We are down to just four teams left at the World Cup, with set-pieces and penalties still expected to have a big impact on the outcome of the remaining matches.

Once again, we’ve pulled together all the relevant data so Fantasy Football Scout members can work out which nations are the best to invest in for the semi-finals and final.

It still looks like England are the most likely to score from set-piece situations in the last-four, while France could get some joy against Belgium.

READ NEXT: Our transfer tips and stats for the World Cup Fantasy semi-finals

Our research includes the penalty and corner-takers for each country, based on who has taken them either in Russia or, in some cases, in qualification. If there is no number next to a player’s name it’s because they took at least one in qualifying and/or warm-up games but are yet to take one at the World Cup itself.

We’ve also calculated which teams concede the most fouls and attempts from set-plays too to help you work out which nations are the most likely to get set-pieces in the first place.

To clarify, the ‘Attempts from set plays’ section combines those who have shot from direct free-kicks or those who have latched onto the end of a corner.

The deadline for Gameround 6 is at 19:00 BST on Tuesday July 10, so make sure you sort your team in time.

World Cup Data

We’re delighted to offer World Cup data as an early addition to our regular season offering to help those playing Fantasy games over the summer.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

Plot twist: Pep goes to a back 3, Zinchenko leaves and Sane/Mendy rotate as wing backs 😆

Mendy was Pep’s man for last year, he couldn’t wait to get him in so I presume he will be a regular. He is also lethal.

Maybe the return from jury will limit his early participation, but he looks a potential steal at 6.0, could be goals, assists, clean sheets, baps

I’m watching very closely... my two elite def slots are currently VVD & Alonso, but Alonso could easily be Mendy if it looks like he’s nailed and/or if Chelsea look in disarray by GW1

One less attacker though - unless he shifts Fernandinho, who is very capable, into the back 3 and drops KDB+D.Silva deeper into CM.

I actually think that Mendy and Walker as wingbacks would make up for having one less attacker in any case.

To be fair,I think no Mendy was a big part of why Pep played a back 3 at times last year, Sané could do WB but FB would be. Stretch too far (and a waste of his talent)

Mendy might allow him to play back 4 more regularly which I think Pep prefers.

But yeah Mendy in a back three would be points central.

I’d be very happy if Chelsea made no further signings (including staff)

Alonso & Morata very good options if so at their prices, and Azpi

I assume you also mean not losing anyone either, which is fair enough. I still think you have three strikers, none of whom quite fit with the rest of the team.

Yeah I’m not a Chelsea fan, but I see Giroud & Morata as a key 2nd striker price point after Firmino & before a 6.5-7.0!

Vardy, Giroud, Morata look to be great value, maybe Lacazette... but if Chelsea sign Higuain and he’s 9.5 or greater that just makes it more difficult

Personally I agree with happy_player, the attack is too weak, I'd dial down one of Alonso/Robertson, and probably one of your mids to get a better striker.

That said, everyone will change their RMTs in a few weeks anyway when we have more pre-season info, and transfers.

I don't like to plan transfers at the start when there's so much uncertainty and random bandwagon to jump on.

I'm interested in Sanchez - nailed and back from the world cup. Could be a solid pick in a 4/5 at the back for example

Oh, I'm not trying to say get Karius - far from it. I'm just a bit surprised really, for me DDG is way better than any GK choice in FPL and he's firmly in my team.

Why? You've just said yourself Karius had equal PPM for 1.0 less.

Ederson is also cheaper, and his stat is 4.45, and statistically (someone posted a table once) City's defence actually faced a lot less attacks, so has the potential for more clean sheets than Utd this season.

For me, it is clear that though De Gea is a solid option, there are players cheaper than him who offer the same potential, and hence he isn't worth it.

Because Firmino and Salah are a shoe in for me. A third Pool spot on Karius doesn't feel like the best way to utilise it - TAA costs the same as Karius, Robbo 1m more, triple up on Pool attack etc. I want to keep those options open.

I don't see myself having 3 United players, and DDG probably outscores most of their attackers anyway - he outscored all of them last season.

Signing Fabinho will sure up the defence a bit more but whilst there's Karius and Lovren as first team starters, there's not much hope in conceding fewer goals. Ironically, Pool do keep a fair few CS's though - which is probably why Karius did well in FPL.

Huge amount of home cleanies. Pool batter so many teams who retreat into their shells. We're lucky to get Karius at 5.0m.

Let's see if the situation is still the same this time next month, few weeks left in the transfer window yet.

I would personally have DDG and Fabianski over Karius in FPL, for a few reasons.

Who would you like to see come in? I think Jack Butland is an obvious choice, he's too good to be playing in the Championship and Stoke can't realistically expect more than £20-25m.

Karius was actually a very solid keeper last season.

He messed up in the final, yes, but he had concussion. I'm not sure two concussed mistakes in a champions league final should counteract the solid work he put in over the course of a season

Thoughts on these two permutations of my team?

    Subasic (Alison)
    Hernandez Pavon Lovren Maguire Trippier
    XX Modric XX XX
    Kane XX XX

    A) De Bruyne, Lingard, Fellaini, Mbappe, Lukaku/Hazard/Griezman

    B) If I swap out Alison for Kalinic, I'll take a four point deduction, but can put in Pogba for Fellaini.

Which of these do you think looks best? Is it too much to go with both Griezman and Mbappe up top?

Wait until GW3 at the earliest. Yet to be seen how Emery will set up, and whether he goes for the PL or EL. Don't think many teams can go for both - it's quite tough. Chelsea, Pool, United, Spurs and Arsenal themselves have all had to prioritise one competition.

I don’t think it matters whether you start with Mkhi, Martial, Ramsey, Siggy, Theo, Milivojevic, as long as if it’s one of the 7.0 or 6.5’s you leave enough ITB to stretch to a 7.5

One or two of that bunch will come good & become a bandwagon

Is not the definition of underpriced: "Priced more cheaply than his expected points would warrant?"

In which case, if you don't think he'll return many points, even for that price, then that means in your opinion, he isn't underpriced, even if he's priced less than most people expected.

Ramsey is the way forward anyway (or maybe both :O)

Last years I always WC after 3 GWs. But with a early transferdeadline I tought I won't need an early WC. But with so many players returning late from World Cup I think WC after 3 GWs is a good choice. Opinions?

      I said exactly this yesterday.
General feedback I had was that really the players still involved in the world cup will probably be back in contention from GW2, or GW3 at the latest.

I was tempted with some left field picks like Shaw, Lamela, Martial, and WC ahead of GW3...but it's going to be so difficult to predict the early season line ups.

    Just a quick one.

    A) Ederson & 4.0 // Robertson // Daniels

    B) Fabianski & Begovic // TAA // Mendy

I prefer B but there is the added risk of TAA and Mendy not starting GW1 due to the world cup.

TAA and Maendy still at the world cup

    Fabianski
    Bellerin - TAA - Cedric
    Salah - D.Silva - Mkhi - Neves
    Kane - Firmino - Gru

    Subs: Smithies; Schneiderlin, Saiss/Boly, Bednarek.

Don't like Fabianskis early fixtures, and you can't rotate him.
I like Bellerin...but is he under threat from Lichensteiner...genuinely don't know?
Don't think Neves is a fpl option, he's just Xhaka, but playing for Wolves?
      Kane probably won't start GW1.
Like Giroud...again if he's first choice....but still at the WC so like Kane, not sure he starts GW1.

You'd take a high conversion rate over a low conversion rate, wouldn't you?

But seriously, pre-season will indicate the tactical tweaks that will affect the number of chances he's likely to be presented with. I'd expect Everton to be more attacking than they were under Fat S.

Conversely they might be more defensively suspect, which is why i'll be monitoring them t see if I want Pickford or a 4.5 Toffee defender.

I just find amusing that Doucoure wont match last year's output due to his conversion rate being unsustainalble, yet every Tom, Dick and Hairy has Tosun.

Doucoure's conv rate is lower than that of Arnie btw and similar to Zaha's.

There's a difference though. Gracia by all accounts seems more defensive than his predecessor, which could see less goals coming from Watford as a whole. Everton on the other hand are in an opposite situation

Tosun is an educated gamble though, he’s in that magic 7.0 slot that can easily swap to Zaha, Arnie, King, Austin depending on how things go, and has great fixtures.... I think he’s a good bet, I may yet start with him but at the minute going for Austin + money ITB.

If there’s one thing we know about Chaz Austin it’s that when he plays he scores.. it’s just getting him on the pitch that’s the problem!

Last post was too long, here's it is condensed:

Who's best to put up top for semis? Already have Kane and Mbappe.

Is it too much to put Griezmann in too? Obvious other options are Lukaku and Hazard, but Lukaku tends to go missing in games like these, and Griezmann is on pens..

Well you could. I'm waiting to see how Silva sets up the team. It could be that he focuses much more on attack at the expense of defence. He's not know for tight defences - is that because he's never had quality to work with or because of his tactics?

While I agree, there is also a case of making the club look attractive to future prospects/players.
One would assume playing in the EL group stage would make it easier to sign young talent needing a good shop window. It´s a fine line as like you said, it will most likely wreck their legue season

5 points behind the league leader tbf but he has like 5 non-eliminated players left so he's bound to make at least 1 hit. Thinking it's best to play it safe this round and then get adventurous with the 3rd place match players if needed (saving max captain for that too)

Except it's supposed to depend on Dortmund getting Zaha. Is that likely?

That's interesting. I just don't see them getting rid of Zaha. Even for Yarmolenko as bottom line, he's an unproven EPL asset and that's always a risk.
