up front with Kane and RLC starting in place of the injured Alli. Can't argue with that if it's true

Unlike Hodgson, Southgate's actually making some sensible decisons. RLC in that advanced mid position and Rashford harrasing that defence. . . . makes me sad that I don't have Kane

I guess it's every Eriksen owners question: Coutinho, Lukaku, Mojica. Twist or stick? I doubt Coutinho or Mojica will do more than Eriksen, so in the end is hoping Lukaku gets 2. Might be risky no?

I too have dielema with Cavani and Lewandoski. Should I keep them both or ditch both or one or none.
Cavani had so many chances. He could have 4-5 goals if all were converted.
Might be one more game till he gets me zero or a hattie

Is Sterling actually good or just made to look good by Pep's system and the creativity of his team-mates at City? Or a bit of both?

    1. Eden Wizard
      • 8 Years
      8 years, 1 month ago

Sterling is not good. Big chances missed, I bet he's top.

    2. diesel001
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 1 month ago

He is a limited player IMO. But Pep has realised that and uses him wisely. Look at what he gets Sterling to do - basically make runs from the wing into the box and then someone passes him the ball - he then either passes it to a teammate or shoots.

We try to get Sterling to dribble with the ball and make good passes - but that isn't his game.

      1. Pierce34
        • 10 Years
        8 years, 1 month ago

Good points. I forgot to add this to the question, i.e. good at some things but utilised wrong by England.

        1. diesel001
          • 9 Years
          8 years, 1 month ago

Southgate may be dropping him because he is not doing what Southgate wants him to do. Southgate not a total idiot.

Sterling should be sitting on the shoulder of defenders and trying to make runs in behind. But for some reason he doesn't do it and he comes deep. I think Rashford may prove a better foil for Kane in that respect.

      2. Ghost Gooner
        • 12 Years
        8 years, 1 month ago

Just needs to work on his footwork when rushing into the box to receive a low cross. He panicks/overuns the ball sometimes resulting in miskicks and howlers

    3. Differential C (Mark)
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 1 month ago

Sterling, I feel, is a real talent who simply has yet to fulfill his full potential. Some would argue he'll never reach it. At his best, he combines both pace and.inteligence, with a knack of being involved. Pep's system was a great fit for him.
Unfortunately, he doesn't always give 10/10 every game, which results in several anonymous or quiet showings.
In short, he's good, works well under Pep's system, but simplu isnt world class. No one's going to break the bank for him
