A large portion of Fantasy managers are backing the key Spurs’ men for their Monday night trip to Manchester United.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) comes into the match as the most popular player and captained by just under 500,000+ managers.

Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) were backed by more in Gameweek 3, and the England captain needs two goal involvements to outshine them both.

Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) is the next most fashionable member of the Spurs squad, 24 percent of Fantasy managers hoping for a repeat of recent free-kicks scored against Croatia at the World Cup and Fulham in Gameweek 2.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea (£6.0m) remains owned by just over a quarter of managers, despite not yet keeping a clean sheet in 2018/19. Although with Spurs bringing plenty of attacking talent to Old Trafford, this match is unlikely to be the last straw for him.

The Spaniard is one of just two United players with double-figure ownership. The other one is Paul Pogba (£8.1m), currently backed by 18 percent following back-to-back converted penalties.

There will be some interest Christian Eriksen (£9.4m) and Dele Alli (£9.1m) with the Dane still just ahead of his English team-mate’s ownership, inspite of losing some set pieces duties to Trippier. Eriksen sits in 11 percent of squads with Alli in 7.6.

The secondary defenders (in terms of popularity) for each side are Luke Shaw (£5.1m) and Jan Vertonghen (£6.0m). The United man is in 8.7 percent of teams with Vertonghen in 10 percent.

SOMETHING ABOUT JOE AND WILLY BOLY.

Lots of people going to be priced out of richi to walcott unless they move tonight....

Not quite sure - but a huge surge in walcott transfers tonight according to fpl stats.

Almost wish I'd WC' this week early to get the price rises... now I'm contemplating a possible -8 - how does this sound?

    Bilva > Walcott
    Rich > Hazard
    Firmino > Zaha

The alternatives are Rich > Moura/Walcott or Rich > Hazard and Firmino > Wilson

I still don't have Alonso either but I don't really fancy any of the cheap mids to fund Alonso. Not keen on taking a -8 when it's feasible I might want to WC soon, but all 3 have pretty good fixtures. Originally I wanted to just do the -4 to get Hazard in but I'm not keen on Wilson (or any other cheap forward) short term fixtures

    1. Dr. Ante Pavlovic

    A) Keep King + 1 FT
    B) Mitrovic
    C) Zaha*
    D) Ings
    E) Alonso (-4) - switch to 4-4-2

*Going Zaha means won't have fund to go Mane to Hazard potentially unl

    1. Licious Lizard
      • 13 Years

      C or E.
Zaha has great fixtures and has been a bit unlucky getting YCs the two games he scored so no baps.
Alonso is... yeah Alonso, but a hit may not be worth it. Can see them conceding, but that may not stop his points

Auba goes 3 games without scoring and suddenly his incredible goal scoring history goes out of the window. Just a reminder for those who seem to have forgotten:

    Dortmund:

    2015/16 - 31 apps, 25 goals
    2016/17 - 32 apps, 31 goals
    2017/18 - 16 apps, 13 goals

    Arsenal

    2017/18 - 13 apps, 10 goals

Now look at Arsenal's fixtures, slap yourself in the face and say "I am not a fickle, knee jerking dummy"

On the flipside, he's blanked 3 games in a row, taken off last game on 78 minutes and was shunted to the LW when Lacazette came on. He's short on confidence after missing some big chances vs Chelsea.

He had 3 shots on goal vs WHU at home, only one in the box. Compared to Aguero vs HUD who had 9-4 and even Jesus with 6-5.

Arsenal have been unconvincing at best and downright poor at worst.

Those 'juicy' next 3 fixtures are Cardiff (A) who have just kept 2 clean sheets and have a red hot keeper, Newcastle (A) who have put in some strong defensive performances and kept out Chelsea for 76 mins and conceded to a dodgy penalty call, and Everton (H) clearly not the easiest fixture.

Coupled with Arsenal being notoriously poor on the road. I don't see it. I was an owner. I really wanted him to prove he had something worth keeping. But I'm done and not losing more value. Stubbornly holding on to a player through poor form who's far overpriced is how you tank seasons. If I'm wrong, I'll WC him back in at the Intl' break after Everton for Watford (H), but somehow I doubt I will.

Cardiff's 2 CS have been against Huddersfield and Newcastle though - 2 teams not renowned for scoring a lot of goals. As for Newcastle - they sat deep yet still conceded twice

Basically I don't think you can write off the fixtures as not being easy.

As for his form - yeah, 3 games without scoring sucks. But they were against City and Chelsea and anyone that brought him in knew that was the case at the start of the season - obv he blanked too against West Ham, but forget the first 2 games - you wouldn't sell a player after 1 blank would you?

The biggest reason to get rid is because of Aguero (and not owning him) given how good City's fixtures still are. But if I had both I would definitely be giving him 1 more week.

They're not easy for Arsenal. Have you seen their away record? And no, Auba had plenty of chances vs Chelsea to score and just fluffed his lines. 3 blanks in a row is bad regardless of opposition and especially tail end of the WHU game you could see his head drop a bit.

Is there no point in removing DDG now?
Next 5: bur, wat, WOL, whu, NEW

However, after tonight I'm very tempted to do:
DDG, Richarlison > Ederson, Moura (-4)

    Thoughts?

    1. MMN

Moura has Watford and Liverpool next who are both quite tight at the back. That made me go Richa > Theo for free and hoping to save next week and then use 2 FT to downgrade De Gea to upgrade my 7th attacker. Lucas after the next two looks good but with those two games I just don’t see how he’ll outscore Theo/Pedro

    Richa-> Walcott or Richa->Gundogan?

Second one gives me the opportunity to switch Auba to Kane

    Mane + Bilva + Rich > Hazard + Walcott + Pedro (-8)??

    A) Yes
    B) No

Mane's statistics away from home against the top 6 (which he has 2 of in the next 4) is awful, so worth getting rid for Eden?

    Or I could take a -4 and do Mane + Richarlison > Hazard + Fraser (-4)

    A. DDG + Richarlison > Ederson + Moura (-4)
    B. Richarlison > Pedro

Who is your replacement for Richarlison? I'm between Pedro and downgrade for Fraser (enables possible Mane -> Hazard)

Think I’m going Pedro over Walcott
