While interest from Fantasy managers was high in last night’s encounter between Argentina and Croatia, there is little at stake in this meeting between their Group D rivals at 4pm today.

The most-selected Iceland and Nigeria assets on show in Volgograd are budget picks, with Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho (£4.0m) the only player in either squad with an ownership of over 10%. Defender Bryan Idowu, also listed at £4.0m, features in 5% of Fantasy squads, meanwhile.

No goalkeeper scored more Gameround 1 points than Iceland’s Hannes Halldorsson (£5.0m), whose penalty save from Lionel Messi has attracted modest interest: the filmmaker-turned-footballer is now owned by 2.9% of McDonald’s FIFA players.

Emil Hallfredsson (£4.5m) is yet another bargain-bin buy with sizeable backing: the Iceland midfielder is owned by 4.2% of Fantasy managers.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alfred Finnbogason (£6.5m), who were both involved in their country’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Argentina, are very much Fantasy differentials, with ownerships of less than 2%.

The Starting Line-ups:

ICELAND XI (4-4-2): Halldorsson; Magnusson, R Sigurdsson, Arnason, Saevarsson; Bjarnason, Gunnarsson, G Sigurdsson, Gislason; Bodvarsson, Finnbogason.

NIGERIA XI (4-5-1): Uzoho; Idowu, Troost-Ekong, Balogun, Omeruo; Musa, Mikel, Ndidi, Etebo, Moses; Iheanacho.

How would you use the 1FT for R3?

    A) Kane > Salah/Griezmann/Mbappe?
    B) Dalsgaard > Jansson

did anyone play this game in 2014 and know anything about the price changes after the group stages?

If I remember correctly, the price rises were negligible. Like, comically small. Obviously they could be implementing a new system, but I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Also, you normally can start making unlimited transfers from the start of MD3. So if you are really bothered just select the highest scoring 15 players then.

    3. 420king
      • 12 Years

Maximum Lukaku will rise is 0.1m

also, i want to know when exactly the price changes take place. we can make transfers for last 16 as soon as the game is updated on monday night so can we get all the good performers to take benefit ?

best time to use Max Cap looks like quarter finals

4 games so a realistic chance of someone getting a big score but only over 2 days, so u get 2 picks max if u dont use max cap

in last 16, u can have 4 shots at it if u pick the players accordingly

          Eh! What's your point?
The whole point and fun for me is watching every ( or most) games - always have done.

My point is you don't care because your country is already there. 48 teams gives more people chance to cheer for theirs.

And how can something fun not be fun..?

My country is not there for starters.

I care because I love football, I spend time watching every game with family or friends..
I think you're way off the mark here, there's a job in Fifa for you I reckon.

Doesn't your country have a bigger chance of making it now though? Or you don't care about that?

I love football myself and I'm excited by the extra games...

I'm sorry , it's the world cup. It's already been swamped with teams turning up not to lose.
32 is about the max for me argueably 24 but the current format is enough.
I want to see mt country there but I want them to be there on merit and do themselves justice.
48 teams isn't about football or competition - it's about money, vote winning and corruption.

That's because of geographical areas. Africa, Asia etc is weaker than others but have a fairly large quota. There are many better teams than these currently not playing at the world cup! Add those to the WC and it's not so bad.

Unless they change the qualification system there will always be bad teams no matter what.

Seem to be huge periods of time in this WC that are goalless...becoming a bit tedious at times.

at least there is late drama and no goalless draws (yet)

Agreed. It's just happenstance that seem to have given is long barren periods...it'll change I hope.

I'd be quite happy with a 0-0 here - Uzoho!

Should I keep Rebic with 4 pts or should I just go with JRod already?

Lets hope he's fit for the next game. 🙁

If not, Rodriguez probably - highest upside.

And by the way, Hummels is injured and out of the squad tomorrow too - just a headsup.

cheers - hadn't clocked that on Hummels
I like Rodders, but Pique also has a goal in him.
