Bored. So here's my team. All set and ready. No overthinking I suppose

    Hamer
    Kabasele Mendy Robertson
    Eriksen Hazard mane Fraser Mkhi
    Aguero King

    DDG coleman kamara AWB

DDG not worth it. Coleman an expensive bench player. Needs more Salah.

      DDG > Hennessey
      Coleman > 4.5
      Hazard > Salah

Don’t think Eriksen’s worth it right now.

Eriksen and coleman will probably leave next week.
I am happy to go Salahless. Hazard is already delivering points with limited time, imagine what he'll do once he gets 60-80 minutes 🙂

DDG to alisson in my mind . Probably in 2-3 weeks

Had a decent start and placed within top 6k. Saved up 2FT and used one of them on Mkhitaryan for Jota, so currently on this lineup:

    McCarthy
    Mendy - Robertson - Bailly
    Salah - Richarlison - Mané - Mkhitaryan - B.Silva
    Agüero - Tosun

    Bench: Hamer, Kamara, Peltier, Bissaka.

Nothing in the bank.. Tempted to replace Bailly, but for whom..? Monreal being the option I'm leaning towards myself, but thoughts appreciated!

There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of long-term thinking in people’s WC teams, which might be equally valuable as getting the right players. Here is my thought process on my WC with some detail, just in hopes of getting people to see it’s very long time until we get another.

    Hennessey (Ryan)
    Alonso Mendy TAA (Dummett WB)
    Salah Mane Mkhi Pedro (Kante)
    Aguero Mitrovic Ings

    Hear me out...

    - Aim for a decent bench,
    - Look a little more long term
    - Find some good rotation
    - Mane > Haz w/ 1FT or
    - Auba in w/ 2FTs

Ryan: Fixtures turn great once Hennessey’s sour in GW10, proven shotstopper in a decent defensive team.

Dummett: Similar to the above, WB turn sour and Newcastle go on a beautiful run of fixtures from GW9 onwards.

Kante: needs no explanation. Rotates very well with Ings (LEI, BOU, CAR, whu, wol, sou, bou, NEW)...that is I even will want to rotate Ings.

    Thoughts?

You could argue there was no long term planning in your original team if WCing so early 😉

I jest. I’m on WC now too. However it shows how fast things change. Get the template risers in you’ll still have transfers.

There was, but I miscalculated and went small up top. Aguero seems to be close to essential, which is why I’m in this position and want to be proactive in rectifying it.

      1. That Was Easy!
        • 12 Years

I’m not smarter than anyone. I just think that with the focus being on packing in all the premium options that planning has gone a bit out the window.

        Hamer, Kamara, Benetton, WB
Has been a bench around here a lot.

I have that bench with my team and feeling a little uneasy with it. Thinking of sacrificing either Robertson or Pedro for TAA or Fraser to upgrade Bennett to a 4.5 or 5.0m just to have some security.

He’s looked good, just think it’s wise to have a surefire option along with him, unfortunately Hamer could be dodgey too.

                  8 years, 2 days ago

I have Ederson/Hamer but Hennessey/Ryan would give me the xtra .5m to upgrade Bennett to a more reliable backup option rather than downgrading Robertson or Pedro who I keep coming back to.

My biggest problem with Ederson is that it’s the 3rd MC spot, fancy a mid will be an amazing option at some point.

Yeh but who? We saw with Sterling,Mahrez last week. Rotation. Ederson is a safe pick.
I am seriously considering it though.
                      What about Ederson/Hamer > Henn/Ryan

                      Pedro,Kamara > Kante,Mitrovic
                      Gives me.
                      Hennessey
                      Alonso, Robertson,Mendy
                      Salah,Mane,Richarlison,Mikitaryan
                      Aguero,Mitrovic,Ings

                      Ryan,Kante,Bennett,AWB

Kante would come in for Mitrovic when they face City

Already did Jota out for Richarlison and took a -4 for to get rid of Moura for Miki.. And now Shaw is flagged. What to do now ?
    Defends : VVD - Mandy - Shaw - Peltier (doesn't play) - Wan-Bissaka (suspended)

    a) hope he plays
    b) remove for Sokartis or other 5.4mil def (-8)

I'm in a weird situation right now, my team looks like this:

    Hamer - (Hart)
    Bavies - Bailly - Mendy - Kabasele - AWB*
    Richarlison - Eriksen - Mane - Salah - Stephens
    Aguero - Arnie - Kamara

I have lost 0.2 on bavies and eriksen dropping and initially thought about rolling over the transfer to next week and then do:

Eriksen, Stephens, bailly -> mkhi, alonso, frasier
    or
same but kamara -> mkhi, alonso, ings

But now I'm really unsure if I should take a hit and just do eriksen, bailly -> alonso, mkhi now for a -4.

    Thoughts?

Yep, no Kun, Alonso, Mendy, Richa swung it - facing 0.8/0.9 of price rises this week right there, throw in the Sanchez/KDB move also up in smoke and probable rises for Fraser/Ings/Wilson/Ederson/Pedro etc & it just looked like an opportunity... I am usually an early Wildcarder though

I think that is fair enough. Just make sure the squad has some bench cover and take a look at who will rise in the next couple of weeks and be an early adopter and you should be fine.

Yeah TAA vs a Robbo is the toughest call in the whole process at the minute. Leaning towards TAA to be honest, allows a much stronger bench to cover those games where one of TAA/Mendy/Mkhi/Kun get benched

A is tempting due to OOP, but Watford look really good. Burnley should be a little leggy after their European exploits....

Ok I might lock this in on WC. Going on vacation and got the fears I might not be able to change temp team before deadline. And let's face it Auba ain't dropping
Don't care if Stephens does he will be back up the week after.

Last minute suggestions to keep me awake during my 5 hour sleep window 🙂

    Ederson

    Alonso Mendy TAA Monreal

    Salah (C) Mkhi Rich Fraser

    Kun Auba (VC)

    Hamer Kamara Stephens Wan-B

    Hey all.

With City playing the first game this round would we know their lineup before the transfer deadline?

I’m worried about rotation and would be nice to be able to make a change based on actual lineups rather than media speculation. Potentially BSilva to Mkhitaryan?

Yeh cheers. Thoughts on BSilva to Mkhitaryan anyway? I’m pretty happy with my team, but feel I need an Arsenal attacker for their upcoming games. Currently have Aguero and Mendy as well, but no Arsenal.

I think it’s a good move, I did it earlier in the week. I don’t think Bilva offers significantly more than Richarlison, Theo, Pedro, Mkhi etc

            • 8 Years
            8 years, 2 days ago

Thanks. It does seem a good move, but BSilva keeps getting plaudits from Pep and I picked him at the start of the season for this run of fixtures because he’s a very cheap and good route into City’s attack. Mkhi still feels to me like he blows too hot and cold and will do nothing as soon as I get him! Guess I’ve gotta decide if the risk is worth it!

That’s what I was wondering. It only needs to be leaked a little early to get a transfer done. Already know what I’d do. If BSilva not playing he becomes Mkhi and if Aguero isn’t playing he becomes Auba. So just need to know who’s starting with enough time to make the change.

I wouldn’t rotate PVA. Palace have great fixtures and he can score in any of them! Get him in a keep him in. I’ll be getting him next week and keeping. Big fan of his potential for points this year. Actually had him GW1, but took out for Mendy as he looked essential. Now want him back!
