Fantasy managers back Spurs over Man United in Monday Night Football

A large portion of Fantasy managers are backing the key Spurs’ men for their Monday night trip to Manchester United.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) comes into the match as the most popular player and captained by just under 500,000+ managers.

Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) were backed by more in Gameweek 3, and the England captain needs two goal involvements to outshine them both.

Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) is the next most fashionable member of the Spurs squad, 24 percent of Fantasy managers hoping for a repeat of recent free-kicks scored against Croatia at the World Cup and Fulham in Gameweek 2.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea (£6.0m) remains owned by just over a quarter of managers, despite not yet keeping a clean sheet in 2018/19. Although with Spurs bringing plenty of attacking talent to Old Trafford, this match is unlikely to be the last straw for him.

The Spaniard is one of just two United players with double-figure ownership. The other one is Paul Pogba (£8.1m), currently backed by 18 percent following back-to-back converted penalties.

There will be some interest Christian Eriksen (£9.4m) and Dele Alli (£9.1m) with the Dane still just ahead of his English team-mate’s ownership, inspite of losing some set pieces duties to Trippier. Eriksen sits in 11 percent of squads with Alli in 7.6.

The secondary defenders (in terms of popularity) for each side are Luke Shaw (£5.1m) and Jan Vertonghen (£6.0m). The United man is in 8.7 percent of teams with Vertonghen in 10 percent.

    is it worth taking an 8 point hit to go from

      If both are definitely out then I'd say yes as it's effectively only -4 and you're getting two in form Chelsea players.

    WC team with Salah, Kün, Hazard and the 3 must-have defenders. What do you think? obvious 'weakness' no arsenal. But i think fraser is great value so downgrading him to upgrade Schurrle feels wrong.

        Neves would rotate with AWB and possibly King. He is probably the best value at his price? On set pieces, Wolves looked good vs City and their fixtures are clearing a bit.

    A dangerous player with 2 great home fixtures perfect for Sarris attacking philosophy. While he may not play 2 x 90mins I think he can still do enough damage.

    I'll be happy to also see Trollcott prove me wrong.

      After the first 3 games City have had an xG of 8.6, Bournemouth 6.6. Fraser is integral to the Bournemouth attack. Fraser.

      For those keen on the Walcott bandwagon, here's Everton's xG from the first three games: 3.3. Sure, they have juicy fixtures, but you're looking at 1.6 million for a guy with 100 percent conversion rate on his attempts. Wally ensnaring new prey in his classic BW trap.
