Fantasy managers back Spurs over Man United in Monday Night Football

A large portion of Fantasy managers are backing the key Spurs’ men for their Monday night trip to Manchester United.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) comes into the match as the most popular player and captained by just under 500,000+ managers.

Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) were backed by more in Gameweek 3, and the England captain needs two goal involvements to outshine them both.

Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) is the next most fashionable member of the Spurs squad, 24 percent of Fantasy managers hoping for a repeat of recent free-kicks scored against Croatia at the World Cup and Fulham in Gameweek 2.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea (£6.0m) remains owned by just over a quarter of managers, despite not yet keeping a clean sheet in 2018/19. Although with Spurs bringing plenty of attacking talent to Old Trafford, this match is unlikely to be the last straw for him.

The Spaniard is one of just two United players with double-figure ownership. The other one is Paul Pogba (£8.1m), currently backed by 18 percent following back-to-back converted penalties.

There will be some interest Christian Eriksen (£9.4m) and Dele Alli (£9.1m) with the Dane still just ahead of his English team-mate’s ownership, inspite of losing some set pieces duties to Trippier. Eriksen sits in 11 percent of squads with Alli in 7.6.

The secondary defenders (in terms of popularity) for each side are Luke Shaw (£5.1m) and Jan Vertonghen (£6.0m). The United man is in 8.7 percent of teams with Vertonghen in 10 percent.

SOMETHING ABOUT JOE AND WILLY BOLY.

Playing it chill, only Richa to Wally done this week. Thoughts on my team?

Hazard would be nice but would also mean -4 and Mane + BSilva out. Could consider Lucas or Trippier in but around GW6.

    Rui
    Alonso / Mendy / Robo
    Salah / Mane / Wally / BSilva
    Kun(c) / Zaha / Wilson

    Hamer / WB / Billing / Peltier

I watched Mourinho rant last night.
The defense under him played well last year; in particular, Smalling and Jones.
They played good football first half and were better than Spurs but the goal conceded turned the game.
Mourinho has never been a developer of players and his succes has always played pragmatic football with the physical side of things with powerful players being his trademark. He always had the privilege of buying mature players at the top of their game.
English football was like that so he fitted in and won titles.
He has been left behind by progressive managers (Pep Poch Klopp) Dare I say it (Silva Howe) New guys (Sarri Emery santo Janko)
It had to happen. The implosion is what has surprised me.

I’ve felt Mourinho has never been the same since his 2nd time at Chelsea.

The man has really ruined his legacy. His style is now dated, he needs to step away from the game for a while and reevaluate this methodology.

Considering Utd is his dream job he hasn't looked happy there since the 1st season..Then it was living in a hotel an his family were in London..I understand that situation wasn't easy away from his kids an wife...Yet he won 2 trophies that season fair play...Last season Pep an City smashed it an now he's unhappy not getting lads he wanted apparently...Back in 05 onwards he was a breath of fresh air....Just my opinion though i could be wrong..

I have to say that over the last couple of years on this forum, I think the treatment of FPL Virgin has been really out of line. The way people respond to his posts is not far short of internet bullying. I imagine it's the same idiots who love to make snarky comments about RuthNZs multiple teams despite it not affecting them in any way whatsoever.

Virg is an active member of this forum who doesn't spam the pages with desperate RMTs and boring 'this player vs that player' posts (and nobody gets flamed for posting this type of drivel day in day out). Instead he actually tries to start discussions and create dialogue between people. Yes he might get carried away now and then (like using the word 'unforgiveable the other day lol) and he might not be everyone's cup of tea but as far as I can see he hasn't ever posted anything to warrant being constantly insulted. If anything I have a lot of respect for how he handles it, never seems to take it to heart or retaliate.

I find it strange that Lol@ posts can be deleted by overly keen mods but the relentless abuse of one user gets overlooked day in day out.

        "Relentless abuse" - riight.
I think he's alright, its just that he takes absolute stances on some things and is often horribly wrong. He doesn't admit it and makes up an excuse.

When I think about it, that sounds like Mourinho 😆

I think Virgin gets a bit of stick for being such a Mark fanboy but its mostly good natured. As far as Ruth is concerned I can see why people would be irked if someone had multi teams in different cash leagues. How would you feel if you missed out on a prize because of that? (I dont play any cash leagues so it's never affected me)

If he only has one team in each cash league he plays in, what's the issue?

Different if he has, say, 3 differents teams in the same cash league.

Wonderful. They all crawl out of the woodwork and repeat the same lies and distortions as if they are facts. But that's the online world I guess. Nothing to be done. I'm not going to offer any explanation because I have done so before and it makes zero difference. But I have never broken any FPL rules, never cheated and never "scammed" anyone either. Believe it, don't believe it, up to you. But I know what the truth is and I'm the only one that does.

What people advise and the things they say are valid whether they have 1 team or 100, whether they try it in FPL or don't. There are arguments against multiple teams but I think validity of advice isn't really one of them!

The multiple teams thing was a few years ago, and was with the agreement of the administrator of the cash leagues that his family member teams were entered in (one in each league).

He may have controlled the teams of two or three family members in the past but no longer does so, as is evident from their lack of success in the last couple of seasons. As far as I know, he and his family may not even have actually won any cash in those leagues anyway.

He is far from unique in having controlled more than one team in the past or even the present, probably including some of those who continue to criticise and bully him, and there are also many teams in cash leagues that are more interested in winning the cash league than in their overall ranking.

Looks like I did Mane to Hazard just on time last night.

      Ederson
      Mendy - Shaw - TAA
      Salah - Hazard - Mkhitaryan - Walcott
      Aguero - Zaha - Arnautovic

      4m - AWB - Stephens - Bednarek

      Nothing itb.

      Thoughts?

Wildcard active. Kanté as a fourth midfielder might split opinion but I’m finding myself being swayed in favour of it...

      Ederson
      Alonso • Mendy • Robertson
      Salah • Hazard • Walcott • Kanté
      Agüero • Zaha • Wilson

      Hamer • Westwood • R.Bennett • Wan-Bissaka

I would play Wan Bisaka over Kante

do you think Bailey will start next game? I know united are currently doing badly but Burnley seem to have a Europa hangover.
currently have Bailey and Lowton in my team and was thinking of transferring Lowton over Bailey

Tough. Depends on wether or not Shaw is nailed imo.

        A got the highest floor
        B the highest ceiling

Hi guys! I need some advice for a 11-man domestic fantasy. Which combination do you prefer?

      A) Tosun/Walcott + Milner + Luiz
      B) Auba + Guendozi + AWB
      C) Zaha + Milner + Luiz
      D) Sanchez + Luiz + Guendozi
      E) Sanchez + AWB + Milner
      F) Sanchez + Guendozi + Luiz

Walcott, Sanchez and Zaha are all classified as strikers. Milner as a midfielder.

      Point system

      Goal: 4 (Forwards) 5 (midfielders) 6 (defenders)
      Assists: 2 points
      CS: 2 (defenders) 0 (midfielders/strikers)
      Win: 1
      Loss: -1
      Draw: 0

      No such thing as BPS

Hope you don't mind it is not FPL related and still want to help out though it is less relevant for you guys. Sorry for long post

I feel Alonzo is a must have.
Any suggestions to bring him without taking a hit?
