Fantasy managers backing goals for both Liverpool and Palace

The most captained and most transferred in player of Gameweek 2 will both be at the heart of the action as the latest round of matches draws to a close.

Sadio Mané (£9.7m) was snapped up by 487,000+ Fantasy Premier League managers after his brace against West Ham in Gameweek 1, and he is in the starting line-up tonight.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park having won 2-1 on their last visit back in March. The events of that meeting bode well for Mané and the 54 percent owned Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who both found the net.

Not surprisingly, the Egyptian is the most captained player in Gameweek 2, with 1.4 million managers handing him the armband.

Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), backed by 17 percent of Fantasy managers, also registered an assist during his last trip to Selhurst Park, as well as in Gameweek 1 of 2018/19.

There will also be much interest in the exploits of each side’s forwards tonight with Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) the second most-owned option in this encounter, his 35 percent following second only to Salah. Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m) is not far behind the Brazilian in third place with a backing of 31 percent.

After emerging as a fantastic budget option in Gameweek 1, Aaron Wan-Bissaka comes into his second match of the season now priced at £4.1m and in 22.5 percent of squads.

Tonight’s Monday night match should definitely have a big impact on the outcome of Gameweek 2.

CRYSTAL PALACE XI (4-4-2): Hennessey; van Aanholt, Sakho, Tomkins, Wan-Bissaka; Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic, Townsend; Zaha, Benteke.

LIVERPOOL XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, Gomez, van Dijk, Alexander-Arnold; Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

Please rate my team and help me with transfers:
    Ederson
    Daniels, Robertson, Coleman
    Eriksen, Mkhi, Sanchez, Richarlisons
    Firmino, Aguero, Arnautovic
    Fabianski, WanB, Zanka, Stephens
    2 Free transfers
I'm thinking of getting in Mane maybe Salah, Alonso or Mendy for Sanchez, Zanka and Coleman what do you think?

Indeed but Mendy being injury prone his price might fluctuate over the year. Salah price already being high will be more stable. It's the Mane less teams that could have hard times this season imo as his prices will be rising over the year if he goes on.

    (A) B.Silva to Mkhi
    (B) King to Ings/Wilson
    (C) Gunnarsson to another 4.5m mid
    (D) Peltier to another 4.0m defender

Why get rid? How many clean sheets are you expecting from him?

I got him as a set and forget and plan to keep him until I wildcard. He started with tough fixtures so he was never guaranteed to get any cleanies early on. No need to waste a transfer on him at this point.

What are your thoughts on this ?

    A) Coleman, Jota -> Mendy, Fraser (-4)
    B) Coleman, Jota, Bednarek -> Mendy, Kante, Holebas / xxx (-8)

    - Bear in mind I've got 2 non playing 4.0s - Peltier and Bednarek, who is likely to drop tonight.
    - xxx = any other def up to 4.7m worth getting?
    - Can't afford Coleman -> Mendy alone.
    - Cheers for your thoughts.

Would you move out Cairney for -4 to avoid the price drop? At this stage i'm very keen to avoid drops since they seem increasingly common and rises scarcer than past seasons. But not sure I want to pay with points to protect TV...

With Wan Bissaka out Cairney is my only sure starter on the bench this week, but his replacement won't start (I'll probably go for a 4.5 to get cash ITB):

    Fab/Foster
    Mendy, Alonso, Robertson, Schlupp
    Salah, Mane, Bilva, Richarlison
    Aguero, Zaha

    Wan Biss, Cairney, Kamara

    1. FC Hakkebøf
      • 7 Years
      5 years, 8 months ago

If you do transfer him out, get some 4.5 fodder.

Then do Bilva + Kamara --> Miki + Jimenez/Ings on two ft's when possible

      1. FC Hakkebøf
        • 7 Years
        5 years, 8 months ago

        Plenty of starting 4.5's

        Romeu, Schneiderlin, Stephens etc

    2. bigbudgie
      • 9 Years
      5 years, 8 months ago

but Cairney has BUR? As good as it gets...for a fifth mid, and he's Fulham captain, so he's nailed on. Not sure it's too much of a worry losing value on him

    3. The Strokes
      • 5 Years
      5 years, 8 months ago

      I would say it depends
      - if you think that Cairney is the right Mid in that price range and that you want change him for the next 10 gw then don't lose 4 points in transfer
      - if you think that your team is steady and that next week you will have a free transfer to change Cairney then -4 points is worth more than -0.1 imo and I would wait
      - If you think that you will need to change him in the future and that you won't have a free tansfer for that than take the -4 hit now and save 0.1
Personnaly I would go for the third but I know I do too much trading, just sold last week Morata and Hughues that both scored to haunt me ...

    4. Miro
      • 13 Years

get some 4.5 fodder with very low ownership to minimize the risk of price drops.

    5. Smurf

Keep and ride the drop. It’s only 0.1m and a 5.0m mid like Cairney shouldn’t be a position to waste transfers on, just set and forget until your first wildcard and I’m sure he will tick over some points.

Sorry for double posting but I was last message of the page

I have Bednarek, Darmian and Wan Bis as defenders as those 3 won't be playing the next 2 games I'm going to change the first two.

I was thinking of Schlupp and Cedric do you have any other suggestions?
Does anyone know who will replace Wan when suspended, Kelly?

    My actual team:
    Foster (Button)
Mendy, TAA, Darmian (Wan Bi, Bednarek)
Salah, Mane, B. Silva, Pedro, Richarlison
    Aguerro, Tosun (Benteke)

    Ederson - Hamer
Alonso - Mendy - Robertson - Pereira- Wan Bissaka

Looks fine is kind of an "in form" team eventough I would take another player than Pereira in that price range.
Also I'm not convinced yet by Ings too much rotation risk.
Same for Mkhit, Arsenal team is not stable at all yet: Torreira still needs to comes in, Laca might comes in where does all of this leave Ramsey. Will Ozil or Mkhit drop?
Fraser seemed to be a better solution at the start of the season then now I wouldn't go for him with his fixtures list.

      1. dannydog66
        • 7 Years
        5 years, 8 months ago

I put Pereira just because he plays so high on the pitch....maybe Shaw instead Pereira? Or 4.5m defender?

As for Mkhit i don't trust him either but i need some Arsenal coverage based on their fixtures

Attacking combo is the biggest dilemma...maybe Mitrović-Deeney as they are more nailed or Zaha-Mitrović if I take 4.5 defender and downgrade Fraser....
