      I like the back line.
      Midfield too weak for me. Stankovic only temporarily in the team I think, pedro not 100% nailed either and a bit of a knee jerk bandwagon imho. Frontline looks great though.

        Salah is difficult ignoring with the space he is creating for himself. Plus he is mostly captained every other week so for me cant go without at least for the next few games.

        Tempted to get Hazard in but even more tempted by those 3 heavy defenders and 2 heavy strikers!

        Pedro 0.1 to replace Maddison, Kante over Fraser could be an option but.. Don't know really!

      thats why you bought van dijk in the first place, season keeper. Robertson is going to be rotated during the season, and to me that is more likely to be in the easy games rather than the difficult ones. Van dijk will play everything barring any injury but the chance of that happening is less than the other cbs getting injurys. Apart from that freak injury he got vs Leicester 1.5 year his history doesn´t suggest injurys to come

    This week I did the following for -4:

    King to Zaha
    Jota to Fraser
    Luiz to Alonso

    I deliberated for a long time whether to get Ings and Micky instead, and to keep Luiz. My thinking was Alonso looks dangerous, and should easily at least double rise. However, now I am thinking I should have got Micky and Dings instead, they seem much more popular on here.

    Thoughts?

    Would I be better wildcarding in your opinion? At some point in the future may look to downgrade Mane to be able to do Mee/Tomkins and Kamara to Alonso and someone, etc.

          Reason I was thinking after 9 is because of that LIV Cardiff fixture in GW9. Could be slaughter. MCI LIV was highscoring both times last season though

        I'm surprised by this - and fair play to you. Normally I'd say this is too early because no pattern has formed. Or, more precisely, the patterns that we think have formed are too short-lived, and we'd need another wildcard to fix it in a few weeks' time.

            Oh that season, yeah. Two seasons ago if you'd wildcarded now you'd have gone without Chelsea for example, as this was before Conte made his tweak and transformed Alonso and the defence in general into must-haves.

            My lesson was last year - early wildcard and we didn't have enough forward spots, we all wanted Lukaku, Kane, Morata, Firmino etc. A lot were also ignoring City due to rotation. Fast forward a few weeks and Sterling is nailed and arguably the best value player after Salah, Morata (and to a lesser extent Lukaku) has flopped and everyone is scrambling to go 3-5-2.

            Of course there's no way to tell which type of season this year will be.

      I would, but that's mostly just because I don't trust Shaw, injured or not. And Arsenal's fixtures look good for Monreal/Bellerin.

          Shaw seems just as likely to score a goal as get sent off, or get injured on 58 minutes. Bellerin (who I have in my team) has a strong fantasy history (last season notwithstanding) and better fixtures. Monreal would be my preferred option (greater goal potential), but he was injured when I was building my team for the first week and I had higher priority transfers. The biggest issue I have with Shaw at the moment is that he has very little long-term potential. It seems like he's just a temporary starter until Valencia returns. Why keep a player that you will certainly have to replace in two weeks anyway. MUN play Spurs this week. If you had Monreal and Shaw in your team, it seems obvious you'd bench Shaw; so why not make the trade for him?

            i agree about shaw long term. but if i had to take a hit, it wouldn't be for an arsenal defender, just can't see them keeping clean sheets. bellerin could be dropped/rotated since he was so poor defensively. trippier out of the three for me. ars vs whu is gonna be a goal-fest isn't it, whereas utd vs spurs could easily end 0-0.
